Since we are a part of the escort of the prisioner I want to see the guy.
I talk to the rest of the party also:
Guys we are part of the escort of the prisioner. It is of our best interest that it all goes well and smoth. The elves want to be the ones making the delivery and that is fine. But we should be articulated with them and the Lashuntas and make our part to make sure it goes well.
And we also must prepare our own escourt of Julius. How will we make both escorts? One of us goes with the prisioner and the others leave with the diplomat?

Oderon |

The weeks pass without incidents and eventually your goal nears. Captain Arwin speaks to your comms
Who is captain Arwin? :P
Since we are a part of the escort of the prisioner I want to see the guy.
I talk to the rest of the party also:

"Our task is to escort Julius, and that is it" - Odo states pragmatically - "Like captain Arvin instructed, we are his security detail, not the prisoner's" - he adds.

Duncan Freespirit |

Yes Odo but Cap. Arvin also said:
So, the mission is a prisoner escort to Suskillon, a planet in the Vast, roughly a month away. The Pact Worlds has been trying to get them to join us for some time (…) Figuring this would be a good way to improve our relations there were negotiations with Castrovel and they’ve agreed to give him to us, but only if they’re the ones handling the delivery. So basically, the Castrovel delegation will handle security and transport and you’ll just tag along.
... so I think that one of us should tag along to improve the relations between both sides

Quigonius |

Well, I did hear him say we need to avoid a diplomatic incident, opening up our task to just about pretty f~@~in everything, Quig exclaims still visibly irritated by the whole situation...
That said, I suppose if anything was to happen on this ship it would have happened already.
I'd say we just need to beware of any newcomers. Customs patrols, local escorts, welcome parties, f&+~in natives in straw skirts and glass beads playing the ukelele! he adds in what's probably an obscure reference that no one gets...
Aaaaaargh I'm getting too old for this cloak and dagger s!*~...

"I think you are confusing my friend (confusing characters and roles - who the heck is Duncan?! :D) - Julius is the one to handle the negotiations and improve the relations, and we are to keep him safe" - Oderon insists - "Any one of us removed from guarding the diplomat, is endangering that task"

"I think you are just overthinking this my friend" - Odo chuckles, a strange hissing but cavernous sound - "We are to escort and defend Julius. Done" - he shrugs - "If other events surface, they shall be dealt with"

Keskodai Shirren Priest Mystic |
Keshkodai stays silent for a couple of seconds while his brain toasts digesting the information...
Crap, I think you right Odo. I was overthinking the situation. We just have to escort the diplomat and he's the one responsible for improving the relations. Keshkodai probably would have smile at his own confusion but his critin skin offers you no expressions Well, that at least puts my mind at ease. Anyone interested in a drink before we land?

Quigonius |

Sure, kid yourself all you want man.
Last time we just went to do something somewhere, bombs exploded and I found myself being accused of s!*& and indebted to people I don't even know.
But it doesn't change anything, you're here, I'm here, this needs to get done, let's just go with it...

![]() |

Guys I clear remember Cap. Arvin saying:
Why are you going then, you ask? Well, we’ll send with the transport a diplomat to another round of negotiations with the Suskillon royalty and you’ll be his security detail. That and we want to make sure that the prisoner arrives alive at his destination, he’s made many enemies in Castrovel and I’m not sure we can trust his guards.
I want to talk with Julius and learn about his itinerary.
And I want to talk with Ness and try to learn about when will the prisoner be delivered.

RNGod |

Keskodai, you gain 6HPs and 7 SPs
Navasi talks to Julius but apparently he doesn't have a plan yet. He likes the ideia of knowing how the prisoner delivery will be so he goes with you to talk to the castrovelians. The guards at the stairs to the upper level have instruction not to let you up and of course Julius doesn't like that at all.
So, Navasi is with Julius trying to convice the guards to let them speak to Captain Brymenor...
Odo is in the docking bay, at the lower floor, training...
Keskodai and Quigonius are in the lounge...
... and you leave the Drift.
Seconds after you hear a huge explosion and the ship trembles and shakes.
You hear some screams in the comms What the hell is going on? We came up in the middle of a space war!!
As you get up, you begin to hear many hits directly in the ship’s hull and more screams Shields down! Hull breached on multip.. – more explosions rock the ship. The doors close shut and the lights are cut off, replaced for red blinking warnings
..the engine!! – Another explosion shakes the whole ship, making it spin out of control and shutting down the artificial gravity. The sudden movement sends you flying unless you grab onto something.
Reflex save DC 13 or be thrown around. You gain the off-kilter condition and head towards a wall or ceiling. Check zero gravity rules on the doc The ship is now spinning in the vacuum

RNGod |

Odo, you're alone in the cargo bay
You scramble to grab to something and only Navasi fails to do so, smashing against a wall.
You hear the pilot again Seal your armors boys and girls. I’ll try to steady the ship but we’re heavily damaged
Then the captain’s voice takes over Men, status report
Navasi, you take 3 points of damage and are off-kilter
roll: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 1) = 3

RNGod |

All the soldiers check in, but suddenly you hear the pilot again
Wait! I think I saw something... What the hell is AAAHHHH!!!! – comms are cut off.
Captain Brymenor voice is tense - Elas, Rivis, what’s the status on the prisoner? Ylyndar, try to do something about the doors. Starfinders, can you get to the pilot?
So, the doors are locked because of the breaches in the hull. Maybe you can do something about it on the engineering bay, on the bottom area of the ship in the map. To go to the cockpit you have to use the stairs on upper part of the ship. You can also try to hack each door individually with an Engineering check
Kesk, the guns are controlled on the cockpit.
Odo, there's one lashunta with you, Omaes, she's unhurt

![]() |

I seal my armor and then I want to grab to something.
Is Julius floating?
Julius, stay close to me!
If I'm connected to the ship comms or can in any way answer captain Brymenor:
Captain Brymenor sir, thought you never ask, on my way as soon as these doors decide to open. Any intel on what we are fighting?
Assuming our armor gives us the ability to talk between ourselves.
Quig budy, how fast can you get those doors open?
For what I understood to get to the cockpit I have to climb 2 floors, right? how many doors?
And Quiq is on the same floor as the engineering bay just on the opposite side of the ship, right?

Oderon |

"Omaes, right?" - Odo shouts at the lashunta - "I am Oderon. Set your comms to RG435.7A. Stick to me like an Elerian tick, and we'll get out of this. Go!" - and heads out of the training area in search of the others.
RNGod, Oderon will play it by ear, depending on the areas he encounters as he moves out, but the idea is reaching the pilot.
Opening the comms to his companions on the RG435.7A channel, the Vesk hails them - "Boys and girls? Got a shake but all good on my end - I am heading out of the training area. Report your status?"

RNGod |

Omaes looks a bit nervous - We've had some training in zero G scenarios but this is my first time actually in one. - she tries to steady herself and reports in
You hear the comms - Captain, this is Omaes! I'm in the cargo bay looking for a way up
Julius is floating around looking panicked - Help me, please! - he says as he bumps into the ceiling.
You hear someone trying to open the door upstairs
You hear something on the door to the cockpit, it looks like something scratching the door
There's a map on the campaign info. The cockpit is the topmost area of the ship. Odo, you have several stairs to go up, wich on will you go?
roll: 1d20 ⇒ 15
roll: 1d20 ⇒ 13
roll: 1d20 ⇒ 2
roll: 1d20 ⇒ 3

Quigonius |

RNGod I wasn't able to post before so I may have missed an action, I'll just tell you all I wanted to do and you filter it out ;)
As soon as Quig gets his bearings after the explosion he wants to use the ship's computer to get a status report on the ship and find out where everyone is.
Computers: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Then captain Brymenor tells us to get to the pilot...
Quig wants to find the quickest route to the cockpit and open any doors that need to be opened along the way.
Computers: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Not sure if I actually get there with Keskodai and he asks me to open the door and throw the grenade, or something happens before that, but if that happens...
Kesk, did I hear you right? We don't want to kill the pilot, just find out what happened and help fix it. Why do you want to throw a grenade in there?

RNGod |

Quig uses his rig and easily accesses the ship's info, bypassing the locks in place
You manage to access the ship's computer and locate the sensors management. Most of the castrovelans are in the upper deck and so is the prisoner. You also notice that the prisoner containment is failing due to power outage. Another one is in the lower deck with Odo, both moving to you. The last one is in the cockpit but his life signs aren't responding.
You also find one unidentified life form in the cockpit and two in the upper deck
Then he moves north and works on the door
This will take a while, you can react to the above information before you open the door. I can let you continue to check on this info, updating it every round using a move action
You float 15' north. Remember you have to tell me if you want to use your boot clamps, they are standard-issue for most armors

Quigonius |

Over the same comms channel the captain is in...
Quig to all hands on the upper deck. I'm reading two unidentified life forms up there with you. Be on your guard!
The prisoner containment unit is failing as well. I'll see if I can do anything about it, but assume he's either running loose or will be soon!
A pause for breath...
The pilot's life signs are unresponsive and there's an unidentified life form in the cockpit. I'm with Kesk and will engage, let's hope we're not too late...
Then just to Kesk (if possible - I guess we can't really speak while sealed in a vacuum suit. Is there like a close-proximity comms channel or something? if not, the following is over the other comms channel as well)
There's only one of them inside and the pilot may still be alive. We can handle this Kesk! No grenades man...
Then Quig uses the ship computer to:
Reroute alternate power to the prisoner containment unit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
Open cockpit door: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24 (I think this was already covered by my previous action of opening all doors until the cockpit, but just in case...)

RNGod |

You can have a private channel just for you but you're only listening one at a time. To change them it's a move action
Odo, the deck is dark, only with warning lights so you don’t see the other end. Make a strength check to hold on
As you keep checking the sensors, there's another warning in the cargo bay(where Odo is), another hull breach. Seconds later, another unidentified blip appears
Quig starts working on the door, he needs to access it physically and it may take a bit
Navasi, you’ve just realized that Julius is not wearing any armor
You hear the Captain barking orders Check the prisoner dammit! Where’s.. – she’s suddenly interrupted by another elf Contact!! - comms ended
roll: 1d20 ⇒ 3
roll: 1d20 ⇒ 1
roll: 1d20 ⇒ 2
roll: 1d20 ⇒ 4

Quigonius |

RNGod, no private channels then. We're in a rush...
F%&!in... Odo, watch out! I'm reading a new contact in the cargo bay!
They're bursting through the hull!
Quig keeps working on the cockpit door, we need to get in and get the hell away from here!
RNGod, can I somehow seal the ship using the computer? Some sort of countermeasure like electrifying the hull, restoring shields? Something like that?
Quig thinking furiously (Engineering): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15

RNGod |

The door to the cargo bay is closed so you're safe for now. You notice that the air warning is also blinking on the cockpit, meaning its loosing pressure also
By the corner of his eye he sees Omaes tumbling towards the hole too.
Noticing a few loose straps used to hold cargo, he makes a last effort to grab them
Rflex save to grab the straps
str check: 1d20 ⇒ 5

Oderon |

"Grab a hold Omaes!" - Oderon shouts, while he himself tries to find something to latch on to.
Reflex: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
"And what the Hell is that? A space bug?" - he adds, trying to reach for the soldier.
Also, could I roll something to try and identify that creature?
Intelligence?: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19

![]() |

Saying to the comms: Julius is not wearing any armor. I'm searching for an emergency suit for him!
And that's Navasi's plan to search for an emergency suit for Julius. Can I see an emergy suit? or do I know where they are stored?
I want to go get the suit to Julius or help Julius reach the suit, whatever is faster.
I'm assuming that Julius has some rounds (while he can hold his breath) before he suffocates and, for now, the ship is in good shape enough for vacuum to be a problem.
Then shouting to Julius (if that's possible): Julius grab to something and come to me I'm going to get you a suit!

RNGod |

Navasi, there's no breach where you are, so there's air and oxygen . The only thing that's missing is gravity.
Julius manages to grab himself to a light on the ceiling and curls there, panicking HELP MEEE!!!
You don't see any suits. Roll engineering for general ship knowledge
The emergency alarms barely give any light but it's enough for the vesk to see the creature cleary. A growl comes to his throat as he recognizes what can only be a drone of the Swarm.
Across the bay, he glimpses at Omaes, also grabbing himself to something.
Moving by sinking its claws on the wall, the creature starts to move towards the lashunta
The Swarm is a vast locust swarm that is driven by an innate need to consume all things and absorb their best qualities into itself. Piloting living starships and capable of slowly twisting their own biology into formidable weapons, the threat of the Swarm forced peace between the Pact Worlds and the Veskarium in order to stave off mutual destruction. Though it was repelled, the Swarm yet exists and will remain a threat until the day it is purged from the universe.
reflex: 1d20 ⇒ 19
reflex: 1d20 ⇒ 20

Quigonius |

Quig tries to locate emergency suit closest to Julius and Navasi, and if successful relays that info over the comms...
Computers: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Also, I want to say over comms...
The cockpit is also losing pressure team. Brace yourself Kesk...
Then Quig refocuses on opening the door as quickly as possible.

RNGod |

As soon as Quig manages to crack the door open, they begin to feel the air being sucked out of the room.
You only have a crack open, what do you want to do?

Quigonius |

Navasi, Julius, there are suits in the cargo bay. Can you get there?
Beware that Odo is there with some unidentified contacts.
Scout does his best to counter the pull with his thrusters and jams itself against some corner to get some help.
Once the pressure stabilizes, Scout goes in and I finish opening the door.

![]() |

I don't have engineering and it can't be used untrained.
Talking to the comms: Quig, cargo bay is the size of the ship! Can you be a bit more precise?
Talking to Julius: There're emergency suits in the cargo bay but we better not have to go that way.
Do you have a spacesuit or armor in your room?

RNGod |

Quig, you're at the door - strength check to keep it closed
Odo manages to steady himself and the clamps latch on to the floor again. Then he fires his weapon at the creature grazing it. Omaes tries to do the same but somehow fumbles it and drops his weapon which is promptly sucked out to space.
The creature continues to move and reaches the lashunta, it's antenaes reaching for him
Seeing this situation, you realize where Omaes is holding on to - space suit storage, you see at least 3
The sound of gunfire slowly fades away in the upper deck and you don't even see any more attempts to open the hatch. The silence seems to panick Julius even more and he grabs on with arms and legs I don't wan't to die, I don't want to die...
