Look at the crewmember list.

Anyone that is not marked as Cannot be influenced you can try to influence it.

In this particular case, you can use:

Diplomacy to be truly friendly.
Bluff to pretend to be friendly.
Intimidate to bully into cooperation.

IIRC, all of the other sailors from the Man's Promise got taken away on the Wormwood. Don't quote me on that though.

Believe or not, the DC to influence him was exacly 28! only with that said 20 you would be able to influence him.

No worries! I'm someone who has written and run quite a lot of roleplaying games, and I know some people are very interested in the "meet a stranger to marry" plots. I'm also not used to playing female characters, that was just how I pictured this one.

Information: 0 That was the catch. Pass and he would tell Plugg's plans, fail and he would postpone the conversation.

Evening: The gnome will sing and count histories and such for the night.

The next day, you'll be really tired for spending the night talking and singing.

Well... at least he might be on our side now.

Vic will wake up convinced that Conchobar doesn't have any information worth knowing, and will ignore him a bit and talk to some others on the boat instead (new diplomacy checks if necessary).

Heck, I'm also fine with GMs who just give general descriptions and details of the things. Just figure it's worth checking if I know anything about, say, resistance to fire.

Acrobatics:
When doing a acrobatic check for anything other than ‘Move through a threatened area’ or ‘Move through an enemy's space’, you gain half of your level (rounded down, minimum 1) as ‘pirate’ bonus.

don't forget about this house rule!

It looks like I'm not the only one with posting issues lately.

Unfortunately, I feel the time has come for me to throw in the towel. I've tried to keep everything balanced, but I've been failing miserably for some time now, and I need to acknowledge that. Real life has beaten me again, and I must withdraw.

Yeah, thanks for giving it a go, Aku. Sorry it didn't work out. Especially for dien and thunderbeard who just joined. Those were some good characters.

Having said that, I liked all the characters and all of you folks are some really good posters. Maybe I'll catch up with some of you in another thread someday.
