Now this... Paizo Competition ...looks like a load of fun!!! Hmmmm.... which of the Iconics to have fun with?
Going to give Shadlah a little bit of time to post otherwise I will GMPC in the morning...

GM Zed |

I may just have done a bad thing... I've opened a recruitment thread for another game!!!
All of the games I am GM'ing at the moment (Emerald Spire, Shattered Star and Legendary Planet) are long running campaigns but it's also fun to run the occasional 'one off' adventure... having run Godsmouth Heresy (a few times!!!), Feast of Ravenmoor (admittedly inserted into my Shattered Star campaign) and Wardens of the Reborn Forge - I have decided to see if people have any interest in From Shore to Sea...
If any of you folks are interested then take a mosey over to: Here is the Recruitment Thread.

Teldon Moore |

My son's doing much better today, but my wife and other son have it now... I'll be back to regular posting as soon as I'm able, feel free to bot me in the meantime.

GM Zed |

I think so Zed; I can see that there are some branches off the corridor as we head south so I'd assume we'll stop and peer down the first one as we come to it.
Cool, I'll update the maps and what not assuming you're headed south from the Suzerain's 'domain'... FYI, it heads south for quite a while with two side passages off to the east before it reaches a corner and turns east as well... there is a door to the west after the first side passage...
I'm not going to post any Gameplay updates until at least one other person has agreed to heading south... It's been a busy weekend here (mother's day in the UK and a crazy day with the kids yesterday) so it's been a bit of a blessing that this game hit a weekend lull - keen to get you moving along next week though...

Ziomarra Callinovo |

I have a bit of a confession to make...
I about two years ago, I ran a heavily-modified version of this dungeon level in my "Champions of Old Korvosa" campaign. I changed the layout of a bunch of the rooms (switching in a couple of rooms from Seven Swords of Sin), and I switched the devils for similarly-powered demons (dretches for lemures; a quasit for the imp). I also changed the theme from Wrath to Lust, as my version was under the city of Korvosa and was a relic of Runelord Sorshen's rule.
A part that I was rather proud of was changing Lord Baz from whatever it was in the original (I honestly don't remember) to a mehrim demon from Tome of Horrors Complete. I just thought it was perfect to have a goat demon named "Lord Baz."

Ziomarra Callinovo |

I also reimagined the clockwork servant in my version of the Lost Laboratory. My version became a recurring NPC in my campaign.

Joanna Whitehall |

GM Zed, Do you still have room for a naive, but determined, paladin who happens to be the scion of a minor noble house?
Edit: And caught up. Hope I didn't miss too much.

Shadlah Broken-Earth |

Hey guys, I just got the internet connected. Might take me a while to get into the swing of things again, but I'm back!
JO! You're back! Hi! :D

GM Zed |

I have updated the map to show your current location… actions?
Joanna – welcome back, of course there is plenty of room!!! And, by goodness, there’s a load of devils down there in the Crow needing divine judgement!!! I will let you and the others decide how we get Joanna back into the game…
Shadlah – Hooray, internet!!!

Joanna Whitehall |

I'll say, though I think Teldon's sneak attack on the imp might have earned him a tongue lashing as well. ;)
If I've read things right, which is far from guaranteed, It's been over a day. I think Jo would be getting answer at this point and start looking for the others, then do so more quickly after seeing the corpses of fiends.
In all likelihood, some devil or three decided to make an example out of her. She's the uppity paladin rushing where angels fear to tread, so perhaps she comes stumbling in fighting off a few devils that remained hidden. I think imps should do the trick. Flitting about, tugging on hair, clothes, and armor when not trying to kill her by a thousand cuts.
Totally up to you though.

Joanna Whitehall |

Hi Zee! Looking forward to getting back into this one and your RotRL game. I'm trying to be patient and ease my way back in so I don't wind up doing myself in. (Don't worry Teldon, I plan on catching up to your's soon enough.)

GM Zed |

Okay, I really don't like bringing this up but I think I've probably waited for an appropriate length of time...
We have always enjoyed a great posting rate in this game (typically we have got through an entire page of posts each week) and that has kept our crazy little adventure bubbling along at a good pace... But this week, for whatever reason (and I know / understand that Ziomarra has been unwell and Shadlah is only just getting her internet back) the only person actually moving us along has been Briana... Neither Teldon nor Arsith has posted since Monday (over three days ago now).
Is there something I can do better to get us back to the daily posting that this game has normally exceeded (and has always been the campaign expectation)? Are my posts too closed not leaving folks with anything to do? Is there an issue with the game? Now that we've gone from Ravenmoor to a more traditional dungeon exploration, are people not feeling it?
...hopefully this is just a little blip and I'm being an oversensitive, grumpy GM!!!
Anyway, whinge over and, in recognition of keeping things moving, Briana gets a boon: Once, before she next rests, she may select a single d20 roll to be a natural 20.

Briana Kaddren |
Thank you Zed; hopefully I'll be able to put it to good use!
I'm not sure about anything or anyone in particular, but I think this week might have been Spring Break for some of the folks living here in the States. Typically there's no school and so plenty of people take trips of course and/or have their children home from school and are kept busy.
To be honest, as fun as Ravenmoor was it's also nice to be back to exploring the Crow so I'm doing fine regarding the dungeon crawl.

Joanna Whitehall |

Same here, if only to get closer to a certain part of the next book.

Teldon Moore |

Apologies- I've been dealing with two rounds of sick children and a wife that's recovering from surgery, so I've been struggling to keep up with my posts.

Ziomarra Callinovo |

I'll do my best. I missed four days of work while my back-up was on vacation, so work is pretty much on fire (figuratively). I normally post on my lunch hour, and I'm not taking those for the next week or so while I'm playing catch-up.
Plus, my wife's getting a bit annoyed with me for tapping on my laptop during the relatively rare times when we're both actually in the house at the same time.
But ill do my best to make shorter, daily posts.

Briana Kaddren |
Hey folks, as a heads-up I wanted to let you all know that pending a clean preemployment check (which I don't anticipate being an issue since I don't do drugs and I'm good at hiding bodies) I should be finally rejoining the workforce within the next couple of weeks. As of now I'm not sure what this will mean for my posting rate but I'll be sure to keep you updated as I learn more! :D

Joanna Whitehall |

As I said in Teldon's game, congrats!

Briana Kaddren |
Thanks everyone! And at one time I might've felt a little embarrassed to admit it but now I'll admit that if I ever won the lottery I'd totally be a Professional Pathfinder Player...and spend a lot of time on the beach...and probably play Pathfinder on the beach too :3
Hehe, more seriously though it's a hospital laboratory job much like my old one. Sadly it's only on an 'as needed' basis rather than full time but it's a start...and some places will work people 'as needed' a LOT since they don't have to pay benefits.

Joanna Whitehall |

Already made a post in your RotRL game, but allow me to say that I hope everything's okay and it's not too serious.

Teldon Moore |

Thank you for your concern. I took him to the hospital because he had some symptoms consistent with appendicitis but after several tests they determined it was just a stomach virus and after an IV to replenish his electrolytes he's feeling much better. I have to be up for work in 6 hours, though, so I'll post something tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Joanna Whitehall |

Glad to hear that. Take care of yourself and get some sleep. You deserve it after that scare.

Shadlah Broken-Earth |

Stiiiiill easing back; about to get my ganeplay post done. Teldon, take care of yourself first and foremost; I can't imagine how scary that must have been. Briana, great news on the job front!

Ziomarra Callinovo |

This didn't seem to make it into Inner Sea Gods, but back in the original deity articles in the back matter of the APs, clerics of specific deities had a handful of additional monsters they could summon with summon monster spells. The list for Desna was way back in Pathfinder #2 and written for OGL rules. It listed re-flavoring some monsters on the list as giant butterflies, and also added the lyrakien azata.
I was wondering if you would condider allowing Zee to summon a "celestial swallowtail butterfly" with stats as a giant bee (CR 1). This seems to be in-line with other creatures available on the summon monster ii list, and I think would be a whole lot more flavorful than the other creatures on the list.

GM Zed |

I don't know whether any of you have seen this?
Kickstarter for Legendary Games' "Trail of the Apprentice"
Something for Pathfinder parents - an age appropriate 'Adventure Path' with some simplified rules as well... I've got my eight year old who is an avid reader and loves playing games, but things like Carrion Hill and From Shore to Sea probably aren't so appropriate... I am hoping this is going to be a great entry point. I've backed and it's already funded so now it's really just a case of what else gets added to it...

Ziomarra Callinovo |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

I'm kind of kickstartered out right now. I just backed Sandy Petersen's Cthulhu Mythos for Pathfinder book, and I'm still waiting for Robert Brookes' Aethra Campaign Setting and Richard Pett's The Lost Lands: The Blight.

Briana Kaddren |
It definitely looks cool and I'm glad there's some effort to publish more content for younger/newer players!
@Arsith - Cool, enjoy your vacation! :)
@All - I start my new job on Monday and I'm also working to readjust my sleep schedule (normally an 8a-4p shift is no big deal but when you've slipped into night owl mode...) so my own posts might be a little shorter/sparser than normal this week until I get adjusted to my new schedule. Maintaining 1/day should still be no problem though :)

Shadlah Broken-Earth |

Sorry, guys. Life's been hectic, and I haven't been able to get to every game every day. I've been rotating. >.>

Ziomarra Callinovo |

Hey, folks.
Tomorrow, I'm heading to Washington DC for a few days. After tonight, I probably won't be making any posts longer than a line or two until Tuesday of next week.

Ziomarra Callinovo |

Well, it might have been quite a bit longer before my next post... I almost got arrested today!
Bonehead move #1: I forgot that in DC, entering just about any public building requires a security screening. I normally carry a Swiss Army knife and a Leatherman, and didn't think NOT to carry them as usual.
Consequently, I couldn't get through security screening at the National Archives Museum. Both of these tools have sentimental value, so I didn't want them to be confiscated. I asked the security guard what I should do, thinking that they may have some kind of item check system.
Bonehead move #2: Failing to recognize that the guard's reply of, "Well, you could go outside and hide them in a planter or something, then come back in," was NOT good advice.
Let's just say that I'm glad that the DC Metro police officer who challenged me with "SIR!! What did you just put in that planter?!" merely took my name, gave me back my knives, and let me off with a "OK, I'm not going to arrest you, but get the hell out of here!"
I obliged.
