You guys see out of the corner of your eyes a ghostly figure of a women floating just to the right of the group. It was brief. She vanishes just as you notice her. One distinguishing feature is that her neck appeared to be broken and her head was laying on her shoulder.
You all hear an eerie voice coming from all around. "It hurts.....it hurts.....WHY!"

Jivaji: 6 :p
Joe: 15
Eltumal: 9
Silent: 21
Tam: 18
Eltumal and Jivaji are now frightened. Oh that reminds me, all the other conditions with the exception of fatigue are no longer in affect.
There is an opening here to prepare or run.

Joe "Mac" MacGillicuddy |

Seeing the broken ghost, Joe can't help but feel sorry for it. "Hey ghost lady!" He calls out as he looks all around. "Maybe we can help ya with your hurt! If ya tell us what happened to ya, maybe we can figur' out a way to fix ya! You can talk to us, we'll help ya if we can!" He looks to the others shrugging. "Can't hurt. Maybe there's a way to fix a ghost." He returns to looking around to see if the ghost responds.
Diplomacy: 1d20 ⇒ 11

Jivaji Varesh |

Nice rolls! >:[
Jivaji had just located the magic powder and was on the way back before the wailing pierces his soul and leaves him shaking. "Heh, ok, guys, GUYS? I don't think we can help. I think.. Yes I think we should leave. IS ANYONE LISTENING? We should go!" Jivaji swallows hard, hoping everyone heard him, and thought his plan sound.

Joe "Mac" MacGillicuddy |

Joe shrugs. "Well alright. It don't look like it's gonna tell me how to fix it anyhow. And I don't really know how to kill somethin' that ain't got nothin' to it." He turns to Tam and Silent. "Unless one of you fellas know how to kill it. Otherwise, we might as well get on outta here."

Shanosuke |

You all are much faster than the revenant and are able to escape.
Later you arrive at the hut in the previous manner as before.
As you approach, you spot several large traps. Inside one of the windows you see what looks to be a rainbow patterned Kobold pacing about in the place. Odd part is that the traps around the place are large, elaborate, and painfully obvious. You can approach the hut and knock or continue lurking.

Jivaji Varesh |

Jivaji squints his eyes and stares at the kobold, scratching his feathery pate.
Unable to decifer a word he's saying, he merely shrugs again.
"I mean I expected him to be startled, not upset. Why would he be upset with us? Unless..."
Jivaji snaps his beak shut, thinking that the noise he made caused the reaction.
"I wonder if these traps have anything to do with it."
Jivaji then kneels down close to the nearest trap to inspect it and hopefully discern its purpose.
Perception 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Survival? 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Kn: Nature? 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

Eltumal Woodsoul |

Sorry, about that. I didn't see the Draconic tag.
"Jivaji, come back for a second. He seems pretty pissed. I'll try and talk with him, to see if we can get some shelter, or at least have him not, as he says, 'cut us'."

Shanosuke |

"Hmmm yeah those Tyrants are quite the oversized pests aren't they. Well those monster wont be knockin down ma home. I won't lettem. See em bones over dere. Once such Tyrant came here and got himself stuck den I okie doked im a good one. Teach em not to come prodin around here. So, what brings you lot to ma home huh?"

Eltumal Woodsoul |

It's working! :D
"It's a highly intricate form of throat modulation. Takes a while to learn."

Shanosuke |

"Meh. You seem a useless lot. Come inside. An don't step in ma traps, they fer tyrants, like the one dat destroyed your home."
The white kobold waves his hand in a manner that suggests he is beckoning you to come. He then turns towards his hut and begins to make his way inside leaving the door open behind him.

Shanosuke |

The roof to the hut is barely over 4 feet high. Tam can move about comfortably but the rest of you are horribly hunched or crawling. The Kobold is moving about "cleaning" the place it seems.
"Don't mind the mess. I wasn't expectin company. Don't touch anythin wit out ma say so er Imma gonna stick ya good. Fine a place ta sit an stay. I bring food in a moment."
The place is adorned with unholy symbols and relics. You also see several well crafted items. Using detect magic you will notice this little dude has a LOT of magic items.

Eltumal Woodsoul |

"Right now, I'm just trying to stay on his good side. I'm not entirely sure how he'd take an offering from one of us. As soon as i get more comfortable with our position, I may offer him something."

Shanosuke |

Sorry about the wait. Got sick again and could only really make a couple of posts a day. Also, my day to day work load has increased a tad. I may need to cut some campaigns. It feels like I only have two people playing in this thread now. I just need a shout out from you folks, who is still here and enjoying the campaign. Be honest on both. In the meantime, I will keep this going. If everyone is still with it and enjoying it, I'll keep it going.
The kobold brings out three entrees and a plate for each of you. Aside from the tasty looking platter of meat, the other two dishes don't look particularly appetizing.
"Here we have some of me finest dishes. First we have Mugworm stew, followed by raptor flanks, and for desert, Leeches and Cream. Enjoy."
When asked about his trophies he gives the best kobold smile he can.
"Almost all of them come from tribal folks. I have fought to defend my home from many an invader. I gave em all whats for an I'm still here too. You the first to not shoot first an ask questions later. That's a good thing. Cause now I got someone I don'ts hafta Wika pick wit ma stick. Non dese tings have an fancy story except for the staff of dragons which I stole from my old clan near a hundred years ago. Day didn like dat too much at all. Kind funny. Occasionally dey sends their best to recover it but I always swatsem befer day can. You got any neat stories?"

Eltumal Woodsoul |

I'm still interested. I think it's mostly probably because I'm the only one that speaks Draconic that nobody is really posting right now.
Pointing to each dish, in order: " This is Mugworm Stew, followed by Raptor flanks, and finally, leeches and cream. I'm going to try a bit of each, to flatter him. Have whatever you will."
After helping himself to some of each, and in turn eating a bite or two of each dish, Eltumal continues talking to the kobold, pointing to his clipped ear.

Jivaji Varesh |

Jivaji is no stranger to the odd things that one must eat to survive, whether on the streets or in the wilderness. He eagerly helps himself to a healthy serving of each. If anything tastes odd or feels weird in his beak, he doesn't seem to show it.
He pauses long enough to ask Eltumal how to thank the kobold in draconic. After making sure his gullet is clear, he echoes Eltumal's words back to the kobold host.
I think Eltumal's right. It's just running a bit slow because there's only one person speaking draconic. The long delays don't help either, every time I check for updates, there's more and more time between checking. I'm not blaming you of course, you've got stuff going on and it's as simple as that. I think I mentioned earlier that the previous encounter was pretty great? I think we're all good here :)

Shanosuke |

Sorry about the delays. I try and wait to see how many people post but you are right, since you are the only one who speaks draconic, I shouldn't expect much from the others.
The kobold nods seemingly pleased.
"He what ye like youngins, it be a long time since I have guest who don't wish to kill me. Very annoying.

Shanosuke |

Sorry for the delay. Back to back shifts. Then we have Skyrim come out. So yeah sorry bout that.
The kobold seems surprised and then leans in and asks Eltumal.
"What kinda repayin er we talkin? Ya see I gotsa thorn in ma side. I useta be apart of a tribe of kobolds. The council of sorcerers said I dun lost my mind an am no use. Can ye off'em fer me?"

Eltumal Woodsoul |

Eltumal's face suddenly straighten's as opposed to the lighthearted visage previously adorning his face.
"Not sure what to make of this, guys. As a bit of repayment, he wants us to go and take out what he called the "Council of Sorcerers" from his old tribe. They're the ones that exiled him, because, in his own words describing the reason, 'The council of sorcerers said I dun lost my mind an am no use'. Thoughts, anyone?"

Jivaji Varesh |

Jivaji turns a perplexed face to Eltumal "Perhaps we can offer some sort of counter-offer. It is clear that he is quite useful. Perhaps if we attempt to be the arbiter of his disagreement, and work out some compromise in his behalf? We would need to find out exactly what it is he wants out of such an arrangement though."
