Exactly @ Bloodless. Once Teo gets behind the Protection from Evil, she can begin trying her Healing hex.

TarkXT |

Was hoping for some indivudal posts so I cna work it out more easily. But whatev's.
Bejis will get handed the oil from bingo as he five foot shifts back and casts his spell. Bloodless and doggy will five foot shift to the side to muck things up a bit for the shadows. Bejis applies the oil.
Whose getting the protection from evil from bingo?
Still need actions from Teo and Aerieth.

Teo Brissett |

Teo will chug her hide from undead potion, giving her time to decide an her next course of action after seeing how the others were faring.

TarkXT |

Teo drinks her potion and for a moment the shadow wavers in confusion unable to find its prey. Floating over to a new victim Aerieth suddenly finds herself attracting the unwanted attentions fo two shadows! The combined assault is enough to overwhelm her defenses and she feels her already frail frame beginning to fail. 6 Str damage.
The other two are slightly luckier as the fates allow them a bit of respite from draining death.
Group is up!

Aerieth Deventis |

Well, I am now at 3 strength and despite my lack of armor, am still more than heavily encumbered due to 30 pounds or so in my pack. I do not know whether I can drop my pack as a free action or not. If not, I do not know my speed or how dexterity bonuses will affect me.
I need some insight on what the modifiers are to my movement and acrobatics for being overweight if I cannot drop the pack as a free action.
My goal is to either use a withdraw action or acrobatics to escape from the two shadows. If I get hit again, then you all will have another shadow to fight, so any input would be helpful.
Another option is to drop the pack as a move action and then use acrobatics to escape. I just do not know which of these is possible in the current situation.

Bingomite Ralorphus Tealeaf |

Your in the same boat as me Aerieth. I'm planning to withdraw. If you get dropped to 0 str, your paralized.
At the very last moment, Bingo who suddenly feels very weak manages to cast a spell of protection onto Bejis. Knowing that he has done everything he could, the diminutive gnome, withdraws into the safety of the library corridor.
FA: Withdraw

Teo Brissett |

As far as I can tell, running is our best option. My healing hex on each one of them isn't enough to drop them, and when I become visible, I'm toast. I think headin' out of dodge, and finding some undead killing items, is the only thing we can do.
As the halfling turns invisible to the monsters, she turns and heads as fast as she can, back toward the entrance to this hellish level.

Bejis Krupt |

Bejis will 5 foot step to flank with Bloodless, and attack with all his might behind the now enchanted sword. Rage, PA. Can someone roll for me? Limited to my phone for posting. Bejis has some STR damage. And someone should make Tark's proposed Knowldge roll. Aerith should probably retreat, then do whatever she can from safety. I assume Knockback won't work with incorporeal.

Bloodless |

Will do, in line with the strategy outlined above.
Bloodless shifts into position, attempting to distract the creature whilst not getting hit
Fight Defensively: +3AC -4Atk
Attack (aid another) 1d20 + 8 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 8 - 4 = 6 vs DC10 (FAIL!)
Opening the way for Bejis to come thundering through...
Attack 1d20 + 9 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 9 + 1 + 2 = 30
Damage 2d6 + 13 + 1 ⇒ (6, 1) + 13 + 1 = 21

TarkXT |

The shadow hisses as bejis places a solid blow into its non existent flesh but the massive scar of nothingness in its core does not hinder its abilities much as it attempts to drain more of the angry barbarian's life energy.
Bloodless is not so lucky as his misstep in trying to aid bejis costs him more of his strength 2 str damage.
Aerieth's pursuers come for her and the wiry elf barely manages to dodge the attentions of one shadow as the other disappears into the walls.
GROUP IS UP!

Bloodless |

Bloodless wears the strike, but maintains his routine, attempting to help Bejis land more blows by creating openings.
Fight Defensively: +3AC -4Atk
Attack (aid another - Bejis) 1d20 + 7 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 7 - 4 + 2 = 25 vs DC10
Aerith, wanna start throwing water bombs?

Bingomite Ralorphus Tealeaf |

Arms and legs shaking in fatigue from his sudden weakness, Bingomite pants in exhaustion. Retreating down the corridor Bingo looks over his shoulder to where Bloodless and Bejis contine to fight onward. Gritting his teeth, the optimistic gnome mutters that there must be some way that he can help. Reaching into his bag he withdraws his remaining potion of hide from undead. Popping off the cork the gnome quaffs it one in long gulp.
MA: Retrieve Potion of Hide from Undead.
SA: Drink Potion of Hide from Undead.
Ok with the hide from undead going, I should be able to cast bless, protection from evil and some cure spells without breaking the spell since it states: “If a warded creature attempts to channel positive energy, turn or command undead, touches an undead creature, or attacks any creature (even with a spell), the spell ends for all recipients.” So I should be safe… ish

Aerieth Deventis |

Aerieth calls out: I need help!!!
Arieth continues to attempt to evade the shadow.
Withdraw action.
Acrobatics to avoid AoO: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
Move to J61.
You all do realize that I have 3 strength. One more hit and I probably cannot move any more and am likely dead.

Teo Brissett |

Would it be possible to put a potion into Awrith's hand without breaking my invisibility?

Teo Brissett |

I've got a few potions of lesser restoration, that might prolong things, if I could get them to you.

Bejis Krupt |

Bejis has 2 Str Damage, which means Bejis did 1 less damage last round.
Bejis yells out to Aerieth, "I'm working as fast as I can!"
It looks to me that Bejis is the only one in a position to deal damage.
MW Greatsword Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 8 + 2 + 2 = 22 (+2 Flank, +2 Aided)
MW Greatsword Damage: 2d6 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (2, 6) + 12 + 1 = 21 (+1 Magic)
Assuming the Shadow is dead, Bejis will loop around to I57, to setup the next flank.
Current STR w/ Rage: 18 (+4)
Greatsword damage: +6 (1.5*4) Str, +6 PA = 2d6+12

Bejis Krupt |

Bejis slices his foe which with a silent scream dissipates into nothing. Sadly Bejis will need to find a different place to move since his chosen square is empty space.
Aerith makes her move and the various actions have all succeeded just waiting on bejis before map update.
Imageshack isn't loading. Bejis will move to wherever he can set up a flank without an AoO.

Bloodless |

Bloodless maintains his attempts to set up a flank and assist Bejis, all the while trying to dodge and evade the touch of Evil...
Fight Defensively: +3AC -4Atk
Attack (aid another - Bejis) 1d20 + 7 - 4 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 7 - 4 + 2 = 15 vs DC10
The +2 assumes flanking

Bejis Krupt |

Oh, that is going to be tricky. I'm thinking I62, and Bloodless goes to G59/G60ish, then the Shadow hopefully floats over to where we can flank it somewhere. However, Bloodless has already acted (and double posted?).

Bloodless |

Nah not a double post, Bloodless is just doign the exact same thing he did a minute ago; he can't actually hit them, so helping Bejis land the hits, and at the same time trying to give them more than one target (their only choice otherwise being you...!) - Effectively this is pretty much your combat, Bloodless is consigned to playing support so just posting up a little ahead so you can position yourself and Bloodless as needed

TarkXT |

Just moving along to get things moving faster. This combat has taken a long time and for that im sorry.
Aerieth takes 1 str damage. The shadows have moved. One appears from the wall taht was previously harassing another character to flank on bloodless with its brother and missing.
Bloodless has moved.
Group is up.

Bingomite Ralorphus Tealeaf |

Now that he was enshrouded from the hungry spirits Bingo waddled forward towards the ongoing combat. Clutching his butterfly pendant in his tiny stubby fingers the gnome called upon Desna’s aid blessing his new companions in their fight against the darkness.
MA: Move 20'
SA: Cast Bless
Since I moved 40’ back when I withdrew, by moving up 20’ I will still catch everyone in the bless spell. It will also not break my invisibility from undead.

Bejis Krupt |

Strength: 2
Aerieth once again attempts to withdraw from the combat.
Withdraw action through L62 and down to N57.
I'm not sure how fast they move, but it might be better to get behind Bejis. At least Bejis would get an AoO if it chases you down. (Small consolation that would be.)
Bejis steps to J62, flanking the Shadow against Bloodless.
MW Greatsword Attack: 1d20 + 8 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 8 + 2 + 1 = 24 (+2 Flank, +1 Bless)
MW Greatsword Damage: 2d6 + 12 + 1 ⇒ (1, 1) + 12 + 1 = 15 (+1 Magic)
Bless: First round; Magic Weapon: 3rd round; Prot. from Evil: 3rd round?
2 Str Damage. HP Full. Raging for 3 rounds, Rage/Day Remaining: 10/13
Current STR w/ Rage: 18 (+4)
Greatsword damage: +6 (1.5*4) Str, +6 PA = 2d6+12

Bingomite Ralorphus Tealeaf |

Hrm.. I may have to reconsider my level 5 feat. I don't really see Bingo as someone who would craft magical weapons.. magical leaflets sure but not weapons.. but anything to help out the group.

Bloodless |

I'm hoping there's a treasury at the end for us to rob :p Bloodless is still wearing an M/work chain shirt. Even renting out as a male escort doesn't pay the bills! I guess it was a bit hard that the one good opportunity to make some actual cash was given away by a player just before she left the group, that really helped.

Teo Brissett |

Has anyone taken any actual HP damage? I'll use my healing hex, if so. I don't want to break my Hide spell otherwise.

Bloodless |

I think there was some matter over the lair of the Tieflings we cleared out, and the presence of Abadarian clerics. There was a unilateral decision made to not exploit that situation. Either that, or we missed some loot hauls somewhere - but I reckon 2k worth of goods at L4 says we missed some opportunity for cash :p

Aerieth Deventis |

Most of that was before me as well. I will get to level 5 wizard, but not for another few levels. At that point I will probably take a Craft Feat before taking one more rogue level and than Arcane Trickster.
Of course if one more shadow slaps me, I am dead. I fled the way I did as it was the only way to go that did not create an AoO and with my current strength, any AoO is likely an AoDeath.
