Generic post for all my games: I don't know when ill be up to posting. I woke up very, very sick. I just now got to where I could post this.

Triel Siadon |

Just a quick heads up--now that the school year has started up again for me, my posting rate may end up dropping. I'll try to keep up as best I can.

DM KLS |

Things are going good. We had "wonderful" (not sure as how else to put a funeral) service yesterday surrounded by family and friends. I'll still be on the east coast for a few more days, so I should be good to go for you guys come Wednesday. She's holding up fairly well, so the number of random disappearances due to those reasons should be very minimal. We very much appreciate your guys' thoughts and prayers, and they are very much welcomed. I hope all is going well for you guys during this little "vacation" lol.

DM KLS |

Indeed. It'll be a rocky "restart" so to speak, but we'll get back to a fairly quick posting schedule again once everyone gets used to the fact that we're posting 2-3 times a week again. It was almost like we had to wait a long time before finally getting Jack and Cian back before this happened lol. Then again, Cian was kinda set to the side for a moment lol.

DM KLS |

Okay guys, combat has started now. Just so you don't freak out, this is how I'm gonna do combat from here out. The first round, we'll go one at a time, just to set how things are on the battle field. After the first round is over and the battlefield is essentially laid out, then when I say Round 2, then I'll just have all you post what you want to do (with a potential just in case plan for the casters), and I'll sort it out in a post for you guys to move into Round 3. If an issue would pop up, I'll bring it up so that whoever can make appropriate changes. I've been looking at other ways to run combat here, and this is probably one of the better ways I've seen it done. Just keep in mind initiative order for speech actions so that they'll make more sense.

As a heads up, I'm traveling this week to do an on-site training. The location is about 12 hours away via drive. (Yes we are driving) I'll be gone most of the week and my posting will be sporadic until I return home.

Ithylia Nassym |

It's what I was planning on suggestin. Keep her away from combat but close enough to keep the song up works for me.

Triel Siadon |

Owie...
Would Vanya be able to burn them without targeting Triel?
If not, Triel DOES have Spell Resistance... she could potentially walk it off.

Vanyalanthiriel Giliath |

I think blind, but that's off the top of my head. Disallowing it on skellies makes sense :)
Dazzled: The creature is unable to see well because of overstimulation of the eyes. A dazzled creature takes a –1 penalty on attack rolls and sight-based Perception checks.

Triel Siadon |

I think Ithylia's Inspire Courage applies to that spell as well.
Not that it makes much difference, really...

Vanyalanthiriel Giliath |

(Back to Skellies and Dazzled now that I have a computer and time to research!)
first off, I am not advocating either way about it working or not, that is KLS's prerogative.
1) The rules do not say Undead are immune to Dazzled. A plethora of other immunities (stat damage, fatigued, stunned, etc.).
2) Skellies don't seem to have any sight organs, but then again they also don't have muscles to make their limbs move :) No sight organs would mean no blindness effects (sic, Dazzled). But then again, they are listed as immune...
3) Undead *are* immune to mental effects (Charm, etc).
4) Undead are listed as having Darkvision and I assume all of the limitations that has (ie, Obscuring Mist is still impenetrable...)
I am happy either way, this is a mook fight (no map was the first clue!)
:D

DM KLS |

Well granted this is an easy fight, it's not the only time that you'll be fighting undead lol. Figured I'd ask it now for future reference. But being as it doesn't specifically state, and I don't want to waste time reading the boards, I'll just allow it as non mind affecting ability. Unless one of you wants to find out otherwise (which I don't see happening at this point lol), then that's how we'll roll it. And it's not that there's no map, after all I am GM, and I can always find ma map lol. I'm kinda liking not having a map. Leaves a little to the imagination, you know? But if you guys want maps, I'll get maps for you.

Jack Churchill |

I'm cool with no maps for (what I assume) is an easy or small fight, but if it's a bigger fight against like a boss or mini boss or something, I would like a map, so I can plan charges, flanking, and later my spirit attacks.

Artemis Deacon |

Only thing I care about is getting in Point Blank range and making sure the muggles aren't providing cover. No..not muggles. I mean the people who dance with the bad guys while I fill them with arrows.
I know on my wizard, maps are a huge help, but it'll be a while before fireballs go off and you gotta make sure it's not going to singe Jack..or maybe that it will.

Triel Siadon |

Who'd have thought being stabbed by a broken sword would be enough for her to just flip out and cleave something into pieces?

Ithylia Nassym |

Give me a bit, I'll post and see if I can get a higher one.
Edit: There ya go! a 23 :)

Triel Siadon |

Would anyone be able to assist me with my Spellcraft roll?
Perhaps a couple of successful Aid Anothers could work...

Triel Siadon |

So... have we figured out what the hell this robe is? I'm REASONABLY certain that this robe wasn't used as a dust rag...

Ithylia Nassym |

Things have been hectic at work. I've been burning through so many mental resources that I'm left with almost nothing at night. Walk in each morning to the office to have things thrown at me instantly. And all those things must be done right now when the come through. It's been a rough week.
