The Avalon Chronicles

Game Master lynora

This is a high level rules light game set in a school for magical kids, kinda a mash-up of Soul Eater, Harry Potter, and X-Men. :)

Skips along with the baby manticore, heading off to some sleepy little town of maybe, 30 or 40 souls. Agricultural village, really-- no fighters to speak of.

Walking into the outskirts, he motions and says, "Go! Spikes first, then eat their brains!"

With that, Damiani the mummy gestures and touches the baby Manticore, giving it bane filled powers of strength and protection, only magical attacks or such would hurt it now!

:cackles with glee:

Grushdeva du kalt misht

Visiting warrior charges out waving a glowing magic sword... And promptly trips and impaled himself

:picks up the sword and pockets it:

Pounces the villagers while playfully noming on the heads. "Merrrooooow!!!" Can be heard above the screams of terror.

A great glowing angel descends from above.
It smites the mummy into a pile of crisp dust dispersed in the breeze.
It raises the hero and sets him on his way.
It heals and raises the broken villagers and rebuilds their houses.
It picks up the small Beastie and reverts it into a harmless, wingless, one headed kitty.
With its work done it flies off into the sunset with a kitten in its arms.

Where they promptly burn up because ow sun

"HEy!"

:rises up, points to the wall with the sign:

Sign reads: "No affecting other PCs without consent."

"You broke the rules, winged freak! Gimmie my pet back."

Cutie manticore reverts, is near Mummy.

"Now play right or beat it."

Can 6th period be over yet?

Male Human Gestalt: Binder 16, Wizard (Enchanter) 6

No idea, I got Treisdan out of a scene do I could put it on hold till Lyn okays it..

And actually... Just remembered something.... Treisdan is going to have to abort the plan.... He already has plans for the next day... Those bindings would be...annoying....

male Aasimar Muse-touched Image gestalt waterbender 11/Disciple of the Healing Waters 5/ Bard (street performer/song healer) 16

If it's not then i need to hold off on my last two posts. Oh well.

Male sorcerer 16 wilder (leader/telepath) 3 elocater 2, thrallherd 1, pyrokineticist 10.

I already have a plan for awakening his bloodline, just need to zip on down to my ship get a potion (saguine elixer) out of storage, add some of my blood and have him drink if
.
On that note an alternative to the fleshwarping potion lowering my bloodline: cross blooded, it's an archetype, work much better

Ok... Well... Now what?

Lyn is making the table now.

And this shouldn't really be a benefit, more a train + brick wall event for Dave.

It should be at least partially a benifit, probably somewhere around a net gain, he's working for it, the teplate is a net gain (depending on the ability selected) drifters are gains (as far as mechanics go anyway)

He has a couple scrolls in his room so he will use one of those

Less pausing-- more posting. :D

Role play wise.

It's always part benefit., yes. But not always outdoing the benefit. Don't forget Dave, this is a first time new flesh warping technique... It's unstable.

Besides half the fun in this kind of roleplaying is fixing the mistakes that happen to each other.

But mummy.... Mommy didn't like too much weekend posting... I'm more likely to listen to her than a desiccated bag of linin

You said you were going to blow off the attempt--

Me and Marcell are 'frozen' while you are going on about your affairs?

Come on.. Does Tresidan actually just .. quit? Or does he at least come by and says, "I'm not going to do this tonight, because ... blah and blah?"

:adds facepalm for emphasis:

He isn't blowing off the attempt, he is getting some scrolls... I needed to rethink how I could do this, because I can't bind... (plans tomorrow require different vestiges) he well arrive in a half hour.... And until tomorrow...we are paused

So, as a player, you're locking potentially two other players from play?

That's inconsiderate.

Disapprove.

I'll just walk off, thanks.

Male sorcerer 16 wilder (leader/telepath) 3 elocater 2, thrallherd 1, pyrokineticist 10.

fair enough but dave is a perfectionist, if it doesn't work right it will be undone and reattempted, its why he doesn't usually like going to other people for help because they might not agree to retry, with this he has no choice as he is not yet good enough at it to do so himself and will likely never be as good as you are at it,

also I just noticed that autocorect changed drider into drifter

Male Human Gestalt: Binder 16, Wizard (Enchanter) 6

..............um.... In game 30 mins

Out of game until tomorrow because I want Lyn's approval and I have to sleep....

If you want to keep going or do something else be My guest.... I'm trying to help in game and I'm sorry I don't feel comfortable staring this when I'm barely awake and the game master isn't online.

Male Human Gestalt: Binder 16, Wizard (Enchanter) 6

And you can't tell me Treisdan is late because the time in game hadn't passed yet! He shows up at the designated time.

My guy leaves early. I typed it as such-- he has no clock.

See? Adaptive and open to do more things, rather than locked down and stopped.

Works for everyone, no?

Plus, that allows Dom or anyone else not sleeping, to potentially walk by and interact.

Keeps things flowing. :D

:: sighs::

Whatever works for you... Though what exactly you at going to do between 11:00 And Lyn posting am okay... I'm not sure....

Have fun

There are other players still, I suppose?

Maybe? Either way-- I will be waiting, whether or not at the workshop. :)

PS: I'm also out most of the morning tomorrow, until 3 or 4pm Pacific.

So it's to help get OUT of the scene for others as well.

Male Half-Elf Gestalt: Cleric 6, Holy Vendicator 10, Paladin 16

Hmmmm...... Full plate is like knight's armor right? Helmet, chest, arms legs and feet all covered right?

Human being Game Master and all round good egg

Yep BUT you have tech, so think Storm Trooper

in the star wars rpg storm troopers wear powered armor and it requires a special proficiency

Human being Game Master and all round good egg

Really, narr its just plate/platic

Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16

I was mostly just wondering where this topic came from. I understood your first question and then Spugs kinda threw me off with the tech thing.

Male Half-Elf Gestalt: Cleric 6, Holy Vendicator 10, Paladin 16

I was getting ready to make a description for my character and wanted to confirm that full plate had everything

Human being Game Master and all round good egg

Space plate

Male Half-Elf Gestalt: Cleric 6, Holy Vendicator 10, Paladin 16

Only near Avalon, in the rest of Agartha...low tech.

Male Icy Catfolk Image Warlock/Rogue 16

I usually leave the helm separate. Gives less item slots taken up. I think it covers the body and limbs leaving head hands and feet available for more deft movements. Plus if a sword has a hand guard you don't need hand armour. :)
If its just flavor its really up to you though.

Actually there is a rule for this, you can remove the helm and it does not lower your AC excpt for called shots to the neck and head.

Hand guard doesn't prevent someone from putting an arrow through your wrist :) and I think the helm is a nice touch... So I'll stick with that but thanks for the input
