DOT!
Or just checking in on you Pat. :)
Hope all is well, and see you soon.
I'm busy in the final weekend of Addams Family the musical.
I need to figure out how to share a few pics. We're having fun and doing a good job if the opening weekend crowds were any indication. :)
Have a good weekend all! See you soon,
~Rags

Yeah I seem to remember that too.
Like I said, NO PRESSURE!
:)
Mostly just checking in, DOT-ing, and making sure all are ok.
I mean, my kids just started back to school, and the college starts back on Monday, so,... you know,... craziness continues apace.
:)
See you later, (OR sooner, whichever works) ;P

Hello all!
September looms, and with it, my desire to play. I am going to be bringing back my games.
Besides a strange month, I was floored by an unexpected surgery this August. Hernias suck, just to let you know.
I also visited my ancestral spawning grounds in the wilds of Nova Scotia, where I sat upon the beach, ate well and drank mightily.
But now, I am back! Refreshed, sewn up in more or less whole fashion, and ready to get back to the gaming. Stay tuned!!

Patrick Curtin |

I highly recommend it should you ever decide you need a beach holiday. Just go in August, otherwise you might get non-beach weather. They had snow until June!
Plus I know you are from Louisiana, I don't know if you have Acadian ancestry, but there's a lot of cultural Acadian stuff up there. Including Louisburg, a fully-restored French fortress/town that does the whole recreation thing with period meals and costumes. My ancestors fought in the battles over it back in the 18th century.

Ragadolf |

That sounds very cool.
I'm actually from Oklahoma originally, (And a couple of other states that didn't want me either) But my Wife is born N bred in Naw'lins. :)
She's not Acadian either, her grandparents both came over from Italy to get away from Mussolini. ;P
Still sounds very cool. I would enjoy that sort of thing. My wife probably would, my kids,... sadly, they either would love it or hate it. And it might just depend in what mood they woke up in that morning.
My daughter just had her 16th bday today, and I still can't figure her out. ;P

Cape Breton is beautiful, the trail is best to drive in the fall, but Nova Scotia in general usually has a very nice mild summer so as long as you're not visiting in the winter or early spring you won't see any snow. Last winter was the worst I can remember, and even then we didn't see any serious snow till January, and the worst of it didn't come till February.

One of my favorite characters from my Pathfinder Society run was a character named Fibula Bone, she was a blind oracle, who really played up the blindness despite the fact that technically she could see out to 60ft by the time I finished with her.
"Arrows! My one weakness!"
I never picked up the ability to share my curse but it was one I was considering.

Ragadolf |

Just checking in. :)
Yes the Oracles sound like they have some cool stuff.
But I must confess, My curiosity is peaked about the New Occult Adventures classes. I am waiting until they get the classes listed in the online resources so I can check them out. (You know, before I spend MORE money I don't have on another book) :)

Good news, you can check it out for free over at the PRD

Catching up, missed some fine points of the conversations,...
Hello all!

Yes, yes they do! That was my second (and hopefully LAST) surgery.
Still, I prefer a belly-button surgery to the original that caused it.(The original was to remove a tumor on my kidney) ;P
At least you got to have a great recuperation/vacation! Beats sitting on the couch! :)

Ragadolf |

It's pretty cool, would be even worse if I had the blindness curse, but yeah Oracles have some freaky goodness in there.
I haven't read much yet, but the Oracles have,... potential,... :)
Fortunately for us the Deafness curse is perfect to use against a caster! Gives an automatic 20% (?I think?) chance of spell failure. :)

Hi everyone
Just an update: my house is going through the sale process right now.
Bad news: along with that and the job most of my free time is spoken for
Good news: Once it is finished, a large time eating segment of my life will be over
Please bear with and I will be posting as I can. Thanks

Ragadolf |

Hey where's theres a will theres a way.
My home- duo PACG has been on hold for a month now. We both too busy to get together for a game. But we not giving up. Our first run at the first adventure deck ended in Villain making fools of us.
Ripnugget and Stickfoot must pay!
Erm, I mean, No worries. I'm just glad your ok. :)
RL MUST PAY!
:D

It's hard sometimes. 2015 has been a year of challenges. In fact I really haven't had an 'easy' year in quite some time. I do want to salvage this game. It is my homebrew and you guys are on the cusp of exploring a very interesting piece of it I have only sketched out in very minor detail. I'm excited to have you venture out into the Blackwraith Desert.

Ragadolf |

Pat you do have a talent for understatement. :P
"Challenges" indeed. ;)
Ooo, sounds interesting. A chance to explore something even the DM doesn't have all the details too yet? Now THAT's exploring! :)
LOL! If we're heading towards a desert, I'll have to start stocking up on witty quips and complaints about a certain characters poor abused skin!
:D

Ragadolf |

Hmmm,...
'Interesting' being the word we are using in place of;
'This week sucked. But not badly enough to actually CALL it sucky, but badly enough that it cannot in good conscience be called good.'
THAT kind of 'Interesting' ? :)
OR, 'Interesting' in the definition of;
'This week was SO bad and filled with so many stupid persons that if I actually dwelled on the stupidity that I had to deal with this week, my head would implode, causing a tiny black hole to form and suck all of the stupid persons I had to deal with through a sphincter-sized wormhole to the other side of the universe, where they can then inflict their ignorance upon another poor, unsuspecting alien species. Far removed from me.'
(Or maybe that's just wishful thinking on my part. I deal with a lot of people who keep telling me, with the best of intentions, how to do my job, when they don't have a clue what I even do.) ;P
Hang in there Pat. :)
And Merry Christmas, in advance! I know a few persons, including you, who definitely deserve it! :)

Patrick Curtin |

Lol. More the second definition sadly.
Merry Christmas Rags. Despite the bad year I am still above ground, still relatively healthy (knock on wood golem) and I have somewhere to live. Everything else is window dressing.
Sadly, I still didn't sit down like I wanted to get things going. Something always seems to intrude. Once I am done with my evening chores I will attempt again. Monkey out

Patrick Curtin |

Heh. Non salary does have its benefits. I have been getting called in pretty damn regularly though. It plays hell with my free time. I need a good four hour stretch to reconstruct the NPCs you guys were battling. It's annoying.
Anyway, just a heads up that I will be basically stymied until Tuesday with work. The holidays is always a big production. I am keeping my reconstruction in mind though so stay tuned
