Ok, sounds good!

So, ah, Bloodless, how that you seem better lets move along?

Male Orc Expert 5

Beyond the entrance are the other cells and a door in the southwest corner of the room.

Giving until tonight for others to post and do things before I shove things along.

Male Human Barbarian 5

I think Bejis took just 1 hit for 10 hp

1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

That would leave him at 2. Which wand does that go from?

Good to go!

Female Elf Rogue 2/Wizard(Air Elementalist) 3 (HP 33/33; AC 14(18 w/Mage Armor), FF 14, T 18)

Aerieth looks at the glaive and also seeks to determine whether it is magic.

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31

We should check the rest of the cells to make sure no innocents are imprisoned here, and also to eliminate any other evil that infests this place.

I apologize. I have no clue what our goal is at this point as it has been so long. If someone has the original posts which laid out our reason for taking part in the play and then invading the mansion, it would be appreciated. I cannot really add much until I remember what we are seeking to do.

Male Orc Expert 5

You are seeking the chelish crux (name might be wrong but you get the idea) a device that can allow you entry into the abandoned pathfinder lodge where you hope to find an artifact that may be connected in some way to the shadowbeasts that plague Westcrown at night.

The glaive is certainly magic. A +1 Keen Glaive in fact. But there's more. Something resides in the blade. It's difficult to tell what. But you get the feeling it resents your close observation and would very much like for you to leave it be.

Bejis:
As you hold the glaive out for Aerieth's scrutiny. IT gives a sense of discomfort like your holding a tense cat who patiently puts up with your handling but is prone to turn and rip off your face if you displease it in some meaningful manner. Tolerance is the feeling it has for you, but not obedience.

Male Human Barbarian 5

Bejis looks down at the glaive in his hand and carefully asks, "Dhargentu?"

Male Orc Expert 5

Bejis:
The weapon exudes insult at the name.

Male Human Barbarian 5

Bejis will carefully set the weapon down, propping it up on a nearby wall.

"I'm guessing whatever that is, it's evil. The question is, do we need more evil to fight the first evil. The Devil you know, and all that...

Who is Dhargentu? Knowledge Untrained: 1d20 ⇒ 6

Teo knowledge checks for Dhargentu.

Teo:
Dhargentu Vheed was the second lord mayor of Westcrown. A powerful sorcerer and sadist he had a number of infernal servants at his command and was rumored to be studying the limits of fear and pain before the House of Thrune forcibly removed him and replaced him with Aberian Arvanxi. Chances are the devil you just slew was a servant who displeased him. Your checks also indicates that he was preceded by Anvengen a priest of Asmodeus and ally to the House of Thrune during the civil war. A scholar more than a priest he spent much of his time studying the nature of the planes and is the actual creator of the Asmodean Knot. What happened to im is a mystery as one day he entered the knot and then simply never came out. If the second lord mayor ever found him he took the secret to his grave.

Teo tells the others about her knowledge of the situation. Please check the DM's spoiler.

"Id say we take the glaive with us. It could be useful and I can't tell, so it might not even be evil. Or that evil, " she laughs nervously.

Male Human Barbarian 5

"While it could be useful, it could be a hindrance if it turns on us. If we take it, we need to be careful."

Bingo glances at the red weapon and his hand momentarily reaches out to touch it. There is curiosity in the gnomes eyes. Its likely that this same curiosity will eventually get him killed, but for now, he still despite everything he has been through retains his child like wonder. So, we can take it with us? He asks as he trails behind Bloodless.

I agree, lets move along!

Male Human Barbarian 5

"I don't think we can effectively carry it in a backpack. I'd rather not touch it either."

Bejis will search the Devil's body. Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Provided nothing interesting is going to happen from that, Bejis is ready to move on.

Male Orc Expert 5

So who's dragging the new sharp pointy party member along?

Taking a look into the other cells gives little in terms of information or loot. All but two are empty save for a mummified corpse and a soiled mattress. The other two are the devil room and one room that's completely empty with the door slightly ajar. It seems until recently it was occupied.

Survival DC25:
It seems the door was opened from the outside. One indivudla was already inside and judging by the smell is frighteningly similar to the dead elf you found by the entrance.

Continuing on you descend some steps hearing the sound of rushing water.

The domed ceiling above this large chamber sags, with long mildewy strips of wood paneling hanging down from above like drooping branches. A large pool of churning muddy water fills much of the room, flowing down a trough further into the room between a pair of slippery stairs to gather in a smaller pool beyond. Dozens of bones lie scattered along the five-footwide ledge that surrounds the pool.

Secret rolling:

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

Perception 24:
There are forms awaiting you in the water.

Male Gnome Oracle (Heavens) 4 AC 20/12/18 (+2 in urban terrain) / HP 26/26 /F +4 R +3 W +5/Init. +1/Perc. +11 (+5 at night)

Trundling up slowly behind the group, Bingo kept his crossbow at the ready. This place was so strange with its moving shadows and half heard whispers. If the gnome had any sense at all he might be scared, instead he just found it... interesting. Trailing behind the others, Bingo stared at the large sagging chamber with its mildew strips. His eyes settle on the large pool of muddy water. Tentatively he tugged on Bloodless's sleeve and pointed carefully. Watch out! The gnome whispered. There’s something in the water.

As bloodless and bingomite point out the shadowy forms in the water they burst forth screeching for blood and flesh from the pool reaching out with terrible hunger. One ghoul in particular seems much bigger than the rest pshing the rest on from the rear.

They rapidly close the gap and attempt to tear the emat straight off Bejis's and Bloodless's bones. Armor saves you from taking much damage and only Bloodless takes any serious injury 5 damage plus two fort saves. Rapidly coming to your senses you launch a counterstrike....

I assume that is this round only?

Feeling Aerith's luck flow through him, Bejis eyes the big one with a small glimmer of glee in his eyes. With a low roar, he puts his first blow into the big ghoul.

Greatsword, PA: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 7 + 1 = 25 +1 Bless
Greatsword, PA: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 7 + 1 = 13 <- Fortune
2d6 + 10 ⇒ (5, 5) + 10 = 20

A second chance to crit seemed too good to waste on a small one

Male Orc Expert 5

Bejis easily rips the first victim apart as Bloodless freezes in place with a small horrified groan. The other ghouls look something akin to shocked when the largest of them go down with hardly any effort. Even the painful arrow in one ghouls side seems hardly noticeable to the straight up decapitated ghast.

Still they press forward and attempt to simply mob Bejis to death!Bejis eats 3 claws and 2 bites for 19 damage total. Please make 2 DC 13 fort saves versus disease and 3 DC 13 fort saves versus paralysis.

Note: Bloodless still has Scraps if the dog wants to attack. He is paralyzed for three rounds.

Bejis grunts as he makes his next attack, on Z16, to clear a way to set up a flank,

Greatsword PA: 1d20 + 7 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 7 + 1 = 9 Bless

only to scratch up the floor.

From behind the others, Bingo points to the ghoul that fights Bejis. The small insignificant gnome waves towards the curtain of steel that that waves in front of the beasts between the combined might of Bejis and Bloodless. Cower creatures! Fear for your death is had hand. Just as your leader fell so too will you die!

SA: Intimidate (demoralize on the ghoul that Bejis is fighting): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18

Male Orc Expert 5

The ghoul's ignore the tiny morsels of meat that represent the heavy casting portion of the group and continue to rip into Bejis good and fierce. Scrabbling at the large man it's obvious whom they deem a true threat to their continued existence. 6 damage and fort save if you would please.

Aerieth manages to cut into the ribs of the one next to her but without a proper flank she can do little but manage a neat scratch.

Bejis chops ones head clean off. It spends a second feeling to find its head now missing from its shoulders before it falls back into the fetid water. Bejis hops in to get a better place on the battlefield while Scraps ineffectivey tries to furiously copulate with one of the ghoul's legs.

Meanwhile Teo rises into the air and Bingo realizing the ineffectiveness of his tiny tirade decides to pull his mace and attempt something akin to combat. Furtively he attempts to prod and bruise the ghoul in the hopes that someoen more inclined to violence (and less sickened by the sight of blood) manages to kill it.

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3 Aid another for Aerieth's next attack.

And fails miserably as he holds it with two hands and shakes it meekly with his face turned away and his eyes closed tightly shut.

The ghouls, unafraid of the death that has already come for them, continue to try and bring down bejis the best way they know how. With claws and fury 8 more damage to bejis. two fort saves please.
