Looking at the descriptions we have so far, I don't see a way inside the horn to get to other levels. Now that we have cowed the boggards, can we check areas C1 through C9? I didn't see where we had scouted those yet.

Other than that, we can ask the boggards if they know of ways through to other levels. And there is also the small hole in the blue room that the drugged out shaman claimed held our destiny. Is Xanos's main gauche the only means we have to look down that little tunnel right now?

Cince we don't need the rumor list in the campaign info tab anymore, can it be replaced with the info about the horn as we discover it? Starting with all these entries about the caves?

Crawling hand with the Valet Familiar archetype.

That book must be pretty big.

It's less that the book is big, though it is substantial, and more that the tunnel is minuscule. Like house cat sized.

How many hit dice did the boggard chieftain have (without class levels)?

The boggards have 3HD. You also killed 2 others when you first came to the cave, so you have 3 fresh bodies total. The chieftain was decapitated, but I'm not sure if that affects zombification at all.

I'm unaware of any rules about that, one way or the other. It's up to you.

I want to make sure all my math is above board for what I want to do next.

I have +6 to my Animate Dead Caster Level (+2 from traits, +2 from Favored Class bonuses, +2 from Deathwine and a potion of Cure Moderate Wounds). So, that gives me a caster level of 12.

When I cast Animate Dead I can Animate a number of Hit Dice equal to 3x my caster level (from the Cruoromancer animating infusion). So, I can animate 36 HD worth of undead.

I can control up to 5x my Caster Level in hit dice (Cruoromancer increases usual control limit, 60 hit dice total).

Bloody Skeletons are worth twice their listed Hit Dice for animating (but not for controlling).

I will be animating 3 Boggards as Bloody Burning Skeletons (3 hit dice each, but worth 9 when animating), and four Bloody Skeleton Archers (1 HD each, but worth 2 when animating)

So that's a total of 35 HD worth of undead, which normally costs 1225 GP.

With Blood Money I reduce that cost to zero, and take 1d6 damage and 3 Strength damage instead.

If there's no questions or issues with this, I'll put a post up about it in Gameplay.

I have no idea how animate dead, control undead or any of that stuff works, and I have no real interest in learning it at the moment.

I defer to your expertise on the matter. Please do not abuse your DM's trust.

Yeah, it's kind of a convoluted system in the first place, and then I add a bunch of little tweaks to it with my build.

When it comes up in game, I'll post a detailed summary of what I'm doing, both to keep everything honest, and to make sure I'm doing it right in the first place.

I'll break this one down to brass tacks for clarity-

Cost:
1d6+1d4+4 damage
3 strength damage
1 first level spell
1 second level spell
1 potion of cure moderate wounds
1 fourth level scroll

Result:
3 Boggard Skeletons
4 Human skeleton archers

GM, I need to know what weapons and armor the two boggard scouts had, and what the chieftain had.

Chief had a MW Greatsword - his head is currently adorning its pommel.

Yep. I'm going to have him collect it later. I still need to know about his armor and any secondary weapons.

I think I'll make a small adjustment and have the chief's head be a Beheaded. It just fits. I'll have to lose one of the skeleton archers, but I'm fine with that.

His Armour bonus was +2 (based on his spoilered stat profile during the scrap with Sariana) - presume Leather, but GM-F can confirm.

All the boggards have leather armour and the basic boggards are equipped with spears. No secondary weapons.

Thank you.

Did the chief have class levels? Skeletons lose all class level hit dice, but they retain weapon and armor proficiancies.

Shouldn't that be while you sleep? Never mind. No matter which way you answer that, it doesn't make it any less disturbing...

They know too much...

Standing orders to my undead.

"Kill things which attack your creator unless ordered not to."

"Obey your creator's allies each ally pointed out directly and named when this order is given as though they were your creator, unless their orders contradict your creator's orders."

"If you see people carrying any of these symbols show them Mitra's holy symbol, and other good-aligned gods , spread out so there is at least 30 feet between each of you."

"If your creator or his allies say "Stealth Mission," attempt to remain unseen by anyone other than your creator and his allies. Retreat and do not engage if you are spotted."

for the burning ones As much as possible, do not allow your flames to burn objects or allies.

I will spoiler these orders in my Minion alias, and add to them as we progress.

Haruk, have you seen This?

Pathfinder has a mechanical breakdown of how to become a demon. Seems like it would be pretty straightforward to convert that to Devil.

Male Human Sorcerer(Infneral) 5/Infernal Disciple 3

The rituals for becoming a demon? Yea, they're from Book of the Damned vol 2.

Been thinking about it honestly, we'll see. I was looking at the devil corruptions too.

Here's what I propose for searching this place-

We move as a group, letting Sariana take point while Taking 10 on Perception to scan for anything not immediately obvious.

Our spellcasters will have Detect Magic up as they follow behind.

GM, you can choose our path and describe the rooms until we run into something that would constitute an "encounter" or "hazard."

Sound good?

Fair enough.

But, and perhaps it isn't clear in the post, you just found the corpse of a minotaur, not a skeleton. Like a fresh dead body. Seems like a point of interest...

Molasbar, get access to Sift, likely via a want, as I don't think dipping one level for access to a cantrip makes much sense, lol.

The Two World Magic trait will get you Sift. You could either retrain an existing trait, or take the Extra Traits feat and pick up another trait as well.
