Thanks for the PM, this wasn't showing up.
I had one drop via PM, and one player who hasn't checked in yet (I sent a reminder PM yesterday, so I want to give them a couple days before I assume the worst)

I have only 2 check in of the original 6 sign-ups. 2 more have either been moved tables or played in session 1, they have promptly been replaced via the waiting list. 2 more have yet to respond in over 24 hours, I'm giving them benefit of the doubt for another 12 hours before I start finding replacements.

3 out of 6 players signed in. I will send PMs to the other 3 this evening, after that I will be mostly offline until Sunday.

All but one of my players have checked in; I sent the last one a PM last night but have yet to hear back or have them check in to the campaign though I've seen them active elsewhere on the forums.

I've got a replacement for my drop and a standby if my AWOL sign up doesn't check in tomorrow.

Since this is my first time doing a special via PbP, can someone give me a quick run down of how things work?
I’ve both GMed and played specials in face to face and GMed normal scenarios and a module in PbP.
I’m looking for an indication of what changes are done to the special in order to run it PbP.
I would also be interested in resources available to decrease my prep for the PbP.

Should we directly contact backup GMs, or just post here and see which one responds?
I will need a backup during at least some of my travel time around PaizoCon. I can get some posting in during the convention, but it would be slower than normal for what I hope are obvious reasons.
At a minimum I need May 23rd and morning of May 24th, May 28 to 30 covered.

I am in a game with Upaynao, he has been posting but less frequent from his usual. From what I understand he has been extremely busy.

Done! Last time he posted was Thursday in game, hopefully he checks in soon.

I'm here! I'm setting up. All is well. I will have walked through the valley of the Shadow of Death on the day we begin (5/7). But I should be good enough to set up.

Everything is (hopefully) ready on my end. If any of you need something, just shout. That includes replacement players. At two days out, we need to quickly fill any remaining vacancies by any means possible.
Also, please check the Recruitment thread. Like the Discussion thread, it was added after the campaign was created, so notifications may not work for it at first. Recruitment will be used for passing and requesting aid tokens only. Questions and discussion about the aid tokens should be here. Like the announcements in Gameplay, I'm hoping to keep the aid tokens clean and easy to read/search.

Question about the prepared copy and past text:
When players identify monsters, the text always links them to a list of questions they may ask. I strongly dislike this approach (both as player and as GM); may I instead choose an extra piece of information to give at each step?

As per this post I have space for somebody from the wait list for classic 5-6. Should I go about tracking them down myself?

I moved Kalderaan into luckless' spot on the sign-up sheet, and PMed him a link to your table.

Heh! My group decided to boost-n-pass right off the bat, soooo...
***Token #2***
Passing Aid Token to: Upaynao
Current Boosts: Provide Spellcasting (Lesser Restoration; CL 5th)
Actual game time--when players may take actions--hasn't started yet. Boosting and passing a token once is fine; that can be the players' readied action for when play starts. However, this is not an opportunity to stock up on a whole bunch of boosts. No token may be passed more than once before the announcement officially starting play.

I'll bow down too, I've just committed my character to another game that was available.

GM Blake |

I should be re-connected in about 4 hours, but if someone is available to start my crew on Guard Animals before then, they'd probably appreciate it.

GM Ladile |

Possibly another dumb question but is it permissible to 'call' an encounter early if the end seems a foregone conclusion? One of my guys has the animated owlbear mascot pinned and it ain't breaking free against his CMD so it's basically just a matter of time for the rest of the group to beat the thing to death, even with the Hardness. Seems much more fun and a better use of time to call it a victory and move them on, but I'm not sure how much leeway is allowed for that in PFS?
