Celena I have not been using non lethal as well you smited, and I do not feel that would work
The Gnoll screeches as he is burned, then his weapon slips from his grasp by kaldens magic. N'djamerna moves to try and bash the Gnoll, but has no better luck then before. Celena attacks Kadswann, but hits only his armor as Vrealk, grinning with goblin glee slices even more flesh from the Jann. Kadswann goes down in a gush of blood.
The Gnoll tries to flee but Haleen finishes it off as it runs toward the door.
Kadswann may be aliive, if barely so, but is no longer a threat. The battle market as well as the ruins of Kelmarane are now yours.
N'Djamena
"Let's tie him up, and then confront this Xulthus underneath the ruined church."
Turning to Haleen, he says, "Madam, I kindly greet you in the name of Nethys; your help was very welcome. My name is N'Djamena, what is yours? Do you know anything of this Xulthus?"
Any applicable Knowledge rolls to know about Xulthus? Also, N'Djamena casts Detect Magic on Kardswann and the gnoll's equipment.
Vrealk
Vrealk almost seems to have to hold himself back to keep from finishing off the genie. He stops grinning and backs off, then looks to his blades covered in blood. For a moment, he seems like he's about to lick the blade, then thinks better of it and wipes them off on the closest piece of cloth he can find lying around. He sheathes them both then starts looking himself over. He seems almost shocked (and more than a little proud) to find he didn't suffer a single scratch in the entire fight.
Keeper of Forbidden Lore
Haleen grins at N'djamerna " You can call me Haleen. I am just a mercanry passing though is all, Couldn't let Ayish here get herself into trouble alone now could I." She shrugs her shoulder "never heard that name before. Humm looks like you guys are kinda in charge now."
N'djamerna
You tie up Kadswann, who is still out of it, Almah has yet to be informed of the taking of the battle market, and the group had no way to get below the ruins last time you tried.
Keeper of Forbidden Lore
Assuming the all clear sign is given, Almah and the rest of her troops arrive with the hour. N'djamera winged friend arrives even before them, checking on her precious machine, as some of the humans inside the market decide to be elsewhere. The harpy grins at the cleric in a suggestive way. Upon seeing Kadswann tied yet alive she glances toward Celena before asking "Why is he not dead, dead would be better. Unless you intend to make it last, but dead now would be better. He is dangerous.'
Haleen takes Ayish aside "That is your employer coming I take it?, And look at you lady of adventure. But we have got to get you some better cloths." she says with a grin.
Before you have time to say much Else Almah has arrived, along with her guard.
N'Djamena
N'Djamena explains to the harpy, "Madam, I have reassurances from the gods themselves that Kardswann was once a loyal Templar; sadly, he has been possessed by some evil force. If it is written in Nethys's book of fate, we will overthrow the possessing spirit and restore his mind."
Celena Ashram
The harpy grins at the cleric in a suggestive way. Upon seeing Kadswann tied yet alive she glances toward Celena before asking "Why is he not dead, dead would be better. Unless you intend to make it last, but dead now would be better. He is dangerous.'
Celena shrugs "It may yet come to that." She says whilst cleaning the warhammer "but your boyfriend over there thinks he may be possesed and wants to try and help him. If that dosent work...." she lets the last bit trail off
Vrealk
Vrealk stays off to the side, a bit of a serious look on his face. He fishes out his pipe, a bit of tobacco, and lights it. He sits and seems a bit lost in thought as the others talk with their employer. He keeps his eyes on the genie every so often, though, keeping watch in case of any danger.
Markhet
Markhet disappears to explore once combat is over. More or less uninterested in manipulating more people for the time being she's now more interested in Almah's new acquisitions and how she can make money with them as well. The gnome happily explores the stalls, looking for the prime locations, and figuring out what, if anything, she'd be interested in selling.
"Markhet paid her dues" the gnome sings to herself as she explores, "Time after time, She has finished her sentence but committed no crime. And bad mistakes . . . Markhet has made a few, she had her share of sand kicked in her face But she has come through!
"We are the CHAMPIONS my Friends!" She hollers from somewhere downstairs, "And we'll keep on fighting - till the end! We are the champions - We are the champions, No time for losers, 'Cause we are the champions - of the Battlemart!"
Keeper of Forbidden Lore
Ah so Markhet is a bard now :)
Almah does great the group as her Guards clear out the battle market. She takes your report, looking worried over talk of the ruined church. "Yes, The church can wait a day or two if you need the time to rest. But I shall fill you in one what I know when you are ready. For now rest I'll have my people clear out the filth and guard that one." She says nodding toward Kadswann
"The harpy however,You made the deal with that creature. Make sure she stays in line"
You guys can take a day or two down time, if you need to heal up to full. Which should be enough time for finding all the loot, and seeing what it is. "
Markhet
I didn't suggest that Markhet was a good singer, just that she was singing. Course for a tinny thing she does get good acoustics.
When Almah inspects the battle mart Markhet and Larrs lie in wait for her: creeping out and following dangerously close to them till Markhet makes herself known as Almah speaks about Kadswann:
"Kadswann is possessed," Markhet points out to lady Almah, "and he says that it was something under the church. Markhet is no expert on these things but she thinks that it would be a great evil to take over a genie. Markhet thinks something that dangerous could hurt anyone here and Markhet also thinks that it's unlikely that something like that could have existed here without the pactmakers knowing about it. This one thinks there is something Lady Almah haven't told us. And Markhet is sad that after everything we've been through for her that the lady doesn't trust us yet."
Larrs looks disinterested with the conversation, and despite being a big scraggly 200lb teenage lion, Larrs looks more like big kitty at the moment.
The point of this exercise is two fold: 1) Markhet attempts to show Almah that she and Larrs are no threat to her and 2) show that Markhet is far smarter then she's let on in previous encounters.

Sorry wasn't OCC holding us up, sigh I am life's whipping boy often when it comes to machines of late sadly
A few days after the battle market is cleared and the town reclaimed Almah summons you. She greats you in what was once Kadaswanns chambers, but as far as you know the Jann lays chained and guarded in one of the rooms below.
"I thank you for what you have done so far, however you are not yet done, About twenty years ago,Kelmarane’s priests of Sarenrae fell under the sway of something… foul from the Great Beyond. ' She says giving you look of distaste
"This creature took control of the high priest and eventually turned the people of Kelmarane to madness.Soldiers of the Pactmasters pacifed the town, leaving it in ruin, but they were never able to root out the evil, and instead locked it in the crypt of the village church. Now, after all these years, that evil must have waned, and after what I have seen you accomplish you should be able to defeat it once and for all. I’ve been provided with an interdict key that will get you
through the seal under the ruined temple. With the final defeat of the fiend within, Kelmarane will truly be free.”
She looks to you all "Can I count upon you to cleanse this town of the vile influence that damned its people?'
Vrealk
"Yes, me was getting bored sitting around here. Only so many empty buildings to scout and me was getting low on pipe tobacco. 'Course, lots of snakes and rats and other filthy vermin to kill, so not all bad." Vrealk absent-mindedly plays with one of his daggers as he speaks, a glint in his eye as talks about killing vermin ...
Vrealk
"Er...of course. Killing rats and vermin is a very useful task. If you enjoy it, so much the better," N'Djamena adds, not quite knowing what to say to the vermin...er, goblin.
Vrealk's grin gets huge. "Yes, very useful. Keeps sick from spreading, and protects the food stores. And me loves it; especially the big ones! They give me good challenge!"
Keeper of Forbidden Lore
Sigh, sorry had and still have issues I pointed to in the ooc thread. But away we go
With the key in hand you make your way to the ruined church. Upon pressing the key into the doors seal, it glows a bright red, then the glow fades and the seal crumbles before your eyes, allowing you to easily push the door open reveling yet more stairs.
The stairs lead to a rounded stone-walled chamber with a featureless door in the north wall.A ten-foot-diameter circle of mortared stones at the center of the room marks a well that descends even deeper into the earth. Next to the well, on a small pedestal, rests a large golden gong worked with the symbolism and motifs of the church of Saranae. A short stick capped with a round pad of moldering leather dangles from a cord attached to the gong platform.
Keeper of Forbidden Lore
Both the door and the Gong have magical auras, the door shows as very strong Abjuration magic, the gong as faint abjuration and conjuration magic.
Ayish listens to the echo from the room, it seems off somehow to her, even the footfalls seems a bit off, and she slowly walks around the room hearing the bounce of their feet echos. The well, the echo is off because of the well. Looking into the well and she can barely spot what looks to be a cress. The wells bottom is not as solid as it looks, it is more a cover she would guess, then a solid bottom.
Keeper of Forbidden Lore
Vrealk can see no traps upon the Door, but it does seem well made, thick and set deep into the wall. He sees no handholds with the door at all.
Also on the "well" it looks more decorative then anything and the bottom is just 10 feet down, ayish however feels like the echo is wrong for such a short well.
