Vai grimaces when Melody mentioned the playback, and nods her head without saying anything. The less she thought about those images, the better. "Fei is fully recovered, with Johnny's help. He's still tired though, but with some rest he will be fine."

Vai glances at Sadie, taking the hint of herself removing the conversation as encouragement for Vai to have her own pupil. "If you want to try Melody, I can help you get a practice sword and some padding.. though it might not fit properly. I got this stuff fitted for me." she says, indicating her own gear. "Only if you want to try of course. I can show you some of the basics."

Before melody answers she pulls out her datapad and competely erases the playback gone.

Well lets give it a try then. she accepts the offer to try the padding and a practice sword.

A shocking revelation no doubt, that there was another capable of bending more than one element. "That is why I became disturbed left you so quickly that morning."

Lang looks with understanding. If it matters at all, when I found out that I was. I actually wished it wasn't true. It seems there is so much more than just bending concerning the Avatar. The bending is just a tool, from what I have been reading, the Avatar is a spriritual leader for all races. a promoter of peace and balance. I don't know if I can live up to that but I want to try. And if saving the Sun is what needs to be done I will try.

Lang goes back to check another book I still need an earth bending and fire bending teacher. know anybody?

Salis sits near by reading through the books looking for anything information that could help them. Salis was sure that if he was born here this would have much easier for him. Half these books would have been devoted to his memory to begin with.

He silently took notes upon the situation and information that he was learning. To everyone around it was pretty obvious what all the ink stains had came from. He had fill one book with information already and had been working on filling two others. One could only guess why he had been putting notes in two books.

Ace, perhaps a bit surprisingly given his roguish exterior, knows exactly how to react in response to one who is obviously an important dignitary "You are correct mi lady, I hail from a world known as Eberron. I have only just arrived to Agartha recently, within the last three months or so. On my world, I am a High Priest of a deity known as the Traveler."

He looks at her a bit more closely, but not in a rude or gawking manner. "You bear a striking resemblance to a good friend of mine. I am guessing you are her esteemed mother?"

Just need to know she's High Seer Denulia, so that what we discussed can happen

"Well I think you have some time she's going to speak to the headmaster first." Dom really wasn't sure why he was here warning them but if Tami's mother arrived he would want to be warned about it.

Ehos immediately stiffens, freezing in the midst of pulling a few sandwiches to set out. He glances at Jaiye, then back at his datapad.

He goes to get the datapad, which was resting on the rather underused desk, and then brusquely walks over to Jaiye. 'Thanks. It was Dom right? I appreciate it.' he displays to the guy at the door, putting his hand on the small of Jaiye's back as he approached. 'Jaiye... I'm not ashamed of you. I'm not going to hide you from her. The question is: do you want to meet her?'

Jaiye took a deep breath and gave him a shaky smile. "Well...I might as well get it over with. I mean, your sister is my best friend and I'm dating you...I'll have to meet her eventually."

"I'm kinda terrified....just so you know." The admission was rather cute though the set of her ears and the droop of her tail made her mood blatantly obvious.

Tyrrin doesn't look shocked in the slightest, and merely nods. "Ah... sooner than I expected. Thank you very much for this information, Tamina" Tyrrin says informally, using her first name, which was virtually unheard of.

She pauses still at the doorway, and says. "Was there anything else?"

Tami shook her head. "No, I just thought you'd appreciate some warning. I know I would in your position. I asked Dom to warn Ehos, so he doesn't get surprised either....Good luck."

With that she turned to go, heading towards Dom in order to hopefully salvage some of their night.

"Hey, are you saying I'm not pretty?" Vai mock-complains about being less distracting than Melody's boyfriend, but she quickly smiles.

"Alright, so I want you to attack me, however you want. You don't have to worry too much about hurting me either, because of the padding." Melody takes an attack stance pure textbook she maneuvers calculating each potential strike point. Vai manuvers to continually face Melody.

then with a lunge similar to what she did with Kai earlier she attempts to attack attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16

Attack seemed adequete to a lesser trained opponent. but still she lacked any real practical skill with the blade.

Vai, I really appreciate this, but there is something I really wanted to talk to about. its a girl thing and I don't really have any girlfriends at the school yet.

Melody contiues to try and trike at Vai. her steps seem to be rythmic, like keeping a tempo of a song. and she strikes a second attack (during her conversation.

attack #2: 1d20 + 11 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 11 + 3 = 25

"You are right though, that fear is a powerful instinct. It seems to be less here though." Rena waves her tail in a broad sweeping motion, to encompass the grounds. "I am glad that you are not afraid of me, Anahita."

While this conversation has been going, Vare has been removing the lids from the various trays and dishes he has set out. There's various delicious smelling aromas, most particularily the seared fish - covered in earthy spices, and somewhat soaked in lemon juice. The sides compliment the dish well - creamed spinach, boiled potatoes dressed with dill butter. There is some sort of roe with white rice which seems to be the appetizer. For dessert there is set out a small-ish plate of fruit with cream.

Vare serves himself and Anahita a plate, and pulls the lid off of a larger dish, clearly meant for Rena, with another whole fish inside. Rena takes a deep whiff, and smiles in delight. "I do not require food, but that doesn't lessen the taste of it at all." Rena says, looking hungrily at her plate.

"Well, this certainly smells delicious. I'm salivating just at the thought of biting in." That said, she gives her thanks to Vare and starts to eat, using her fingers. It's more efficient, after all.

"Mmmm.. tasty. Where did you get the ingredients?" She eats with vigor, not rudely, but, certainly cleans her mouth and chews with it shut, so there are some manners after all.

Ehos looked around the room. He wasn't sure if he should be terrified either. His heart twanged though when Jaiye's ears and tail drooped. It was so adorable. He tried to smile for her, but it was shaky too. 'Listen Jaiye, I've spent my whole life trying to avoid her will. If she doesn't like you, that'll be her problem, just like everything else I've done that she doesn't like.'

At the mention of the High Seer's name, Ace appears to get dizzy and sways a bit on his feet. He seems like he's about to fall over, and nearly does, when suddenly he catches himself, "Ugh, ooh, that wasn't good. That's the second time that's happened to me today." He says, half to himself

He shakes his head, and blinks a few times, "My sincerest apologizes High Seer, I am unsure what came over me. But I assure you, it has passed. The lovely young lady is Ginni, my girlfriend. The little ball of fur in her hands is a puppy we rescued just prior to meeting you."

Vai can tell Melody's heart really isn't into the duel at hand as her reations to each fent is way off.

Melody glances toward Kai teaching some others. she lowers her sword and grabs Vai's arm to lead her outside. I can't here, come on

to Vai:

Once outside the room
Vai, how did you know for sure you and Fei were in Love? I'm having mixed feelings about Kai. I'm...I don't know, I hate feeling like this. I mean do I love him? or don't I. sometimes he just...makes me so frustrated...I don't know what to think or feel anymore

She looks at Vai. And I had another incident or so Kai tells me, you know forgetting what happened

Lang looks to both of them. I repsect your decision, it's just not the way I was taught. prehaps I do need to learn more, but I cannot so easily abandon my vows, nor would I want to.

Lang looks to Ardiente

I only hope that an oath to be at my side and to train me is not one of those oaths.

"Nor should you, young one. I however can never go back to my vows. I only can hold there teachings close. I pray you never have to make a choice between your vows and what's right like I have." Looking to Ardiente "I suspect that Ardiente has had to make that choice as well. He still shows the pain of leaving behind his vow and that tells be more about if he can be trusted than any unbroken vow could. Someday you will understand, but today you should just hold your own vows close." He seemed to relax as the conversation move away from his own order and home.

Not really sure if it is near a mealtime, but Kezzin is going to head to the cafeteria anyway; he is nearly always hungry.

::O yes sounds nice::

Star says to both of them

::I like flowers and they have very nice ones here, full of nectar::

Anahita bint Tariq wrote:

"Well, this certainly smells delicious. I'm salivating just at the thought of biting in." That said, she gives her thanks to Vare and starts to eat, using her fingers. It's more efficient, after all.

"Mmmm.. tasty. Where did you get the ingredients?" She eats with vigor, not rudely, but, certainly cleans her mouth and chews with it shut, so there are some manners after all.

Vare digs in with his hands as well, obviously some point during his life he has lost eating manners - if he ever lost them. He also chews with his mouth shut, but only seems to clean his hands if they get too grubby, or once he's done eating. "I am glad you enjoy it. I had some help from the kitchens, and the school's larder provided the ingredients."

Rena was eating rather noisy, as her snout and lack of hands or other limbs make it difficult. Vare watches her eat with a reserved smile.

He seems content at this moment to merely relax and enjoy the food and presence of Anahita and Rena.
