What's wrong? I thought you had a pretty good idea. and maybe you being able to fly would be helpful. Maybe I could teach you the commands for Simba and you could help me and we swap out so we can carry more people.

"I will stay, Ehos, if you desire to be out this creatures presence. He does not scare me, and if he tries to mess with my mind, I shall flay his skin right off his body" Silinrul says evenly, without a touch of emotion in his voice. It would appear that he has at least sort of accepted the Elven boy, and thus wishes to help him.

Ehos turns to Silinrul as he spoke, and a bit of a despondant-but-attempting-cheer smile crosses his face, and he nods. He doesn't seem too off-put by the apparent brutality of the Lycan. Jaiye said similar things at times.. but she could also be tender too. Lycans were complex, more and more he saw that. 'Thank you Silinrul. I appreciate it.'

With that, Ehos moves to take Jaiye's hand and unless stopped, heads out of the Sim Rooms and into the hallway. Once he's out of Shaypeer's presence (and preferably anyone else too, but the hallways are a busy place), Ehos will turn around and fiercely hug Jaiye, a hand on the back of her head and one in the small of her back, pulling her in close and holding on for a long while.

Midori had been about to hug Hew-kun after they had made up, but then Lang had said 'would you two just hug already' and afterwards she had been too embarrassed to follow up at all. She did smile though, and a little happy-nervous giggle had escape her lips after all the grief of the afternoon slowly started to leave.

"I'm sorry I can't fly too." Midori says after a moment, but she doesn't seem too contrite, more just adding to the conversation. "Otousama has wonderful wings, but I have a horn instead." and she taps the pearly-white unicorn horn with her finger, before looking at Lewis with a smile. Her weapons are now all hidden, once again in her pouch.

Trying to get caught up so I glossed over a few things so we don't break the flow of the scene. Hopefully not a problem!

But after hearing rumors of trouble here last night, Obaa-sama decided we needed to be guarding from a closer distance. So I'm here to apply for a teaching position, Antairus-sama."

"Your rumors were correct. In any case, what teaching position would you like?"

She shrugged. "I'm good at covert intelligence gathering, seduction, and using sharp pointy objects," she said with a grin. "And of course the usual ninja skills of tumbling and not falling off of really high things. The question is, what teaching position do you have open that intersects with at least one of my skills."

Ehos is quiet while the hug goes on for several minutes, unable to answer verbally. The hug does eventually end, and Ehos pulls back slightly, datapad coming into his hands. He looks a bit grim, or perhaps simply sober and serious. It's not a good look for the typically happy-go-luck boy, but the content of the message on his datapad is a good hint as to why: 'Jaiye.. Since we want all cards on the table... What if what Kara said is true? About her... Carrying my child? Can we really kill her? Demon or no... The child will have done nothing wrong. I... Realize she might be bluffing to illicit exactly this kind of reaction from me... But if it is true...'

'I don't know I have it in me to kill an expectant mother, demon or no. I...' the datapad trails off and he looks to her, almost pleading. Hoping she understood. He knew he was just dumping more pain on her, and he hated himself for it, but he couldn't just leave it to fester.

Jaiye grimaced. "I could. Obviously. You know my history. But...."

She sighed and looked away. "Fine. I'll see if I can semi-permanantly borrow one of those stones from the infirmary. We try to capture her. If she gets killed in the attempt, well, we tried to take her alive. If we succeed in capturing her alive then we use the stone to test whether she's telling the truth about the baby. If she isn't then I get to rip her throat out. If she is then we need a plan for long-term containment and after the child is born I get to rip her throat out. One way or another this does not end well for her."

As Miss Jones works, Rena will simply continue to both receive and give comfort with Asha, eager for this mess to be over. Honestly she was already much calmer than she had been, her anger having flared and burned away, leaving her feeling actually much better about all this. All she felt now was pity for Shaypeer.

Tyrrin understood exactly what had been said, but she was no biologist. She had no solution to this problem. She also realized that she would soon join whatever hive mind controlled these people. She had to act, but she did not have many options.

"If it's sentient, and it can adapt to magic, then it must be magical in nature. Perhaps we can at least block the hive mind with an anti-magic field. It may even kill it, if the virus is magical. Can anyone cast such a spell?"

Mental Response:

::My real name is not relevant, I am no longer that person, I am Shaypeer. As for how long I have had these abilities, perhaps a month or so now, after a good half year or more of being ignored-- but no more. I am reborn by my own hand. I hardly see who I've been disrespectful too, considering the treatment I've endured today, for no justifiable reason other than ...fear, or lack of control someone else's part.::

Without opening her eyes Miss Jones begins to speak out loud.

"No outside interference appears to be present in the student's mind. The student was offered an opportunity to be released and exonerated of any willful wrongdoing in exchange for two pieces of information, his real name and a simple description of how long he has had his powers and what he thinks their source is. He refused. He is using his outrage over being restrained as a shield. Personally, I find this odd. This is no worse than the white room, but certainly more locationally convenient. I find it necessary to access this student's memories in order to at least find his name as we can't access his records without it. Once we have access to his records we can determine if it is necessary to retrieve the other piece of information as well. If he has always had these powers it is possible that he simply has some fiendish blood in his background that resonated with the effects on Mr. Denulia. How long do I have?"

Image

Aananda checked the time. "About an hour and forty-five minutes before sundown. Should be plenty of time."

"Very well."

Miss Jones returned her concentration fully to Shaypeer's mind, beginning the search through his memories for his name, at present ignoring all other information.

Mel waits patently for Nala.

eventually she arrives a little longer than she said but Mel didn't mind.

Nala, I mean Mrs Zamarosok, I wanted to ask you some things. She pauses a bit looking for the right words to say.

What happened to me? I remember the shuttle, then a searing pain, next thing I know I am here? Everything else is a blank. I'm confused. I don't feel like I need to be here except for the pains in my chest, probably from the burns I had. But why are they not healed already? I mean, I know all about the nanites and stuff, what is going on?

Mel seems to barrage her with questions, not even realizeing she is doing it. A quirk she has, when she gets agitated about not knowing something.
