Yeah it gets hard sometimes with visualization, why I usually try to supply maps. It helps with spacial issues, like Tobias getting bit. I just got lazy this last time, that and not a lot of spare time to get the map situated. Been working on a huge project for one of my other PbPs map-wise. Freakin' multi-map nightmare ...

I've been thinking about running my first PbP, but some of the things like mapping still puzzle me. I'd thought about setting up a battlemap in my spare room with the terrain drawn, and using miniatures, then taking a digital picture every round and posting, but not sure how that would work with this messageboard.

Leaving for college in two days, probably won't be able to post that much for the rest of the week, I wish I had the common sense to just copy-paste this message.
Best of luck Davi! Remember, get in line early if you need to add classes! (Man I hated those frikkin' lines ...)

Hey y'all.
Work has been kicking my arse lately, and is expected to keep doing so for at least several more weeks. This is my favorite of the games I am playing in right now, and I have had a blast, but I have to drop out for a bit. If someone else wants to run Iz, that's cool with me, otherwise, he can take a hiatus, and maybe when things settle down in real life for me, he can rejoin the gang.
Thanks everyone for some wonderful memories, and I will be watching youre progress sporadically.
Wonderful storytelling Pat. Truly.

Thanks Nathan for the props! :) I think I can run Iz as an NPC for a few. He isn't a spellslinger, so I don't have to get mixed up in that. I was planning on getting you guys up and out this weekend, but the slow pace of PbPs means it will take a while for the new plot arc to develop. Give a shout when life calms down for you :)

My life has stabilized slightly, and I figured I could probably keep up with one game at least, and I picked this one. So, Izkrael is back (not that he really went anywhere, just me, though I didn't really go anywhere either, just was short on time... continues to mutter and ramble incoherent meandering mumbles...blah)

Hey all, just throwing this shout out to the folks I game with. My Gamma World game Appalachee Jihad has been stuttering for a while. I am looking for some fresh mutants to torture. Gaming engine is D20 Modern/Future with elements of D20 Apocalypse and the D20 Gamma World tossed in. If you have any interest, post up in the discussion thread: >here<

Shiny/Vilya: Just wanted to let you know I picked up the PDF of Pact Magic recently if you wanted to expand Vilya's binding stuff any. Don't know if you have it, but if you have any ideas I can scan the stuff for anything that matches.
I'm actually sending in a contest entry to Atomic Array pretty soon, so I might be getting the books myself.

Yeah I was actually entertaining this idea as well. I haven't entered one in a while (even though there have been afew I've wanted to). This has been the first thing in a bit though that has me interested (interested being that I can actually use the material, rather than it being source material for a game I don't own and have no money to buy...)

Hey Shiney! Don't mean to call you out or anything, but we're always waiting on Vilya before moving forward. I love the interplay between Egan and Vilya, and their different takes on doing the same thing, but can you either step it up a bit, or give GM some liberty to move forward when waiting? The rest of having to sit around for days at a time and wait gets frustrating, and is usually what will kill a game faster than anything. Again not trying to be confrontational, but everyone else is moving at one pace and Vilya at another...;-).

I'll take comtrol of Vilya. I should have done it earlier. I do think we are going to have to get a few folks out of the group, and perhaps get a few more. Shiny has a lot on his plate ATM, and I don't think he is having a good holiday season.

Rulez:
Spoiler:
Detect Evil (Sp): At will, a paladin can use detect evil, as the spell. A paladin can, as a move action, concentrate on a single item or individual within 60 feet and determine if it is evil, learning the strength of its aura as if having studied it for 3 rounds. While focusing on one individual or object, the paladin does not detect evil in any other object or individual within range."
(Bold emphasis mine)
I could be wrong, but I was reading this as a paladin can detect evil one of two ways: either as the spell (studying an area for several rounds to pinpoint the locations and strengths of the evils within the area), or, by studying a singl item or individual for a move action for an instant identification.
Your game, your ruling. I hold no grudges. I am really more curious if I am misinterpeting the rules in my games at home (though it has been a while since I had a game at home).

And while we're at it... Patrick, here's a little something for you too. ;)

I will get that map figgered out today folks. Sorry but all sortsa shenanigans are happening in my four(!) PbPs right now.

If he keeps it up, San may just try and help Ten over his fears ... maybe a few small jungle spiders in his sleeping bag! ;-)
Are you mad, man? We do that and he's going to murder us all. Our only hope would be to enchant him and run away while he's still laughing.
EDIT: On an unrelated note, I hope we get a few cultists to spice up our little necromantic-themed zoological expedition. Possibly angry natives. I don't really care, as long as they have an actual mind to affect and a body to cause crippling spasms of laughter in.

I'm sure I can toss an occasional unrepentant degenerate Xoltec tribe into the mix ... hmm ... the jungle has eyes ... hmmm ... Graul clan with serial numbers filed off ... hmmm
Scampers off to ponder

What is it with players giving the GM better ideas on how to kill their Characters? I thought we left all of that behind in Z-DAy! ;)
