Marnir There is no response to your challenge, only quiet mutters and slight shifting from below as the Buccaneers wait for you to come down.

Kung and Markizio cut down more of the Buccaneers. Jane sends a nasty bolt into the enemy captain, nearly hitting something vital.

Your crew have engaged and killed several more Buccaneers, arrows from the tower have taken several others.

The party is barely scratched and the surviving Buccaneers are attacking over the corpses of their fellows. Driven more by fear of the woman behind them than what is in front.

The other Captain is in the S&S folder, look up Isabella 'Inkskin' Locke' to see what she looks like.

Captain Locke Screeches in fury as jane's bolt sinks into her side deeply. Gesturing back she fires 5 glowing missiles at Jane.

With a resounding silence from the buccaneers below, Marnir jumps down the ladder with a roar and uses the extra momentum of his leap to bring his axe crashing down on the skull of another invader.

Wanting to get to the buccaneers' captain, but unable to because of the press of buccaneers, Kung vents his frustration on the target in front of him.

As Kung arrives near two of the only remaining buccaneers on the beach, his shoulders slump and he nearly stumbles as some of the fight goes out of him. He's unable to properly process the disappearance of the other captain, which would normally fascinate the half-orc; he barely notices it now, trying to keep himself upright and in the fight in the wake of his loss of strength. He doesn't allow this to derail him from the team's goal--he's too seasoned for that--but he's clearly operating at less than his full capacity.

Fatigue has set in.

He sees Markizio's sparkles fly through the air, and perhaps remembers how that might have put a smile on his face in another time, but now they are just a thing that happens. His face remains grim as he swings his greatsword at the buccaneer, hoping to end this quickly so that he can regain his strength.

Kung's head snaps at Markizio's words, and his eyes follow the glittery spellcaster into the sky. He takes a 5' step towards the water, to get some space away from the buccaneer he's fighting. Dropping his greatsword (free action), he draws one of his amentum-wound javelins (move action) and launches it at the hovering captain.

Sorry Markizio, I was incorrect, the save DC was 19 for her spell.

Markizio is almost fast enough to dodge as the ground under his feet rumbles menacingly.

A Geyser erupts under him, the boiling water scalding Markizio and hurtling him 50 feet into the air with the force of it's eruption.

Boiling on the way up, the way down was way worse but the sand somehow cushioned the fall and the well-dressed Markizio survived. With a few broken bones but he still was able to fight.

"What the b!~&&@%s is going on out here?!" Marnir exclaims as a flying sparkling woman throws Markizio in the air with a gout of boiling water. Kung's statement is as simple as it is obvious, and Marnir almost laughs out loud at his friend's attempt to clarify things.

Marnir runs towards the strange scene, slipping his axe back into it's sheath as he goes. He reaches down to his belt and pulls out his leather sling as he readies to lob some stones at the airborne glittery woman.
