I plan on keeping Izkrael as my PC, but I was thinking of giving him the Oathbound Paladin archetype (Oath against Undeath) from Ultimate Magic and maybe Skirmisher Ranger archetype from the APG, though I haven't decided if I want to give up his spells or not yet.
What level are we rebooting to?

Forgot to say ... I am really stoked that you're starting this one up again, Pat! I loved this PbP.
I want to keep San as my character, but I was considering remaking him as either a ranger/magus or ranger/inquisitor. Do you have any issues with me doing that?
Nah go wild :)

I actually think that Joleesa is pretty good as she is. I did a retool of her a little bit before the game went on hiatus and I had a flip through the new books last night and nothing jumped out at me as stuff to help her. Plus, her Feat choices are already set since I need them for a Prestige Class, so I'm good to go. :)

I'm looking at re-tooling San as a Ranger/Magus, since I was going eldritch knight anyway. I really like the magus, and kind of fits my vision a little better.
Sorry to keep asking questions, but can I change up my gear a bit? For instance, Ghostfetter is currently a greatsword, which I wouldn't really be able to use as a magus. Can I make it a different kind of sword?

Sure. We're rebooting, so just refit San as needed.

Izkrael |

I think i'm done with Iz. I had a +1 Impaling Longsword in Izkrael's equipment, but couldn't figure out what it did (I only have my pathfinder books with me where I'm working), and just ditched it. Since we are rebooting, I was wondering if I could just throw the +1 on my curve blade, and drop the mysterious Impaling ability.

OK. I am assuming that everyone else is basically either MIA or uninterested. I am going to open up the game to some folks and see if we get any nibbles.
Hi I would be interested in joining but I'm just wondering if there are limits to what is or isn't allowed race or class wise

Hi Kevin. There is room, so if you want I'd be pleased to have you. This is my homebrew, so it isn't as open as Planescape. That being said, most of the 'core' races can be found ingame, plus a few of my own:
SSliss'Pok: Nature-based lizardmen. Descendants of an ancient empire, they have eschewed cities and now wander the jungles as nomadic tribes. They are speacialists in alchemy and druid-type magic.
Hyrkmirians: Half dwarf/Half Fire giants (basically 6' tall fire giants). They are master smiths and clockwork engineers.

How about Halfling or Gnome? Also are any classes disallowed?

Sanvoros Draben |

Pat, I've updated San to a Ranger 1 / Magus 4. Below are a summary of the main changes I made.
Changes
*HP updated to 57. I believe we were using Max, correct?
*I re-did his spellbook, as not all of his spells were on the magus list. He had previously purchased 4 1st and 2 2nd level spells; as a 4th level maguc he is entitled to 10 1st level and 2 2nd level spells. I kept the extra 2nd level spells, but do not want the extra 1st level ones, so I "credited" him 100gp (+100gp
*I "cashed in" his wand of mage armor (+750gp)
*San had found several spell scrolls that he was holding onto to scribe into his spellbook later. Some are no longer on his spell list, so I "sold" them - protection from energy and summon monster III (+375gp)
*I scribed one spell into his book - darkness (cost 40gp)
*I gave him a mithral chain shirt (cost 1100gp)
*I added +1 str to his composite bow (cost 100gp)
so starting 209gp+100+750+375=1434; -1100-100-40=194

There is actually a halfling community I have sketched out that lives among the Hadorzee (a race of gliding monkeyoids originally lifted from Stormwrack that I also use in this game). Think of halfling culture with a Carribean twist and you have it.
Gnomes. Hmm. Not much thought on them, but I would say sure if you want.

Okay couple more qustions
1 Is there any sort of feline/canine/ type race?
2 is there anything the current party is missing?

Current party composition (I believe) is:
Joleesa Swashbuckler 4 / Rogue 1
Sanvoros Magus 4 / Ranger 1
Egan Ranger 5
Izkrael Paladin 4 / Ranger 1
Ten Foot Cleric 5
So we've got a little bit of everything already.

no cat race
I just hopped on, pressed the {End} key to jump to the bottom, saw these three words, and was immensely baffled at first by the rest of the post once I read it. I firmly had my mind wrapped around the concept of a speed competition between felines, instead of a species of cat-folk. Funny how your mind (or at least my mind, lol) tries so hard to fit stuff into its preconceived slots.

LOL. That is pretty funny. I was typing on my iBorg, so I didn't expound on my thoughts (touchscreen=teh suxxors), but getting online this week has been tough (and this weekend don't look good either ;/)

Found the thread!
Hm, looks liek you have almost all of the basics covered, so I guess it doesn't matter what (Class) I choose to be?
I'll take a gander at my notebook, see if any ideas pop out. Otherwise,...
caster anyone? ;P
(lol, who was it that once told me on a PbP thread that I have made more Wiz characters than JK Rowling?!?) :D

Patrick Curtin |

Looking back, I put a 1,000 gp limit for initial purchases. Since there have been a few levels since then I can allow that to 2,000 for the newbs. Max HP (as usual) for all characters, and the Epic Fantasy 25 Point buy system.
RE: Reboot. I am assuming that the group made it back to Opal after a bit of adventuring and recouped after losing a few souls. Perhaps they decided to spend a few days at the Opal Explorer's Guild looking for few new faces.....

Okay I'd like a little help folding Kessel into your setting Patrick. Originally Kessel was built for an Age of Worms campaign and so the character was essentially returning home to the small town of Diamond Lake after a few years in the big city. Essentially Kessel was the story of a kid finding out that you can't exactly go home again. One fun thing about that AoW campaign was that we had most of our characters knowing each other from childhood but if we have another bard in the party Kessel and the other PC might be old collage acquaintances.
Later, after that first game suddenly collapsed (Kayos was our DM), Kessel moved across the world to play in another PbP for the Crimson Crown. Both these games were set in the Forgotten Realms (which I'm not a huge fan of) and what I'd like from you is to make sure Kessel fits into your world. Basically I need some small hick town somewhere with a strong druidic clan nearby. I need a city and a prestigious bard school for Kessel to have studied at. And supposing that the city of Opal is not the same city Kessel went to school at (it would be easier if they were one and the same though) I'd then need a reason for Kessel to be in the city of Opal. Ideally The city Kessel studied at and the city of Opal are one and the same but if you don't want that to be the case I'm fine with that as well.
