Gramlag |
Eager to hear what Saul has to say Gramlag follows with his gear on expecting to be told they are headed somewhere that is likly dangerous. He looks to the others and hopes they are equally as ready before asking Saul what the plan is "So whats the goin ons that will be happenin this evenin? i see that we are closed for buisness so it must be important. While i am agenst personal vengance I dont like others thinkin they can pick on us any time they please so i hope this will get some monkeys off our back"
DM Tuyena |
Saul looks around the group, "Well my favorite biters. I've just received word from Ziphas that after last night's failed raid, the crime lords have called an emergency meeting down at the spar."
"We used to use the spar as a drop point for drugs and hostages due to its seclusion. It's out in the marshes around Riddleport. I want you all to go and crash this meeting. Leave Ziphas and Padomae untouched, I have no quarrel with them. But bring me back Zlincher and Croat. Preferably alive, but if they put up a fight, you know what to do."
"The usual approach to the spar is from the west, so I recommend approaching from the east to avoid being spotted."
"Gather your things together and leave within the hour, the meeting will begin as soon as night falls."

Ternock |
Ternock flaps his wings and smiles.
I hear the war drums pounding already! Are they going to actually attack us with monkeys? If so, I hope their not the ones with golden hair, heard they were trouble... But if we do fight monkeys of the golden hair variety, can I eat said monkey?... Never mind, no need to answer, for you don't get a say in it! Now, must listen to Sauls big plan that will surely involve not being in the "business" anymore, but clearly is. Perhaps ill grab a mead while i'm at the bar.
Ternock cocks his head to the bar suddenly and yells!
LAURER! GET A MEAD READY!!! IMMA COMING!!!
With that Ternock takes to the air and zooms to the bar!
DM Tuyena |
"I would suggest trying to sneak closely if you can to hopefully make out who is whom. The spar is dark, there won't be much light, use that to your advantage."
"Barring that, neither Ziphas nor Padomae should attempt to fight back unless threatened themselves. So go for the two who try to run you through if you're spotted."

Lilica Fancygirl |
Lilica would purse her lips some when she heard Saul's plan. She didn't like a move like that. After all, Zlincher and the others were definitely major crime bosses, and not entirely stupid. The idea of attacking them while they were all on neutral ground was... troublesome, to say the least. Almost doubly so, considering Padome was there. This whole game with Saul was a nice diversion, but Lilica still had to deal with the religion of Riddleport once he was gone. And there was no way that was going to get a good move on if she got on Padome's wrong side.
"Saul," the Elf would say, a slight tone of worry in her voice. "You're telling us that you want us to go to a presumably very well guarded meeting where all the crime bosses have gathered, in neutral territory, so that we can knock out or kill two of those crime lords in front of the others? And then we just merrily stroll out again?
"Don't get me wrong," Lilica would say, her tone wary. "I dislike Zlincher as much as anyone here. But I believe it would be far more prudent to simply wait the others out. So long as we show a strong face and make examples of those who want to meddle in our affairs, I remain certain that we can make it so that the others don't wish to intrude upon us anymore."
DM Tuyena |
"I'm sorry miss Lilica, I was under the impression I was speaking to a biter, not a scared whore."
"I never promised easy work, I only promised work."
"We have an opportunity here to be rid of both Zlincher and Croat at their most vulnerable, and we're going to act on it. If you don't feel up to it, the door back to the brothel is that way. "

Lilica Fancygirl |
Lilica eyes would narrow for a moment as she glared at Saul, a frown coming to her face as she did so.
"Fine then," she would spit out, the anger in her voice obvious. "I'll go. But I have one little question for you first. How are Orik and Verik doing?"
Ternock |
Through a fit of laughter Ternock comes whilst he was downing some mead at Sauls response to Lilica. "Choke" hehe "cough" ahahaha
Slowly he begins to breath normally again.
In other words you need someone to stab someone to sleep, stealthly, who isnt worried about the darkness he can find thier? Seems like a match made in heaven for me, huh?
Gramlag |
Gramlag agrees with Sauls assessment that striking while your opponents are outside their power base is the best time and tries to calm Lilica as best he can "I agree lass the task will be fraught with danger but i promise ye on me dwarven bones that if you have my back ill keep yours safe too ok? If we cant finish the job tonight we will at least show them that we arnt scared and that they can expect us to fight to keep whats ours."
Ternock |
Well I carry everything on me so I'm set to go, though if it's an ambush we are planing... I believe we should take a page from the time that most of us first met. Remember our first meeting? That blinding flash that I could even see from inside a backpack. I believe we should put some gold twards that spell, be it in wand or scroll form. Or since its a marshy place a web spell may also prove useful. Plenty of anchor points. Above all we need a way to transport the hopefully alive bodies back. So some rope and perhaps a sled of sorts, a cart would probably get stuck.
Ternock looks about the group for an approving nod the continues.
Saul are their any defining features of either Croat or Zlincher? Or even Ziphas for that matter, just to make sure we avoid any... unwanted misunderstandings.
Ternock stretches his tail and arcs his back like a cat.
I do believe the best way to end this quickly is get me a clear shot of Zlincher and Croat. And hope my poison takes them quickly. Either way I prefer not to be surrounded after the attack succeed or fail.
Volk Tulmere |
Volk places his hand on Lilica's shoulder and have a blank but innocent face. " I think I know why you are upset Miss Lilica, but I think that its best when you smile than when you are angry like this. I do not think you are a.. whore. I think you are Miss Lilica and I like Miss Lilica when she is not upset. We will do as Mr. Saul says and Im sure you will feel better in the end. There will be plenty of throats to crush and people to hurt. " He makes a truthful but terrible attempt to comfort her. He heard that this often worked.
" I know.. if you can calm down, I can buy you some chocolate.. or perhaps something else? I am terrible at this but I heard gifts are what you try if your friends are upset. " He gives the offer.
Then he turns to the group, on further inspection his eyes seem more gloomy and deep-set. " The mission seems easy enough go in an kill them at the weak point. Or not Kill them.. a show of... strength? Either ay.. I am ready. I don't exactly use much. "
Sabola |
In our home group we have a running gag of "aren't all dwarves clerics" and "aren't all clerics dwarves." So much so that no matter what race the cleric is, we use a dwarf figuring to represent him/her on the grid. Anyways... let's go get in a fight!
Gramlag |
Seeing that the meeting is clearly at a close Gramlag moves towards his room "If there is nothin else Saul ill just be grabin me things, lets get this show on the road lads! Anyone needes some heavy liftin you know where to find me"
Gramlag moves off for his room and is a few minutes while he gears up and gathers his things. Making his way out of his room he looks like he spent alot of time careing for his gear last night after the fight as its practically brand new and his shields look the same. "I take pride in me armor, made it meself, anyone have any second thoughts or shal we be off?"
DM Tuyena |
Ok I think we'll move on to the spar.
The trip through the marshes to the spar takes sometime. But finally you're in the vicinity of the area marked on Sauls map.
8d20 ⇒ (6, 17, 12, 19, 3, 18, 7, 14) = 96
8d20 ⇒ (14, 9, 5, 4, 7, 7, 3, 17) = 66
8d20 ⇒ (11, 5, 11, 1, 5, 20, 18, 20) = 91
Lilica can tell that while Saul was probably right about saying the way he recommended wouldn't be expected as it wasn't the usual route to the spar; this was mainly because that entrance to the area was fairly deep water, and would require one to swim.
Does the party want to approach from Sauls direction, or the regular one?

Ternock |
Ternock will look at Gramlag, it seems no one had heard him speak.
I got to stop by the alchemy shop, but it shouldn't take more than a minute or two.
I just got home GM!
DM Tuyena |
[ooc]You can, but there are pretty much only two routes into the spar, since it has a number of large Hills surrounding it that are packed with briars.
So your options basically come down to East, which involves swimming. Or West, which is the usual entrance and is more likely to be watched.

Does anyone have rope... like I said we should have gotten, cause then I can fly over and tie it off on a tree over on the other side and you can use it to keep your heads above water without fail.
Ternock |
Volk will get some rope if need be and instead of wading will make walls for people to stand on like a bridge until they get close.
This guy... right here...
Volk Tulmere |
How did you think he drowned that man underwater, you forgot he made a path with his walls and then a basic tunnel down to torture/drown him in relative safety?
