Yeah, but then, by the time I finish editing, there's been three posts behind me, and one of them may already address what I just did, not to mention someone's already posting to respond, as well, and then it all just goes down the drain. It's a vicious cycle.

Half Undead nymph, but also Half Living, she still technically has a pulse, and appears much more alive than most half undead. i guess i could give you a chance to listen for a heartbeat as proof.

The posting rate can get a little crazy at times. In general after a bit folks tend to break off into slightly smaller groups. It's a lot easier to manage during a conversation between two or three people. But sometimes there are interactions that involve a larger group of people. And that's cool too. And the posting rate is almost always amped up a bit when there's lots of new people. Should slow down from crazy fast to just fast as we go.

On a completely unrelated note, I think that Kris is gonna be itchin' for a fight after he gets over his little tizzy. Preferably with a few skeletons, or some zombies, or maybe an undead moose that has no compassion for the trees on which the construction workers cut down for all the human habitation.

Alright, folks, ,time for me to get some sleep in the hopes that I will feel better in the morning. I won't be on until tomorrow afternoon as I have a morning class FYI. Especially Lang Fei don't feel like you're trapped not being able to interact. Just assume Chara trails after you to get some food and sit wherever you pick.

So, in these training rooms, now that I think of them, is there a way to depict various undead for Krisilanni to fight? That would certainly relieve his stress and make him less moody in a jiffy. Crackin' some exposed bones and slicing some mort flesh into little pieces.

Just as the school itself can be reconfigured, so too can the various training rooms. Think of the 'Danger Room' from the X-Men's mansion and you have a pretty good idea of what they can do.

he dabbles and most of is to combat undead, his long term goal is to kill the litch that killed and soul jar-ed his mentor, he will take almost any path to get there, that includes using some of the spells of the enemy, he has lines that are not to be crossed but they are not as solid as they once were and he no longer knows where they are

Lines crossing? Wait people actually have boundaries? Huh...I always thought everyone was like me....if it threatens you kill it and let the gods sort out the rest. No really ask my father....I killed him for threatening my wife. Err well I guess you can't ask him....he only talks in my head now....though Krays saw it.

oh yeah but the litch, so far as David can tell, is much stronger than him, it threw out energy drain out like candy and defeated his master (roughly lvl 19-23 arch-mage) and his girlfriend/wife (roughly 18-20 Druid) at the same time, and has a small army of goblins and zombies, it's not the lines in the fight, he will use anything in that fight, it's what he will do to get the power, who he will trick to help him, the lines are for what he will do to the people who aren't directly in his way
that's what scares him, he has to tell himself 'these are potential friends, not potential tools, potential pawns'
his mom was half celestial he has (or had) a strong moral compas, he worries that he misplaced it.

I think that the only thing that Krisilanni is good for is bashing on a bunch of undead. Well, I guess he can also heal allies, though the cure spells are really just to cut the undead down. I think he can also intimidate people rather well, too, so he can make people feel like they don't have a choice but to comply.

what are a decent pair of versatile performance skills for Perform (Puppetry)? i was thinking sleight of hand would be one of them, but what should the other be? disable device? both use manual dexterity and fit.

They sumed it up the damage aspect. But no when he was played while the rest of the group was out getting drunk he would be the one infuriating where ever they where going to assault and taking notes on there guards layout an movement schedules. Oh he would be the guy that that figures out what the villian is planning in the ancient ruins before entering along with finding a map to the area of the ceremony.

Yep I would say'advanced PE' abriviated as ADE I think not ADV David, I think thats Rosa time down the Xmen like sim room.

Yes Rosa will set up access rights for any students that has special needs, like kicking undead butt to work of stress, you have a lot of control over your sims

David, thats right and any combination of sim magic you like, more than one group can be in there at any time, and ALL teachers have access so they can take students that wish to fight each other there with out risking life and lim of other students. Its kind of a do all sports hall so that other students can look on, they can be blocked from aiding if you wish. Its really down to you. Think of the nex-gen holo deck Xman training room. I mans you can have off world locations with out he need to go. 1: Students can Teleport into the landing area of the training room from there they can go in, 2: The Sim room has a AI Mind now over seeing it, no need to get to the control room, just ask it to make any Sim you like and it will if you have clearance. 3: Its safe, even if you die you get Teleported to the medical wing by default. 4: ALL teachers have access rights at all times. they can Teleport right into your Sim. 5: More than one sim can be run and once. well That should make for good game play I hope. Respecting Lynora's wishes, whom I <3 with all the feels for running this game, I will take this over here instead:

First of all, how did you get +12 Racial bonus? Peri Blooded only adds +2 Knowledge(Planes) and Spellcraft, and the Diamond Template does not grant a bonus to any skill, unless you are using a different template than the one found on d20PFSRD. Secondly, your Psicrystal is in my Belt of Many Pockets, so I am not sure it would grant you the Alertness feat, as the belt is a series of mini bags of holding. It would probably still grant you the +3 though, if its applicable to the 1 mile radius.

3) This is NOT an illusion. I don't know why you keep thinking it is. Mundane disguise=not magic. Makeup and skin dyes to change the complexion of my skin(which would only need to be the visible parts anyways), a high quality wig if necessary, so on and so forth. Aka, what could be accomplished via a Disguise Kit, cept like a more badass one. After all, Belt of Many Pockets.

Taking 20:

Taking 20: When you have plenty of time, you are faced with no threats or distractions, and the skill being attempted carries no penalties for failure, you can take 20. In other words, if you a d20 roll enough times, eventually you will get a 20. Instead of rolling 1d20 for the skill check, just calculate your result as if you had rolled a 20.

Taking 20 means you are trying until you get it right, and it assumes that you fail many times before succeeding. Taking 20 takes 20 times as long as making a single check would take (usually 2 minutes for a skill that takes 1 round or less to perform).

Since taking 20 assumes that your character will fail many times before succeeding, your character would automatically incur any penalties for failure before he or she could complete the task (hence why it is generally not allowed with skills that carry such penalties). Common “take 20” skills include Disable Device (when used to open locks), Escape Artist, and Perception (when attempting to find traps).

Note, Perception(When attempting to find traps). Not any other use. Also, I am almost 100% sure you can not take 20 on any opposed skill check, period.

Finally, silly me. I forgot to include the +3 to Disguise because its a class skill. So my base Disguise should be +33, then add in everything else for a +62, making my final check a 71

Where are you getting a bonus from Aid Another? Psicrystal? Not sure it can do that. If it can, please show me where in the rules it says that

Just throwin' out there that I had Kris touch the wall while thinking about a place to throw down with some undead without expecting arrows because A) he didn't sit through the entire thing with the headmaster so he doesn't know about the arrows and B) he has no idea where any combat simulations or the like are, so if anyone in charge can help him out in a lore-friendly way, that would be awesome and gives him something to do. >w>

Thanks, Ace. I appreciate it. It makes things a lot easier to follow if we keep the rules discussions/disagreements over here where they don't clog up gameplay.

The first thing I'll address is that Dave's psicrystal is more of a cohort than a standard crystal. that was approved by me and that's where it's getting extra abilities.

Now, normally skill checks are a pretty small part of the game in general. Really situations like this are the only times they matter. So if you could both break things down simply for your skill checks? Thanks, I know it's already been done by both, but it's a lot of text to wade through.

And Ace has clarified multiple times that his disguise is nonmagical. However, Ace, you hadn't clarified that the pocket the psicrystal was in was extradimensional, so it was pretty natural for Dave to assume the alertness bonus.
