            Hey Everyone.
Very sorry for the month's worth of silence. While work continues to be very busy (10-12 hour days), we've had some tragedy with extended family that has taken all of my attention. I've kept thinking every weekend, that this will be the week that I get some energy and enthusiasm to get back to the Paizo message boards and play some Pathfinder.
Honestly, I haven't felt like playing or writing much.
I have a vacation coming up over January 22-28. I'm hoping this will recharge the batteries.
I'll post when I'm back home and settled back into work and we'll see about restarting the campaign. Thank you for your patience.
Val

I doubt it'll affect the game much at this point, lol, but thanks for the notice.

            Hey everyone.
Life is back to a new normal. Work is still very busy, but I should be able to carve out a little time to have some RPG fun. I expect to be able to post 2-3 per week at a minimum.
So, if you are still interested in the campaign, please drop a post here to confirm, and I'll look to get a new post up in the gameplay thread this coming weekend.
Best,
Val

And somehow, Malthazir, I still remember quite a bit of what was going on. Here's your recap.
Recap: We're looking for a hag who was involved in the disappearance of Niyut and Truk'tosh's mother, and we got assistance in this from the Nightblood Clan (who's venerated ancestors are apparently vampires). Found the hag doing a ritual thing, which we--but mostly Niyut, so this all her fault ;p--disrupted to catastrophic effect (Garidan went blind as a part of the backlash, but he's kind-of, sort-of coping). The hag did a runner with mom's body, who may or may not be as dead as previously reported. We followed, found more hag minions, and brought the pain. But they brought some of their own, and we're fighting it out to see who brought the mostest.

            For our GM:
You probably have accounted for this but just in case you don't, Niyut has an action readied to interrupt the rogue when she breaks stealth.

Sorry to come back with more questions. I always feel like I'm grasping at straws trying to come back and wrap my head around what's going on in this combat.
Basically I just need a short list of things that are still active threats and what their current status is.

Currently? The rogue for sure. The only other thing is whatever is making weird stuff--like the arrow attacks at Truk and Garidan--pop up in the woods, which might be illusions of some sort.

Mal, I might have mentioned it last turn, but you definitely have not used your see invisibility today.
If you want more casts of that spell per day, might I suggest bonding with your eyepatch?

Yeah sorry. I have so much going on that my memory doesn't keep track of stuff that happened weeks ago.
GM I will cast see invisibility. Since that effects the rest of my actions I'd like to know what I see.

Valjoen, can we get an update on what's going on here? Are we on hiatus or what? Because this sputtering along--I figure we've had about three weeks worth of actual progress in the last 8 months or so--is pretty much strangling the campaign to death. And the Last Haven campaign is similarly suffering.
If you need to pause to get s%~! sorted in your life, okay. But at least tell us so.

            Hi everyone.
Still working 60-70 hour work weeks. So energy level to keep the games progressing has been difficult, to say the least.
My goal, at this point, is to make at least 1 weekend post and 1 weekday post, each week. I'll try my best to keep things moving better.

However, you should also be able to drag and drop a copy of the map on to your desktop as a jpg file from the Homepage of the wiki.

What's the scale of the map? From what we know about Estrapon history, Exter and the Vestige are considered close enough for trade and cultural transmission. From the Vestige it is a short looking boat ride to Pyns and Yomhai, and another short ride to the coast of Gliwyst. In the pre-Storm era, does that mean there was a robust global trade network?

| Valjoen_GM |

The Vestige isn't the most hospitable place and Syrst is an isolationist colony from Nynasis. So, using that as a pathway for trade wasn't the safest. It is possible to traverse the Alterian Ocean but that would be a long, rough voyage. Global trade was limited. In fact, many people of the eastern continent haven't even heard of the western continent.
Out of game comment - It was always used as a separate land with little connection between the two.

Faelynn would rate this as needs improvement. :-p
I notice that there aren't many large lakes. Have there not been many glaciers?
Did someone intentionally create the mountain range that once were the northern border of Ska'edhel>

True, regarding lakes. Never really thought about ice ages and glaciers.
Nope, the impact of two continental plates.

Slightly silly question the great river coming out of the Iron Spires looks a little different on the new map, no waterfalls down to the northern coastal areas, no pouring down to the sink hole in the middle of the highlands. Are those things still true and the map is just too far "up" to see those details?

Don't know who that's meant for, but on the assumption it's a general question, not bad. Could be better, of course, but the reverse is also true and so I'll take what I can get.

I'm giggling about the confluence of events that has lead us to this situation. Niyut knows, for example, that the hag is immune to mind-affecting effects because of her skill check. I don't believe she told Malthazir because she likes secrets and doesn't think he does much mental magic. Malthazir saw that Niyut's images were ineffective against the hag, but so fears the threat posed by her bite he falls back to instinctive strategies.
It's strangely comforting that despite all they have accomplished they are still kinda bad at adventuring.

Honestly it's more likely that I just forgot that since IRL those things happened months ago. I don't mind taking extended pauses, as I've been there myself as a GM, but mid-combat is rough.
