Question to GM, my languages are probably a bit wack for your home brew world. What language would be the equivalent of Mandarin? Any other languages that are either widely spoken, or, previously very common but no longer spoken (IE: Things old writing tends to be in from a few thousand years ago). I've got 8 languages (including Common) to pick from, but only had 4 listed (and they are still Golarian specific).

Mandarin and Sengenese would be similar. Seng is my Asia counterpart.
Some homebrew languages you might like:
Xoltec: The ancient tongue of the Xoltec Empire. Handy to have a working knowledge of if you are traipsing around the jungle. Like Latin it is no longer spoken except in certain places as a ritual tongue, but like Latin it is the mother tongue of several modern languages.
Sliss'Pok: The lizardmen natives of Mazatil
Salt: The local patois of Dragoran that most Eastern Islanders talk.
Basically drifted far enough from Dragoran to qualify as its own language.
Dragoran: The 'common' tongue of the continent of Dragora. Many of the inhabitants of Mazatil and the Eastern Isles are refugees of the Bright Wars of three hundred years ago. They brought their tongue with them. Opal is a Dragoran-speaking city.
Zapateci: The tongue of the Zapatec Confederation. Derived from Xoltec, it is spoken by the city-states on the eastern shoreline of Mazatil.

Ok, then I'll go with Sengenese, Xoltec, Sliss'Pok, Salt, Dragoran, Zapateci, Celestial, and Infernal? I'm assuming being able to speak gods and demons languages can come in handy. :)

Still here, just nothing really to contribute at this time. I think Egan had planned on exploring the area around the fort... if he needs his canoe to do so... that is fine. He'll send Whisperwing ahead to scout, and would be willing to take any that wish to join him.
Quite frankly this game has had so many stop / start moments, I was kind of waiting to see if it was still progressing.

I'm about the only one posting...

Erick Bonestihl |

I'm ok to continue, if the posting ups. If not, I'll stick Erick aside for another game. :(

The problem I guess I'm dancing around is this:
Over the next two months or so my life is going to get rather hectic. I am moving to a new city, and I am starting a new job. The postings will get sporadic, but that doesn't mean I will give up if there is enthusiasm. But, if you folks aren't feeling it, and you'd rather me shut the game down that would be ok as well. I'd rather put the extra effort if there is interest, otherwise I'd rather concentrate elsewhere. As always, it is up to y'all.

The game is worth the wait I think. ;)
I love the setting, and NOT knowing everything about the setting is a nice change of pace. I get to discover it with my PC. :)
ALthough I DO understand that the start/stop can become frustrating. Heaven's knows I can drop off the radar for a day or 2 without warning in advance. (Sorry about that.) :/
For the record, I like the game, and would love to continue it. If we have to delay it and return to it after a bit to allow for RL, I'm fine with waiting. I'm also fine with a slower posting period for a bit, and ramping it back up when possible. Monkey certainly deserves a chance to get a new job up and running! :) (You worked hard enough for it!) :P
Whatever the group agrees with I am fine. I will do my best to keep up either way. I like the characters and the interaction. And Pat always seems to be able to surprise me JUST when I think I've got the monkey figured out! :)

Heads up time folks. Come Saturday I will be going on vacation to Canada. In the past my cell use has been restricted by the international exigencies. I will possibly post depending on WIFI access. I will be back on a regular posting schedule 8/15
Have a great week! -Patrick

So, my long-suffering players:
I was a bit over-optomistic about my engaement level when it came to these last few weeks on Cape Cod. Things got so bad I even forgot about the NecroNomicon in Providence this weekend (which I was looking forward too-just got overwhelmed with work and moving)
I am going to try and keep you all updated, BUT
I am travelling into in partibus infidelium soon. Very soon. Like a week.
I had no earthly idea how I could have so much crap.
I am packing solo, and still working a full compliment of days up until I leave.
Please please please pardon me. I beg your indulgence as I try and rip out of my cocoon and take flight. Honsetly I don't know if things will be settled out until October.
I will attempt to keep you posted, but I felt I should give you a heads up anyway.

FYI to all my games :
I live in Texas (Austin), and one of the options Harvey has is to wander up and over Austin and laze around and drop a couple of feet of water on us. So if I don't post this week it's because we lost power, internet, or both. Should be fine for anything else, we live on a hill so if we have water flooding our living room, the entire Mississippi river valley is under 80 ft of water from New Orleans to St. Louis. :) So we'd have a lot more problems than flooding at that point.

It's already down to 70mph. By the time it gets here, if it does, it'll be 20 to 30 mph.
It's stalled out by San Antonio, moving 1 to 2 miles per hour. Hit a high pressure system, so it's just going to sit there and rain on us all for a week, so we'll get a foot of rain over the week, and San Antonio and Houston will get 2 feet. Some places may get 3 or 4 feet of rain.

OI, I hope your ok MDT!
Some of the pics of Houston I have seen are noting short of ridiculous.
I mean post-Katrina levels of ridiculous. Stay Safe!
Oi, that reminds me, I have a friend who lives out there somewhere (I've forgotten exactly where, near Dallas or Houston I think) that was supposed to be on Skype this Sunday and I haven't seen him.
Time to see if he lost cell service again,.... O_o

Hope Egan is ok. I'm good in TX.
Nice to hear that GM.

OK. It's been too long since I touched base, and that's my fault, mea culpa.
This has been a rough two weeks. For those of you that have my FB, my pup got very sick. I almost lost him. Combined with the new job and new apartment and setting up an eBay store to sell my collection of books, it's been a rough time
However, I should have some time Monday. I want to keep these games going. I apologize for the delay, it's just been a rough time trying to get square here.
Look for some updates Monday!

On Canadian Thanksgiving no less

Lol. Ok. Hard dates aren't working, but I did make progress. I am working towards getting things back on track. I have my computer up and functioning, and that means I have access to my digital files. I won't say tonight, and jinx it, but certainly through to the weekend we should get the ball rolling.

It is with regret and sadness that I'm going to step away from these boards for a while. It's a combination of many things, and the frustration with the board performance just pushed me to do what needed doing. I've got some things that are taking a higher priority in life at the moment. It's been a real pleasure gaming with you all, and hopefully life will give an opportunity to share this hobby we all love in the future...
