RACIALTRAITS Size And Type Vesk are medium humanoids with the vesk subtype

Fearless Vesk receive a +2 racial bonus to saving throws against fear effects
Low-light Vision Vesk can see in dim light as if it were normal light. For more details, see page 264
Natural Weapons [not implemented]vesk are always considered armed. They can deal 1d3 lethal damage with unarmed strikes and the attack doesn't count as archaic. Vesk gain a unique weapon specialization with their natural weapons at 3rd level, allowing them to add 1-1/2 x their character level to their damage rolls for their natural weapons (instead of just adding their character level, as usual)
THEME BENEFITS Gladiator You are a veteran of the public blood sport industry-a survivor of countless battles to earn a shiny credstick of winnings, the adulation of your fans, or both. You might be a veteran of akiton's fighting pits, a student of the ritualized styles of triaxus's battleflowers, or the sort of masochist who can't help but return to eox's halls of the living. You're likely to die before your habits do, though, as you find few things more exciting than the rush of battle and the pounding cheers of a thousand fans
Theme Knowledge Your experience in the arenas has exposed you to countless warrior cultures, and you both recognize strange martial arts and know how to impress others with your own unique style. Reduce the dc of culture checks to recall knowledge about entertainment combat, fighting styles, and gladiatorial traditions by 5. Intimidate is a class skill for you, though if it is a class skill from the class you take at 1st level, you instead gain a +1 bonus to intimidate checks. In addition, you gain an ability adjustment of +1 to constitution at character creation
CLASS FEATURES: Primary Fighting Style You have a preferred fighting style that represents the type of soldier you are. Each fighting style is composed of various style techniques that you learn as you gain experience. You must pick one fighting style upon taking your first soldier level, and once made, this choice cannot be changed. Descriptions of the fighting styles you can choose from appear on pages 112-115
Blitz The blitz fighting style is all about using speed and aggression to get into the thick of melee. You increase your speed and responsiveness, gain abilities that make you better at melee combat than your enemies, and keep on fighting even when surrounded by foes
Primary Style Technique At 1st level and every 4 levels thereafter, you gain a style technique unique to your primary fighting style
Rapid Response You gain a +4 bonus to initiative checks and increase your land speed by 10 feet
Combat Feat At 2nd level and every 2 levels thereafter, you gain a bonus feat in addition to those gained from normal advancement. These bonus feats must be selected from those listed as combat feats. Whenever you gain a new bonus feat, you can also choose to replace one of the bonus feats you have already learned with a different bonus feat. The feat you replace can't be one that was used as a prerequisite for another feat or other ability. You can change only one feat at any given level, and you must choose whether or not to swap the feat at the time you gain the new bonus feat

BACKGROUND
Oderon was born on Vesk Prime to a family of low-level military bureaucrats. he quickly established himself as a topnotch military cadet, enlisting as soon as his basic studies were complete. In Veskarium society, social status is most easily earned through excellence in combat, and Odo soon proved himself in several battles.
Yet in his youthful arrogance, Oderon overlooked the power of political connections. After dueling and deeply shaming another member of his unit—one with family ties to high-ranking military officials—he found himself assigned to patrol a section of frozen tundra on Vesk-8, where the pacifist residents refused to give him any opportunity for combat. When it became clear that appeals to his superiors weren’t going to get him a better assignment, a frustrated Oderon waited for his term to end, then left to work as a mercenary in the Pact Worlds. Here, at last, he found what he'd been searching for: an endless series of battles and adventures.
Rather than signing on with a mercenary company, Oderon found himself better suited to working with small groups of adventurers. Small teams mean more glory per person, and he often finds himself the sole front-line fighter on a crew, which appeals to his vanity and showboating style. As Oderon’s fond of saying, battle is too important to leave to amateurs, and he believes that the best way to win a fight is to move fast and hit hard.
While Oderon appreciates wealth, his true desire is for recognition. This is best exemplified by the holoprojector on his back, capable of projecting a personalized holographic war-banner in combat to make sure the enemy knows who’s coming for them. Although brilliant on the battlefield,
Oderon is a little slow on the draw in most intellectual pursuits, having little patience for education not directly related to his vocation. He believes that honor demands honesty, and while he's not against lying by omission, he would rather die than break his word. In conversations with
new people, he's direct to the point of rudeness, and he thinks most species talk too much as an attempt to cover up their cowardice.
Notes:
Our ship = The Loreseeker, a Pegasus-class ship that’s one of the fastest and lightest in the Society’s fleet.
- A lost Starfinder vessel, the Unbounded Wayfarer, was discovered by undead creatures from a starship called the Endless Threnody.
- Suspicions that the Endless Threnody is connected with the Corpse Fleet, a group of Eoxian separatists who refuse to work alongside the living.
- We have the location of the Endless Threnody in the Drift, courtesy of the information you brought us. Its Drift engine is incapacitated, so it’s unable to escape the Drift.
- Take the Loreseeker into the Drift, cripple the Eoxian ship — as a Corpse Fleet vessel, they won’t be open to negotiations — and recover the location of the lost Starfinder vessel.
