Camillo will head toward the double doors, drawing his sword, cautiously scouting ahead of the rest of the group. He won't step back into the foyer until the rest of the group joins him. In the meantime, he will watch and listen for goblin-type company coming in.

I wasn't thinking this through. Kithian has already led the horse through the foyer, so Camillo would have moved out with him and has taken up a position by the double doors (which I believe we left open). That may be what everyone but me was already thinking, but to make sure - is everyone cool with us taking up positions by the double doors in the foyer? Or are you expecting us to be somewhere else?

Orik does lead you to the double doors off the main entrance, noting the is a hallway to the chief's hall. Camillo does recall opening those doors but they are closed now...

Camillo
Kithian
Kerrec
Rullis
Goblins
Vidar
Orik
Map HERE Note that after the second doors the room opens more to the right but you cannot see that currently.
Toshio offers his count and opens the door as a scene of chaos erupts. Goblins, ready for the breach and the group ready to breach react on pure instinct and training. From the room beyond, moving like the wind, a bloodied and injured Shalelu throws herself onto one of the goblins waiting to attack the group. Her armor has been stripped and her body has been badly abused. Despite this her face, covered in a mask of blood, conveys only fury as she plunges a dagger into the spine of her floored prey. She lets out a guttural cry of hatred and turns to the taken aback commando's in the hallway and then promptly passes out.
3 commandos remain in the hall and two beyond in the main room. A warchanter much like those that came during the assault on Sandpoint stands poised to inspire its allies for the fight to come.
I am not "charging" Toshio the MA to open the door. He starts the round with full actions and the group can commit in order, your readied actions can be ignored.

Toshio, Seeing an bit of space yet not wishing to block the archers shot changes tactic on the fly.
He drops his katana, Draws his ShortbowMove action and fires at goblin 'a'Standard he then takes a knee so that Vidar behind him has a unimpeided shot as wellGM call on whether taking a knee is 'prone' or not. Happy to accept that if required. I wanna prevent my archer getting melee'd.

Because Toshio is not in melee he certainly isn't impeding LOS, the assumption being that he does things like taking knees to let archers shoot. I certainly won't rule you are prone, it is easy and makes sense to stand when charged rather than be "on your ass" as prone tends to be.
Toshio will drop A, Cam does not drop B FYI

Heh. Why does that matter? :-p Whoops!
Other than a staff the Warchanter appears unarmed. The rest have bladed weapons sheathed and bows pulled. They had readied to shoot but you guys went first, mostly, and the whole "Shalelu making crazy Perception and Escape checks thing sorta threw them off. So on their init they can fire but it looks like it will be into melee with Kitian or they will need to advance and pull weapons.

Normally I don't like doing this, but since we are in a narrow hallway where we need to fight in melee and there is a spellcaster and several archers in the back that are gonna make pincushions of us otherwise...
Rullis moves up past Kerrec as he fires, taking the spot Kithian vacated. As he does so, he yells out, "Press forward, I'll give cover!" He stops and chants while the goblins are momentarily distracted by Shalelu act of bravery. Suddenly, the room fills with a thick mist surrounding everything and everyone. You can barely see in front of you, let alone the enemy archers on the other side.
Cast Obsuring Mist - 20 foot radius mist that is centered on Rullis, so it extends 5 feet beyond the back double doors. Lasts 2 minutes (or until I dismiss it).
Vapor obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 5 feet while in the mist. Creatures 5 feet away have concealment (20% miss chance). Creatures farther away have total concealment (50% miss chance) and cannot use sight to locate the target.
While this somewhat hinders us (gives melee fighters 20% miss chance), I hope to hinder them more and maybe we can get Shalelu out of harms way while under cover. Some people really hate this spell, so hopefully this works out.

A nice use of the spell. A and I'm guessing B are down, C is crapping himself and you nullified their use of bows, which means C has to draw and melee Kithan or take an AOO to.get to Toshio OR run away.
Really you just gotta give Vidar a cookie cause he's probably gonna be mad.

We had a long and harrowing fight on a ship's deck when an ally was dominated and the druid cast obscuring mist so he couldn't find the rogue that he was dead-set on killing. Good times.

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 221d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
The front line goblins fall. One to an arrow in the throat, the other to a crushing blow to its skull as it grasps its abdomen in pain from that arrow that met it a mere moment before. Kerrec's bolt flies to the next goblin (C) and though the bolt barely grazes the goblin the hiss and sizzle of electricity causes the goblin to shriek in pain.
Rullis moves forward, his hands moving steadily to the chanting from his lips as mist fills the room as if from nowhere. Torches sputter at the sudden moisture in the air and light spells cast their shallow unearthly light in white orbs in the mist creating an eerie ambiance.
A few yells erupt in the room beyond and the sudden sound of the doors to the chief's hall bang to a close echo through the hallway. The lone goblin, now abandoned by his comrades, wails in anguish and everyone hears the distinct sound of a bow being dropped and a blade being shakily pulled. The event is cut short as Reggie leaps past Kithian with a growl. The cry of the goblin is lost in the growling of the dog as it shakes its head vigorously with the goblin caught in its jaws.
Orik coughs in place and puts his hand on Kerrec, The door to the east tower, a hallway to the chief's room and harem. We should be wary of an attempted flank.
Vidar you can go and then everyone can narrate round 2 actions.

Regardless of what Vidar might do, Rullus will work his way forward in the mist, finding the door and following the right wall of the hallway, stepping over the fallen goblin, and making it to the point where he saw Shalelu go down. Once there, he'll kneel down, resting his spear on the ground along the wall.
Assuming no one before him has already done so, he'll grab the healing wand fastened to his belt and touch it to the ranger, activating it. 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 Okay, these healing rolls are just getting annoying.

Shalelu stirs to consciousness but it is obvious that she is weak, weaker than Orik by far. This makes sense as she was captive for longer and the denizens of this fort have every reason to want to make her suffer. She murmurs in elven and makes her way to stand.
Shalelu falls to her knees as she struggles to stand, inadvertently pulling on Rullis for support.

With Shalelu awake and the doors closed, Rullis will expend a standard action to dispel the mist. "Let me help you, we need to move quickly and get you out of here." he says to the elven ranger in common, completely unaware of what she said earlier.
He'll wrap his arm around her and help her to her feet. Once she is stable, he'll reach down and try and grab his spear in his free hand.

Kerrec give a nod to Orik and then starts loading his crossbow: "I'll stay here with Kithian. We'll hold this egress until the rest of you can flank them on the other side."
If the others look like they agree, he moves to stand over the goblin killed by Reggie, hoping to get a clearer view of what's beyond the second set of doors once Rullis dismisses his spell.
Also Devon, I've noticed the sizzling happeneing with the crossbow. Is it cool that I know what it does now so I can add it to my rolls?

Ninja'd, but this was what I was thinking: <original post>Rullis was aiding Shalelu in exiting the vicinity. I had imagined he was following Orik's suggestion and moving her to the barracks. It will do her heart good to see the mess we left behind. ;-) Orik is welcome to stay with her, much as I would prefer to have his knowledge of the place accompanying us.</original post> I'm fine with them both staying with us, but it might distract Vidar. ;-)
"Let's hurry. If we can get there and prepared, we will have the upper hand. Vidar, you have a free hand, right? Can you open the door on my signal?"
I thought we were going to the east tower, to the door on the north wall.
Camillo will switch weapons as he moves, trading the bow for the sword and shield. He will listen at the door to the base of the tower if it's not already open. If it's quiet, he will nod to Vidar, keeping the shield between himself and the interior of the room as the door opens.
Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Assuming no attacks come, he will lead the way into this room, as well, and listen at the next door. If it's quiet, repeat the procedure for entering.
Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23
After passing through the next door, he will move more cautiously and quietly, listening as he goes.
Perception 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17
Stealth 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
This all assumes that it's cool with the others, of course.
