Thanks. Vank is certainly interested in getting leadership and repopulating his tribe. In the game that died that Vank started in he did have a lot to do with Grumblejack but I'm not sure about him as a companion, he isn't very subtle and maybe more importantly not hobgoblin. I'll think on it.

Did I take the hands of the major enemies we've killed? Did I take blood from the enemy spellcasters? I meant to do those things but I think I forgot.

GM is it to late to say that I did that after they died?


Wouldn't have thought it was an issue - we didn't butcher or mutilate the corpses to any great degree...

I have sample jars and a surgery/taxidermy kit. Also prestidigitation to clean up. I should be alright. I am a necromancer though. A certain amount of deathly perfume is to be expected.

Compared to Albrekt I probably smell fresh as a daisy.

Have still to invoke Albrekt's Corpse Rider class ability. He plans to resurrect one of the Keep's warhorses as his corpse mount - presuming that at least one of the Captain's or Commander has a decent steed that can serve as raw material?

The cardinal's chest had 5k in platinum. The commander's chest loot list I posted was for the chest you found in the paladin's quarters. The trapped one.

Can you spend skill points gained from a level in a PrC on prior class skills? Or can you only spend them on skills that the PrC has listed as it's class skills.

If I can only spend points on the PrC list, then I think the only thing I would add to the PrC would be Bluff, which as a Devil makes sense, and is the primary skill for Haruk.

Edit: I'm going to suggest d10s for HD vs the DD's d12, as outsiders have d10s for HD.

Do we roll, take average, or max for HD on levels?

Also, I have like zero gear, can I assume I have time in between now and the start of the next mission to equip myself with at least 5th level WBL?


@MG: Pretty sure its 1/2 HD+1 for HP.

With regards gear etc - we're frankly weak sauce at both loot keeping etc. No idea what we've garnered other than we buried some when we took out the Northman longship.

Once I'm back from work I'll scour the thread and try to amass the loot into a working list.

@GM-Fang: What's the script with us looking to sell/trade items and swag?

@Haruk: You can put ranks in any skills you want. The only benefit that class skills give you is a +3 bonus the first time you take a rank. d10 would be fine.

@Albrekt: No buying or selling stuff at the moment. You will have the opportunity to do so reasonably early in the 2nd book. There's also a heap of time for crafting in the second book.

Fang, I was asking about gear, as I joined the game as level 4(I think?) but completely forgot to buy equipment.

I'm OK with just having the stuff I have on my sheet, and whatever I take from the loot pile, but it would be nice to have some other gear.

Edit: I'd like the headband if that's possible.

I dug back through the posts and when you, Vank and Xanos joined I said that you all could have 3k in gear, as the WBL for the party was less than standard. As such, feel free to add 3k worth of stuff to your PC.

Hey guys!

Sorry for the delays, but was slammed with the US holiday over here to a certain degree.

As many of you recall I posted back in November that I was really struggling to sink my teeth into this AP for a number of reasons, none of which have anything to do with you guys or GM Fanguar - but I'm just not vibing the "evil AP" as much as I had hoped to.

If GM Fanguar is OK with it, I'd like to offer up Kaynen's seat at the game for a replacement PC who could get more from the game and at the same time offer more to help the game pick up the pace. It seems like an appropriate time as folks are leveling up and I just hate being the least vested player into a game that could be made that much better by getting someone who'd really dig the whole setup.

Would be sorry to see the dandy poet go, but know how it can be just tipping the nod into a game.

GM-Fang's call, but I'd be game for a replacement or two should Kaynen step away.

Thanks guys. GM Fanguar is a tremendous GM, so it's extremely hard to let one of his games go, but I really want to ensure you guys all have a player who fully buys into the Way of the Wicked AP and can match Albrekt's hunger for destruction.

Just a quick note for other. If I'm away for prolonged periods I'm totally fine with any of you taking actions for Vank. I keep the spoiler up to date with spells left etc. I did have 1 second level spell remaining would have been happy for you to declare that I used it for a bear strength ( or a silence to kill the guard patrol.)

@all: Do we want another player? The 4 of you can probably handle the AP especially if Vank is going to grab the Leadership feat.

Are you allowing Leadership? I have 3 npcs in my backstory that I would not mind having with me in game.

However, I would not mind another actual player. Cohorts, followers, companions etc are great, but having somebody else entirely(Not one of us or even you Fang) as a new member of our Knot would be awesome.

I would be fine keeping things to just the four of us. All the main party roles are covered. I'd worry about our ability to find and disarm traps, but there are ways around that.


I'm easy either way. New blood (especially of the roguish variety) would be a decent boon to Der Knotten, but if we decide to forge ahead as a Fearsome Foursome I have no issue with that.

Vank is levelled up only major add is Third level spells, Cure Serious wounds, Heroism and circle of protection vs good (first two are forced third was my choice.

As for leadership I am leaning towards taking Grumblejack as he is already part of story and have the hord of most off screen lesser followers be hobgoblins. Which reminds me of something I had been planning to post.

Vank can make good use of the Brestplate and greatsword. Haruk should get the +2 charisma, Vank will grab a second one if we find one or inherit that one if we find a better one.

RE: Leadership: I'm just going to allow it for Vank at the moment, since he is the only PC that isn't picking up any other templates. It's mostly just to keep the everyone around the same power level.

Vank, you might want to check out Vile Leadership. It seems more fitting for what you have in mind.

Albrekt, do you have Fiendish Boon, or did you trade that out with your archetype? Also, I'd recommend investing in a Portable Hole as soon as possible. You can put your coffin in it. Portable nap hole.

GM, I am planning on making a Homunculus next level. I want to make it out of my own hand (it will make sense in game, I promise). Essentially, I'm wanting to be able to detach my hand and have it run around like Thing from the Addams Family. Would you be alright with that idea?


@Xanos: Don't have Fiendish Boon - Corpse Rider is equivalent. This is where he got Golgotha - his undead steed from.

@GM-Fang: As Albrέkt was "born" in the Keep... am thinking that he will at least take soil and ashes from its ruins to place within his coffin. Ideally if Balentyre had a tomb/crypt/mausoleum then he would liberate a coffin from there...

As for transporting said coffin - really need to put the old thinking cap on. Don't want it to be a liability... but at the same time need it to be close/handy for him... Mmm. Xanos' solution of a portable hole has merit...


@Xanos: That's a pretty awesome idea, I approve.

@Albrekt: Nabbing something from the keep seems reasonable. A portable hole seems like a solid investment in the future. Ultimately, it's only really an issue if you drop below 0 hp, of course.

Pathfinder vampires don't actually sleep, so Albrekt doesn't need to be in his coffin during the day, he just can't get in direct sunlight. If it is raining, or what not, he's fine.

I was actually thinking that he should build a sealed suit of full plate with a small vent and just use gaseous form to get in and out.

Ultimately, the need for the coffin is for when he drop below 0. If he can't reach his coffin he dies.
