Ha, that's more than what I'm doing. Not real big on sports, the classic geek, so I don't care much who wins.
I've been a fan of the Dolphins since forever (back in the Dan Marino glory days) but NFL gets little more than a weekly highlights show here in the UK (unless you subscribe to satellite TV) so it's kind of easy to follow the sport without it becoming a full-time occupation!!! Having said that, the Superbowl is always broadcast in full over here... and the Dolphins are playing in the London games this year (kinda tempted to go see that).
Isn't that neat? We are from four countries (UK, France, Canada, and USA), and from many scattered within the USA. (San Fran to Alabama, Las Vegas to Kansas City).
I love that our hobby and our technology can facilitate the connections between peoples who otherwise would never meet.

I'm a big football fan...although I'm a Jets fan since the NYSE days. I think Bama got hosed on the penalty at the end...it didnt happen in the end zone...should have been either half way to the goal line or a 5 yd penalty...can't remember which they called...thin it was OPI....
I'm not too upset. For one, our defense did a tremendous job, it's just that anyone is going to get tired out by playing for 100 snaps. For another, it was a young quarterback who needs to grow, though I'm not sure what's in Jalen Hurts' future at the moment given some of the recruits that may be coming in. All in all, I'm looking forward to next year and hope that we can make it again.
Annnnnnnd.... that's that, folks. Grayface rides off into the sunset (sunrise?) like a cowboy... or as I picture him, more like John Rambo on his personal quest to set right the wrongs of his past.
It's been fun! If things clear up I'll chime in and see if you guys have room for me to help finish up the Spire's delve. If not, then let me say thank you to everyone for being fun, evocative, and awesome friends to play with for the last couple of years.

Sad to see you go, and sadder that we spent so little time together, but I am looking forward to seeing you again, and as Yasmin says, congrats on the little one. Hope you have fun passing down the family dice. :D
It's been a fun couple of years with lair after den after crypt falling to Gorloth's Edge... may the wind fill your sails and maybe, when you come around from the dark side of the moon, you can drop by and we'll see whether Grayface can make a triumphant return...

Ooooh, sudden thought. What if, if we finish the Spire before Gray gets back, we start a new campaign where we journey to help him against the slavers, who have a much larger operation in Numeria than they thought?
That would be a pretty amusing idea. I wonder if there are some published adventures out there that would tie in well.
@Rallos - As I noted in the gameplay thread, Yasmin is giving you the ability to cast Mirror Image as a Spell Tattoo at Yasmin's caster level (currently 9) once per day. It's like any other spell except you cast it silently, and casting still draws an AOO. This comes from Yasmin's 7th level class ability as a Tattooed Sorcerer.

Hope you don't mind the hostility towards you, Titania. Murassa has...issues with Hellknights in general and Cheliax in particular.
Folks, just give us the nod and I'll post for you hiking out to the Spire... and, when you get there, hiking to the Mistress of Thorns' level or using the Spire to teleport down?

Always good to see the sights on the first descent.
Reading through the gameplay thread would be a crazy amount of work! The campaign tab is actually pretty helpful to show who we defeated and who managed to get away. It also talks a little about our outstanding quests. Right now, we want to kill the undead lurking somewhere in the depths, find a wizard named Tiawask (who we found previously but who then disappeared on us and ventured further down), and map out each of the levels of the spire for Abenard Royst. This business with the Mistress of Thorns is it's own quest too, soon to be resolved I expect.
The other strange business is that we can use pieces of the spire to teleport to different levels (by touching the spire). But every time we do that, something weird happens. Sometimes there's a presence that says it's been waiting for us.
Yeah I know. It'probably take me about a week or two to read it all. I've reread the Shattered Star game that Zed is running and I'm playing in a few times. I've gone through the campaign info tab, so I know about some of that.

A year or so ago I was recruiting because my game had lost a player. I had a number of awesome submissions but the determining factor was when one person told me that he had read through the entire game up to that point, which was about 2500 posts at that point, if I recall the time correctly. That really impressed me and so he won the gig!
(yeah, I'm still lingering around the boards a bit)
@Titania - you're still standing. GM Zed has you at 6HP after your attack. Which isn't great but it's something.
Because Titania is pretty close to falling unconscious / being killed, wanted to discuss what my next action should be. One option which I like is that I can cast Greater Invisibility on Titania, which might divert the bad guy from attacking you. Two problems I see with that:
1. Leaves Yasmin in melee range. But I think that can be solved if you take a 5-foot step back toward Yasmin, in which case Yasmin can use her move action to run away.
2. Could make it harder for Ea to heal you, if that's what she has in mind. But I could make you invisible after Ea has acted.
So yeah, thoughts on that strategy? Other suggestions?

Yeah, Titania - you didn't take all of the damage that you might have when attacking the Mistress of Thorns (I've ruled - wrongly or otherwise, it's my game!!! - that you only take the damage when you hit... and you only hit once that round).[/ooc]
As for actions, if the GM allows, I will take a five foot step back since Tot is no longer taking a dirt nap. Speaking of, the word used in the description is strikes, so I think it could be argued either way.
In a way, though, I almost rather Tot be down. She's still on her feet, but low enough that she can be killed if she gets hit hard enough and I'd rather not have to replace her after I started getting the hang of her personality. Not really complaining, though. I'm having fun after all! :)
From the PRD, If used before a roll is made, a hero point grants you a +8 luck bonus to any one d20 roll. If used after a roll is made, this bonus is reduced to +4... so it would have worked - as I am a kind and benevolent GM, you can use the Hero Point now if you like (it'll get you past the SR for sure) and I'll retcon as appropriate!!!

I have updated the summary of your foes on your Campaign front page... the Mistress of Thorns is neither 'One who Fell' nor 'One who Got Away'... let's just say, you might not have seen the last of her!!!
I just changed office at work, and things will be rough till mid february (cause we are in temporary offices and will move AGAIN near the 14th February)
Just checked out the campaign tab and saw that the dragon had a name! Vrainheis the Magma Dragon? Makes me want to learn more about his story. Maybe something to do when we all roll back into town.
