You know that Logem will create some of the infamous Bad Things of the Deeps. Like "Cherryblossom the Rotting Fields of Ice, weremule."
We shall all know the power of a mule's true glory.

XD We'll see.
Anyhoo, have you guys been keeping tabs on the Pathfinder Online game that Paizo/Goblinworks are working on? Aboot a week ago they posted an awesome work-in-progress video of it.. its looking AMAZING. I've been keeping tabs on it off and on since the Kickstarter for it, though sadly I didn't have the money to donate at the time.
Pathfinder Online Work In Progress
We should totally make an All-Dwarf settlement when it comes out. >:)

I had a lot of trouble with that last post. A little writers block and I kept redoing it. Then I had to alter it when I may have failed. Hmm.
Someone needs to aid other on Dakún. If I am bumped up 1 point to 15 we will have the three success we need.
EDIT: Please don't tell me everyone already went and no one aided other? I thought we were going to have someone help out there?
Ut oh.
EDIT II: Stupid dice-roller, hates my characters in Rob's game. My other characters don't have this issue. Grumble, grumble, grumble.

Congratulations! While at great cost, Vigar's death was not in vain and Logem with Dwunderbran's help was able to slay the Arcadian kraken!
However, you're nt out of the woods yet. You still need to meet the total successes for "The Better Part of Valor," and you have three team members in the water. Rogath failed his "leap of faith" check and both Logem and Dwunderbran are left stranded on Flotsam after their impossible victory.
Note: Since Angrim said he was trying to fish out a PC before he even knew he could (clever!) I'll allow Rogath to have been rescued if that is what both players want. Otherwise someone else was saved with Angrim's earlier post.
Dwunderbran, Logem and Rogath (if he is not rescued by Angrim's check) now have access to a new skill check:
SINK OR SWIM (Swim, Survival, or Fortitude Save DC 15)
All of the ships have sank and the Arcadian ocean is looking to claim another victim into its murky depths. Hold out hope, stay afloat, and perhaps you will be saved.
Result: A successful check means you manage to stay afloat on the choppy ocean. If you fail this check you sink beneath the waves and begin to drown.
All three overboard dwarves can potentially be saved by a successful FROM THE JAWS OF DEATH check.
Note; With the kraken dead, you may now take a 10 on the skill-challenge checks.
Available Skill Challenges: Everything that isn't nailed down, from the jaws of death, sink or swim, the better part of valor

Oh wow, +1 mental stat, that is a great boon. I am assuming CHA is on the list? Or did you just intend for it to be Int or Wis? Also who gets it? Only PC's or can Cherryblossom become INT 3? (hence taking the first step towards mule domanation?) as well as any other NPC's who survived?

Maven Brewbane |

mental stats usually includes the 3, in my experience. Having the mule get humanlike intelligence out of the blue, though, that's a little worrying. It'll learn our language and start having arguments with Komainu, which I'm sure will be comedy gold, but then it'll start mouthing off to Dwunderbran and get cooked.
Think twice, lol.

Angrin Thronebearer |

I am happy to save Rogath. xD
EDIT:

That answer your question, Dagún?

Mineko Yamauchi |

@Lucent: Would you allow me to dismiss Komainu-Kun and summon a dolphin? The dolphin has a +13 to swim. I could use it to save a dwarf. (though it won't be the "good" doctor. I'm afraid that Mineko has seen through his guise.

Dakún Rabbúhamash |

Robert - Do we need to wait for survivors (Rogath, Logem, and Dwunderbran) to make their check for sink or swim before we can attempt to make a From the Jaws of Death check to rescue them?
Quint - Do you want to finish off the Better part of Valor? The death of the Kraken increased my character's intelligence to 14, bringing along with it new knowledge - I thought selecting swimming made sense as I am viewing it as receiving some of the Krakens knowledge as well.
If we are able to take 10 I can successfully pull off a From the Jaws of Death check (since I don't have to leave my fate to the spiteful dice-roller) or Everything not nailed down check, as well as Better part of Valor.

Specifically says PC's, sadly. Though, I wonder if Eidolons/Familiars count towards it, since they're an extension of the PCs?
Also, I'm putting my +1 into Intellect, just as a reference, Rob. Dunno if you wanted us to declare that so you know which one or not.

Int, Wis and Cha are options; PCs only for this, that also excludes familiars and eidolons.

If you could just let me know which stat you're bumping up that'd be helpful, mostly so I can make sure nobody forgets to apply the boon.

Mineko Yamauchi |

@Lucent: I put my +1 into CHA. No additional bonus at this time, but it will make a difference at level four. Still a Dwarf with 17CHA is pretty impressive.

Dwunderbran Vulgarbeard |

Good, good. Now Dwunderbran can tell everyone all about that time that his hardy companions cheered him on while he single handedly destroyed a kraken.
+1 Int here. Opens up Combat Expertise down the road for me if I decide to pick up some combat maneuver goodies.
Also, and especially owing to the new Take 10 capacity, I'll remind everyone that Dwunderbran is an accomplished sailor/pirate.

Quint Bonechisel |

Man, hard decision. Could have gone for a +1 Wis, but all that would have gotten me is a bit better perception and +1 Will. Think I'll invest in Int actually... Can't get me enough of those skills (most of which are Int based :)), just need another two levels...

Yeah, Quint'll lead the way :p Dibbs first dwarf to set foot on land!

Dr. Logem, Ph.Dwarf |

Back when I was running a Skull and Shackles campaign with some real life friends, we had a Dwarven Witch with an octopus familiar (Kept in a bucket of salt water on the dwarf's back), who cackled constantly and used his 10ft beard to both climb and swim with. You know, since the beard let him use his intelligence in place of his strength..
He also had 5 charisma and a peg leg. This same dwarf was used in a short homebrew campaign (He ended up bringing him back for that S&S campaign, which happened after the homebrew), where he was strangling a half-orc with his beard, flying ~200 feet up in the air while singing "I can show you the world", before dropping the guy to his doom.
Best. Dwarf. Ever.

Angrin Thronebearer |

Says the cleric. >_>;;
Quint, you think we need a cleric of Gorum? We have Dwunderbran - We don't need anyone else! :D
EDIT: Gorum and Droskar, eh... Hm. Well, I'm glad to meet a few duergar, assuming they are the touch of Droskar...
Also: What happened to dwarves who came up in Arcadia? Were there any? I wonder if we shall meet some.

Dwunderbran Vulgarbeard |

I'm sure the Ulfen presence in Valenhall has Gorum covered in spades. Dwunderbran is going to convert to Desna, and then force the skraelings to similar conversion under threat of stench and axe.

Angrin Thronebearer |

Nah, I think I should grab a level of druid as I convert to whatever it is they worship. Which hopefully isn't the Four Horsemen, the archdevils, or demon lords.
EDIT: On second thought, if we're really desperate for healing, I can grab a level of divine caster (other than Oracle) now that my wisdom's been more enhanced. So if we're desperate... xD
