Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Of course Ayish will trust her brother. :)

The Exchange

Sounds like a plan to me.

Larrs and Markhet jump across the river while everyone else is talking

GM

Where do celena and vrealk fit into the plan as they are kinda short?

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk's light; anyone wanna carry him? ;-)

Male Human Cleric 5

Vrealk can ride on N'Djamena's shoulders and Celena can ride on Mahmood's. Or Vrealk can take his chances jumping from rock to rock like Markhet is.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk doesn't have a large lion to ride like Markhet, and so when N'Djamena offers to let him ride on his shoulders, Vrealk happily accepts. "Thank you, friend-N'Djamena! Me has been in sewers before, but never see big river like this before. Me not sure I could cross it myself." He scrambles up on the priest's shoulders, and does his best to remain still while he crosses the water.

Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena seems mildly disgusted to have a goblin clutching him, but he keeps his mouth shut.

The Exchange

Mamood can carry Celena if she wishes.

GM

Markhet and Larrs wait on the sandy riverbank as the others start across the riverNeed a DC15 STR check from you all to move With Celena being carried by Mamood and a grinning Vrealk being carried on an unhappy N'Djamena's shoulders.

Markhet

Spoiler:
You see a movement as if something is moving below the muddy bankYou may act in the surprise round

Suddenly there is a shrill call of "ket! ket!" As the muddy sand around Market Moves with a spray of arrows as mud covered goblins swarm from the earth with laughter. Arrows pepper larrs and Markhet 2hp and 6 hp

Goblin

Spoiler:
Now, now!

Mamood Strength check 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

Larrs does a partial charge and attacks the nearest Goblin on the right.

Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 5 = 15
Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

"You nasties!" Markhet snarls, "Why'd you attack Markhet and Larrs?"

GM

Market also gets an action in the surprise round but larrs does not

Markhet casts guidance on Larrs

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Str Check:1d20 - 2 ⇒ (2) - 2 = 0

Plus any bonuses form having help. *bows*

Looks like Ayish is going to win the wet silk t-shirt competition. :P

Male Human Cleric 5

Str check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

"Ah, an ambuscado! What Nethys has written, no man may know. But may your strength guide us through this ordeal!"

N'Djamena grits his teeth and tries to forge his way through the water as quickly as possible.

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena trys to goad Mamood into going faster

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

From N'Djamena's back, Vrealk draws his dagger and shouts:

goblin

Spoiler:
"Brothers! Why are you attacking me and my friends?!

OK, not sure if this'll work or not, but Vrealk will hold his overall action until after N'Djamena has moved as far as he can go. After drawing his dagger, he'll try and stand and leap the rest of the way to the shore, between the west group of goblins and Markhet.

Not sure how many Acrobatics checks that is, so here's two (guessing one to stand on N'Djamena's shoulders, the other to jump):

acrobatics 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 181d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30

EDIT: and nails the landing! Wow, is that a 10.0?

EDIT 2: the second roll is good enough to jump 15' without a running start; whether or not I can draw my weapon and stand up as one move action is a little unclear to me though. If I can't, then this round I'll stand and leap, and draw my dagger at the start of the next round.

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

"Eeek! GLUB!" As Ayish stumbles and slips in the rivers current.

Swim check? With help because of the rope?

Swim Check:1d20 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 1 = 14

GM

Sorry for the skipped day folks

Ayish goes under the swift water, she tries to swim but can not keep her head above the water, lucky the rope keeps her from being swept away. Larrs leaps at one of the goblins, Mamood and Celena moves closer toward the bansk with N'djamena and Vrealk close behind,Xerzayas stops to pulls his sister from the water.

On the bank the wounded goblin backs away and all six fire into Larrs 11hp

??? How are you casting Summon Monster III?

The Exchange

[ooc]It's in the statblock page for SM I creatures. I'll summon a horse instead (str 13)

Actually, seeing as Larrs didn't get to make an attack last round Markhet will steer him around the goblins so he threatens all of them.

Larrs attacks: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Larrs damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Markhet casts Cure Light Wounds on Larrs: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

GM

Ok anyone else like to post? I will be updating this later. Also Larrs did get an action last round. You posted one for him I used it, he did not get to act in the surprise round. Also x that would be a pony ya summoned

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Depends is Celena close enough to get down without ending up in the river?

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

I'm waiting to get close enough to make my leap. While I'm waiting, I'll draw my dagger so that it's ready.

GM

And forward we go

Ayish struggles in the water, unable to fight the river and as Markhet heals Larrs. The lion then moves and attacks the goblins, but misses the fast goblin. Xerxzayas calls forth on his power to summon a pony then helps his sister stand.N'Djamena sloshes forward but makes little progress with the river. Mamood however closes within feet of the bank. Celena starts to climb down getting ready for him to reach the bank.

The goblin however are not waiting and three open fire at Mamood and Celena, the Gnome taking an arrow1hp while the other three back away and fire at the lion.5hp

Pony strength check to aid Ayish 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12

Female Suli Bard 3/ Wizard 2

Ayish grits her teeth and does her best to both hold onto the pony and move across the river.

Str Check:1d20 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (7) - 1 + 2 = 8(I assume with the help of freinds?)

And not much progress is being made, wither...:/

Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena keeps moving against the vicious current.

Str 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena jumps from Mammond the moment he is in range of the river bank and immediately moves to engage one of the goblins

Doubt Ill have the movement to get in and attack but please correct me if I'm wrong

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

keeping the same action plan

GM

Ayish struggles in the water to mount the pony but has little luck. The pony does give her something to hold and Xerzayas loops his sisters rope around the pony and moves forward, the pony moves forward, dragging ayish though the river as she struggles to keep her head above water. Larrs strikes at one of his attackers as Markhet casts guidance on him.
N'djamena surges forward across the river, Vrealk now 10 feet from the bank leaps at the goblins stabbing his foe3hp

Then Mamood with Celena hits the bank, the Gnome charges one goblin drooping it to the dirt with a smashed head as Mamood moves to attack the other three, but is unable to land a blow

The goblins start to run, one firing at larrs and missing as another takes a shot at Vrealk3hp. The three on the left move away from the bank, firing at Mamood one landing a hit1hp

Had Vrealk's leap count as a charge, I had Celena attack as well as Mamood

Str Roll:1d20 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (14) - 1 + 2 = 15 (Assistance from Pony and the rope, etc)

Ayish doe not wail, nor moan, nor grumble. She set her jaw firm and does her very best to stay with the pony and get to the fight.

Male Human Cleric 5

A successful Str check allows you to move 1/3 of your speed? That totally sucks...

N'Djamena keeps trying to plod along.

Str: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

The Exchange

X continues to move across the river. He keeps close to his sister and the pony just in case. Meanwhile, now that Mamood is on the bank, he runs at the middle of the three goblins firing into the melee.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

Vrealk lashes out at the goblin closest to him.

attack 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
damage 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

GM

Ya guys are moving half with a successful check really.

Ayish is staying above water as the pony prods along, her brother close behind. Larrs and Markhet charge at the Goblin fleeing right and the lion brings him down with a mighty bit. N'djamena struggles though the water with little headway As Vrealk slashes and misses his foe. Mamood charges the middle of the goblins on the left but the goblin manages to evade him. Celena however charges along the field to Mamoods right smashing in the head of one of the goblins.

With the tide turning the unengaged Goblin brakes and runs, The one mamood faces tried to do the same Mamood tried to swipe the running goblin but fear makes him a fast oneBoth are running so moved 120feet

The last one all alone facing Vrealk steps back and fires at the other goblin but the arrow barely misses vrealk

Ok 2 are off my map, but ya may try to run em down if ya like

Then N'Djamena should probably be across by now since he took off his armor earlier. Of course, that may mean that he just might die sooner...

The Exchange

X silently speaks with his companion and Mamood begins to return to his side.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

"You give goblins a bad name!" Vrealk curses, in both Common and Goblin. He attacks again with his dagger.

attack 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
damage 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

"Markhet doesn't appreciate being attacked!" the tiny gnome snaps, "Larrs doesn't either! Markhet thinks these goblins are very stupid! Why attack a lion? Markhet is very angry right now!"

Markhet decides against giving chase and rejoins the others, tossing a rope tied to Larrs' saddle if necessary to help with the crossing.

Male Human Cleric 5

N'Djamena rushes forward and draws his mace.

GM

The others struggle to the bank as Vrealk kills the last of the Goblins who have not fled.

Searching the four dead goblins you find, 4 sets of leather armor, 4 light wood shields, 4 short swords, four short bows and a total of 64 arrows. And a fine brown cloakAll small sized along with a few shinny rocks some small animal skulls and 13 sp and 5 cp

1 of the leather armors are masterwork,One of the shields are MW. One of the bow is a MW compost short bow{12 str} and the cloak is magical

Female Gnome Paladin 5

Celena will take the M'shortbow if no one else minds her doing so.

Male Goblin Fighter 1 / Rogue 4

hmmm ... Vrealk has the Str to use it, also, and on top of that has no real ranged weapon after losing his crossbow to the pugs. I guess I'll at least take one of the regular bows, if Celena grabs the masterwork one. She may get some glares from him, though! ;-)

The Exchange

Detect Magic on the items.
