Karla Phury |

Karla nods at Salis. "That is correct. While I was being trained, they spoke of a curse that would naturally affect me, but they could never tell me what it could be. I've seen some with their eyes of fog and others where objects would move just out of their reach as they moved to them, but it never came to my attention that I could speak other languages other than the ones I learned in my... My tribe," she said, trying now not to fight the words now that she was more aware of them. "When I learned that I showed signs of being an Oracle, my people praised me, some even feared me. But I failed them, I can't always control myself. They... They had a right to fear me," she said, her own fear bleeding into her tone. As this revelation hit her, she began to breath a little harder, a little faster. The air around her began to shimmer as what seemed like heat waves came off her body. She began to shake as she suddenly noticed that she, once again, was out of control and she backed away as fast as she could as she hugged herself in an attempt to keep herself together.

Salis of Bletherad |

"It's ok here you will learn to control your power. Another bonus is that your power will not be able to harm another person here. So there is no need to fear. Now if you would follow me you will need to sign up for classes. That way we don't have to have the head master do your schedule he has a lot to deal with here." He stands from his seat and waves her to follow him. He steps in to the hall way. {b]On our way would you like to tell me about your power."[/b]

Miss Jones |

"I believe Mr. De'Foul that you would be well-served by the same device we used for Mr. Dacamara last year. It is a cuff that you wear around your wrist that monitors your vital signs and brain activity and provides calming when necessary. This will prevent you from accidentally harming those around you should you lose control again."

Raelle del Sol |

"See Raelle? It's fine. Are you alright? Do you want to go talk to him, or do you want me to tell him to come back later?" Vai was still worried about her little sister. It was a strange feeling, for once, to be the older sister.
"Yes. No. I...I'm scared. I don't know what to do. Everything is moving so fast.....I...yes, yes I want to talk to him."

Kitty Tanaka |

Dave nods "that would be acep-most welcome, thank you. who is Mr Dacamara?"
"Michael," she said looking a bit strained. "My boyfriend. He...had some problems last year. He....he hurt some people. He's not like that. He's kind and thoughtful and...he wouldn't have done it if he was in his right mind." She was blinking back tears. "Nala and Miss Jones were able to help him."

Karla Phury |

Karla squeezed her eyes shut, praying to any deity that would listen that she would regain her control. She slowed her breathing and cracked her eyes open as Salis talked to her, although she didn't hear much in her panicked state, she understood what he was trying to say to her. After a few minutes she nodded, and she tried to relax herself as much as she dared.
" I would like that," she said as she slowly followed Salis out the door, keeping a few paces back. He said that her power couldn't hurt anyone here, but she kept the distance just in case. "I have power of fire, amongst other things, but that is what I was taught by the other Oracles. I always thought that that was my curse. I cannot control my fire, and I've had decades to learn, but fire is... Alive, untamable. They called it a 'gift', but it's anything but. You cannot control fire, it only harms and destroys," she said as they walked. She took a deep breath to collect herself so she didn't go down her dark road again. The heat radiating off of her seemed to cool slightly, but noticeably.
"I'm not sure if the gift of fire was triggered by my being an Oracle, but it has always been there, always a hairs breath away from breaking free. And that's why I agreed to come here. To learn control over my inner magicks and master my blade," she stated, patting the sheathed sword as her side.

Raelle del Sol |

Raelle walked up to Dave and started to reach out to touch his arm and then stopped herself, unsure.
"I'm sorry. I'm scared. I wish I was more calm and supportive and....but this is terrifying. I'm not even sure if I'm scared for you or of you right now...I....I want to believe that you're like I've seen you the past couple of days, but....we've known each other such a short time and...I don't know what to do."

Salis of Bletherad |

"I can tell you this any curse maybe a blessing in disguise. You just have to learn to control those forces that drive it. Luckily this is the best place to that at. Not because of me mind you but because this place has been designed to help those like you. He explains as he walks her through the halls.

Dom Waverider |

Dom stands there not really sure what to do. Comfort some one, make a comment, play a love song, or play a fun song. Ether way the tension feels like he could cut it in here.

Ginni |

"I am a follower of the Traveler, the god of Chaos, deception, evolution, invention, and transformation. He is said to be the father of my race, along with any race that changes form, such as Lycanthropes and Shifters. Legend says he is the only god from my home that walks the world in mortal form, but of course, none of us recognize him, since he can take any shape he wants."
"Huh. Never heard of him. Though it's certainly an impressive set of domains for a god."
"I've never really been all that religious. I figure most of the gods would probably not like me cause they like collecting souls for their afterlife and I like eating souls. Never had a cleric disagree with that statement."

Karla Phury |

"Thank you. And you've already helped me find my calm. Usually something happens when I get upset; something catching fire or exploding, but there was nothing," she said with a smile. "I noticed the painting hanging on your wall, and, besides the... Beings I don't recognize, I did see that the giant had a rather nasty scar on his leg. What happened to him?" she asked, trying to bring the subject off of her and learn more about her teacher.
You know that was going to come up sooner or later lol

Salis of Bletherad |

"Lets just say it was his own mistake. I don't dwell too much on the dumb moves my allies have done. Now that I'm thinking about it I don't usually think of him for most my memories at least the good ones." He sounded exhausted just from thinking about it. I'm glad that you are finding your calm. Here if something happens it won't be as big of a deal since there are wards pt in place to pervent anything too bad from happening but there are some times this that slip through the cracks."

Karla Phury |

"I get that. I saw that you have a lot of books, maybe, if you deem it appropriate, I could read one on magic to help understand my own?" she asked. She wanted to do whatever she could to prevent any harm to others, even if the schools wards would negate the worst of it, how much will it take to activate them?

Salis of Bletherad |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

"Of course you may borrow some of them. I don't have as extensive of a library pertaining to the multi-verse however. Luckily I have a few I have written on magic here. It's something I have been researching extensively." Salis starts pulling numerous books out of the small satchel at his side. "Here I believe this one should be of help for your type of magic." He hands her a thick book entitled. Divine Mysteries of magic. After he starts slipping the books back into the bag. "It's good that you are wanting to study your arts to be better prepared to deal with them. It is my belief that knowledge is a power that can fell any foe be it yourself or another. Which is another reason why one must be careful how you use knowledge."

Tybalt Baneko |

Tybalt is attempting to find the cafe without the arrows for once "If I get too lost I'll use them but this might be a good way to find more of the interesting parts of the campus."

David.De'Foul |

Raelle walked up to Dave and started to reach out to touch his arm and then stopped herself, unsure.
"I'm sorry. I'm scared. I wish I was more calm and supportive and....but this is terrifying. I'm not even sure if I'm scared for you or of you right now...I....I want to believe that you're like I've seen you the past couple of days, but....we've known each other such a short time and...I don't know what to do."
Dave looks like he's been slapped before he get's his expression mostly under control "I.. I understand, if you want I'll go away, maybe go fix up my ship, but then get out of your hair... but I want you to know. I would never hurt you... I would rather die myself than see that happen..." he then takes a step back.

"Ace" |

He chuckles softly at her comments "I would be surprised if you had heard of him, seeing as how I'm not from Agartha. Hmm, I don't think that's the same for my deities. But I tell you what, as I am technically a cleric of my god, I hearby forgive you all past and future soul snacking."
He puts his hands over her head "Ohm nome zome, oh He Who Travels the world with a thousand faces, please bless this gorgeous young succubus with a hunger not for souls, but instead for delicious fruits and vegetables, especially green ones. Ohm nome zome!!" he keeps his composure for all of a few seconds before errupting in a giggle fit.

Vai Sunwake |

Raelle walked up to Dave and started to reach out to touch his arm and then stopped herself, unsure.
"I'm sorry. I'm scared. I wish I was more calm and supportive and....but this is terrifying. I'm not even sure if I'm scared for you or of you right now...I....I want to believe that you're like I've seen you the past couple of days, but....we've known each other such a short time and...I don't know what to do."
Vai was now standing just a little behind and to Raelle's side. With David contrite, Vai doubted she would be needed, but she was still there for her sister.

Ehos Denulia |

Anahita will spend some quality time learning about the data pad, though her questions are potentially not fulfilled since, she is very curious with any technological experience what so ever. In the end she is very grateful, hand on the forearm of Ehos stating her graciousness.
"I truly hope to learn about this technology, I feel it might be why I was sent- or led here."
There are certainly large gaps in Ehos' knowledge concerning the functioning and construction of such devices, though he seems pretty fluent in their use. He attempts to explain that, while these types of devices are common on Agartha, until recently the knowledge to make more had been lost. His heartbeat quickens when Anahita gratefully touches his arm, and he cannot help but smile.
Eventually though, she does display a finite amount of interest to the books finding Ehos if they were separated, mentioning to him that food may be worthwhile endeavor.
She'll wait to see if he's hungry too.
Ehos does feel a bit peckish... they have been wandering around the library for quite a while. While the pair are walking back to the cafeteria, the elf has a thought, and begins writing. 'If you are this interested in technology, you really should speak with Professor Sunwake. She's head of security, and I think she knows the most about this sort of thing. Would you like to visit her before or after dinner? I'm sure we can find her quickly.'

"Dave, wait!" She said, reaching out to grab his arm before she could lose her nerve again. "I...I just need some time. Everything has happened too fast. That scares me too....I need to slow things down. I...I'm sorry. I know this is hard for you too. I just....I'm scared. I'm scared of how much I like you when I barely know you. I'm scared of being wrong about you. I'm scared that I'm just messing everything up more. I....I do believe you that you wouldn't hurt me. Not on purpose. But I'm scared of these episodes and the fact that you weren't in control of yourself through this. Even more I'm scared of what this will do to you...You've met my youngest sister, but you haven't met Ignace. She's older than Chara, and younger than me. She...when she was Chara's age...there was an incident with some other children who were teasing her. Not just name-calling. They would kick her and throw things at her. I stopped them when I could, but I wasn't there that day...and she lost control of her magic. A couple of them didn't survive it. She hasn't used her magic since. She refuses, but it's not just that. The Ignace that I'd known until then was just gone. She's so completely shut off even now, years later. And I'm so afraid that you'll do the same. I don't know if I can watch that happen to someone I care about again. I'm not like Fi or Chara. I'm not brave. Please. I just....I need time," she said, tears running down her face as she tried to decide if she was more scared of losing him or staying with him.

Gavin Trell |

Walks into the cafeteria at the end of what is obviously the tail end of an 'event', tension in the air just fading but still strong. He starts to back out, but his stomach grumbles and he heads in, hunger overriding his good sense. He will smile at anyone he's met before, good or ill, an head straight to the food.

Lang Fei |

Lang sits and meditates for a bit comforting himself and keeping near Sun in the hopes that this whole mess is behind them.
I never really wanted that stupid candy anyway he mumbles to himself.
confident that Sun will be out for a bit in statue form Lang goes back to his orginal plan.
Lang decides its time to go check out the section of the school he will be attending.
at least I'll be away from all that teenage drama
Lang wanders a bit around the elementary wing looking for other students more his age.
I like Chara and all, she seems nice but she is a little young and I don't want to hurt her again, maybe there are others more my age, on cusp of teenager probably the last year in this wing before moving up.
Lang contemplates his situation hopeing he isn't alone at this awkward age as he checks the various classrooms and watches some the teachers prepare for tomorrow's first day lessons.

Ignace del Sol |

In one of the classrooms he sees a girl near his own age bent over a sewing machine, making something, though he can't quite tell what.

Ignace del Sol |

Ignace looked up from what she was working on, tucking her blonde curls behind her ear to keep them from falling across her eyes.
"Hello. Is there something I can help you with?" she asked primly.

Ardiente, of the Fuerte |

Ardiente had been trying very hard to ignore the scene between Raelle and David, instead nervously playing with a bit of fire between his hands. It wasn't his business after all, who Raelle was with. But then Raelle's story about Ignace pierced straight to Ardiente's heart. Such a tragedy! Such pain she must've endured! he thinks, though the full ramifications most likely elude him. But not practicing magic? Fire was wonderful and joyous, and yes, dangerous to those who did not like heat. But that is why you need to know how to control it! This wouldn't do! If Ignace never learned, she might experience another tragedy!
Yes, even in his thoughts he over-acts. :D

Lang Fei |

Ignace looked up from what she was working on, tucking her blonde curls behind her ear to keep them from falling across her eyes.
"Hello. Is there something I can help you with?" she asked primly.
Lang bows I..I... he seems to be stuttering a bid with a slight nervous blush I'm...Ahhh...Hi?
Lang figits a bit then takes a couple of deep breaths.
Hi, I'm Lang, A new student here and I was just exploring a bit and wondering if there were any other students here my age. And I saw you and ....What'cha making?
there, I said it, and I sounded like an idiot
Lang sounds as if he has never spoken to a girl his own age before.
goes to lesan against a small table but ends up missing and falls flat on his butt.

Vai Sunwake |

"Dave, wait!" She said, reaching out to grab his arm before she could lose her nerve again. "I...I just need some time. Everything has happened too fast. Vai moved a little closer to Raelle and took her hand. She was alot more sympathetic to Dave now that Miss Jones had revealed the cause. She knew what it was like not to be in control of your powers. Hell, when she had first gotten here, she had transformed into a dragon in the bathroom by accident. "Hey, Sis." she says softly. "Let's go. You need some time and some space. You don't want to do this when you're upset. Trust me."

Asch Redgrave |

What did that girl just say? Ardiente goes sheet white when Tamina mentions that Ginni is part fiend. He coughs slightly, which is a bit gross because his mouth of full of food at that moment, and some of it lands on his plate.
Ha if you think that's bad my wife is full Succubus. ;)

Ginni |

He chuckles softly at her comments "I would be surprised if you had heard of him, seeing as how I'm not from Agartha. Hmm, I don't think that's the same for my deities. But I tell you what, as I am technically a cleric of my god, I hearby forgive you all past and future soul snacking."

Ginni giggled along with him. "Dumbest rite ever....I love it!" she gasped, laughing.

Ignace del Sol |

"I am making a dress for my sister. She wanted a new costume for tonight, and I'm better at sewing than she is."
"I am Ignace. Are you going to be in my class?"

Raelle del Sol |

Vai moved a little closer to Raelle and took her hand. She was alot more sympathetic to Dave now that Miss Jones had revealed the cause. She knew what it was like not to be in control of your powers. Hell, when she had first gotten here, she had transformed into a dragon in the bathroom by accident. "Hey, Sis." she says softly. "Let's go. You need some time and some space. You don't want to do this when you're upset. Trust me."
Raelle let go of Dave's arm and nodded. "I'm sorry," she whispered.

Lang Fei |

"I am making a dress for my sister. She wanted a new costume for tonight, and I'm better at sewing than she is."
"I am Ignace. Are you going to be in my class?"
Lang gets up feeling completely embarassed.
I hope so....I mean I think so
costume? sister? langs mind raced with a thousand questions.
So what's tonight, I mean who is , I mean
Ok lang deep breath
I'll start over, i'm Lang and I am pretty sure I'll be in your class unless they split up boys and girls. but anyway what's going on tonight? and can I see the dress? it looks interesting.

Vai Sunwake |

Vai led her younger sister away, out of the room, thanking Miss Jones for her help on the way. "Just take deep breaths. Alright? It'll help you calm down." They were out in the hallway now, walking in no particular direction. "Do you wanna talk about it?" Vai asks softly.

Ignace del Sol |

"They don't split up the class according to gender."
"There's a concert tonight. It's mostly for the older kids. My oldest sister is a singer in one of the bands. "
She sighed. "You can only see the dress if you promise not to touch anything. I don't have enough time to start over from scratch."

Tybalt Baneko |

Vai led her younger sister away, out of the room, thanking Miss Jones for her help on the way. "Just take deep breaths. Alright? It'll help you calm down." They were out in the hallway now, walking in no particular direction. "Do you wanna talk about it?" Vai asks softly.
Tybalt passes by two distressed girls in the hallway. He can smell that they've been near Mr shiny He's interested but keeps floating. Eavesdropping is rude

Raelle del Sol |

Vai led her younger sister away, out of the room, thanking Miss Jones for her help on the way. "Just take deep breaths. Alright? It'll help you calm down." They were out in the hallway now, walking in no particular direction. "Do you wanna talk about it?" Vai asks softly.
"I totally screwed everything up didn't I?" she said, her tears starting all over again.

Vai Sunwake |

"You did nothing wrong Raelle." Vai says firmly. She was trying to act like Ephebe did when Vai had been upset. "And I'm sure David sees it the same way. You did fine. Come here." Though she's only a little bigger than Raelle, Vai embraces her, stroking her sister's hair, trying to calm her down.

Lang Fei |

Lang backs up a step and holds up his hands.
I promise
By the way who is your sister, and are you going to this concert?

Raelle del Sol |

Raelle sobbed against Vai's shoulder, confused and afraid and unsure.

"My oldest sister is Fieri. And I don't think I'll be allowed to go to the concert....I don't like crowds anyway."
She showed him the partially finished dress made of orange and gold silks, with a short skirt cut with pieces hanging down to flutter like flames.
"I still have to sew on the sequins once I'm done assembling it."

Lang seems to be looking at the dress being shown but ignace can almost feel lang is looking at her showing the dress than the actual dress.
beautiful is all he can say.
when she is done showing it. can I help? I used to help do stuff back at the temple.
