I can certainly understand that. :(
I would just like some feedback as to what the rest of the players here would think of looking for a new GM.
Jack Churchill |
Still here too. Haven't been checking in often. It's been what like a week since our DM posted anything. I don't want to take his game away from him, because I understand people get busy and stuff, but at the same time, we have done very little in a large amount of time.
If I don't hear anything soon, I will probably just give up, there would be the option if we don't here from him soon, of finding a new GM, or one of us being the GM.
DM KLS |
I'm sorry guys, it's been a rough two weeks for me. I'm out of the house 12 plus hours a day now, and with the crap I deal with right now, my energy just gets sucked out and I can't even put myself into a posting mood. I had to force myself to my in person game that I run the other night just so that we could get somewhere in that game. I still very much want to run this, I just have no drive to really post is all. So if you guys want to find a GM for now until I can move closer to work so that I'm not out of the house for so damn long dealing with stupid crap, then I totally understand. I was really hoping that we could finally get going a few months back when our posting started to increase again, but yea. Life has it out for me at times lol. If you want me to force a post for you guys, I'll do it, but they're not going to be worth it cause they're going to be bland, and I mean bland. If one of you wants to pick up for right now, then go for it, and once I get back to a rhythm where I can actually run a game for you guys, then I'll jump back in and we'll go from there.
Jack Churchill |
Cool, I hope stuff gets better for you soon man.
I guess we just have to decide who will take over. I could do it, I actually have been running runelords in an IRL game for a while now, so I have the book, and am familiar with it.
I couldn't guarantee much posting on the weekends, especially during the upcoming holiday season.
Jack Churchill |
I'll probably run his natural course for a bit, and then put him on hold. If that works for everyone else.
Ithylia Nassym |
I feel your pain, DM KLS. I think I can count on one hand (best case two) that I've not worked overtime in the last several weeks. I hope it gets better for you very soon.
And I'm fine with Jack running and I'm fine with letting Jack run his natural course.
GM MT007 |
Ok, I'll start the process of officially taking over then. I will prepare myself, and message our still missing party members, and let them know we will get moving again. The first real post will probably be tomorrow. I'd say it would be tonight, but Dragon age Inquisition came out today, and it is my favorite game series. The couple hours I played last night were awesome.
Artemis Deacon |
I believe I am going to drop out folks. I got roped into a group that is high level in this AP and with some changes at work (promotion to supervisor and people moving to different teams) I am swamped at work and most times I come home too worn out to really jump into stuff. I have a few long term campaigns that are moving along and I've tended to not check this one for days on end. If you are going to push forward you need people who are committed and passionate. I can't be either of those.
Good luck and hope to see you in games. Hope everyone has a great holiday season and I hope those with job craziness, I hope it returns to more normal status soon.
Good luck adventurers!
GM MT007 |
Sorry to hear that Artemis, but good luck in your other games. I'll write you you out then.
The question then is after losing the ranger, and the barbarian, do you want another player? I would guess yes, but if you guys just want to run as you are that is fine as well. In which case I can post for one, and run the story until we get one we like.
EDIT: I'm also going to make a couple of changes to how we do some stuff to make it easier for myself. I'll still track XP and tell you when to level. For combat I was planning on doing no map for simple combats, I'll just tell you enemy distances. For more complex combat. I was going to use online spreadsheets. What works better for people, Excel online or Google docs? For monster rolls, I'll probably just roll a bunch of dice in a post, and then do the math per attack accordingly.
Sound good or does everyone hate this plan?
Triel Siadon |
Hmm...
With Artemis gone, we're short a ranged combatant.
I have no objections to getting a new player.
However I do have some concerns as to whether they'll be comfortable with a drow PC...
EDIT: The plan sounds good. I've no objection to either Google Docs or Excel Online for combat maps.
Vanyalanthiriel Giliath |
I will recruit a friend to see if she can reinforce us! :)
Who do we know is still playing?
Vanya
Triel
Ithylia
Artemis is dropping
Jack is... becoming somewhat more ;) A legend if you will :p
Cian?
GM MT007 |
My plan was to replace Artemis, and just run at 5, that way if KLS wants to come back, I can roll Jack back in, and we would be back to 6, not 7. Plus I think 5 people will just be a bit more manageable.
I had messaged Cain and Artemis because they hadn't posted in a while. Cain messaged me back and said he would keep playing, I just think he hasn't posted on here yet.
If your friend wants to she can either post on the recruitment thread, or you or her can just send me her sheet, whatever works.
DM KLS |
Oh, I'm comin back, don't doubt that lol. I've been feelin more up to posting the last few days to be honest, but I don't wanna give false hope out to you guys. Wouldn't be fair for you. If I can get a full drive to post and hold it for a good week at least, then once I get moved closer to work and have all that fun stuff finished up, then I'll wait until you have a spot in which you can change things back 007.
Triel Siadon |
And Triel proves she doesn't discriminate.
Incidentally, she also proves that she has her share of rough edges to smooth over.
Triel Siadon |
Incidentally, please, please, PLEASE let me know if I'm being too much of a jerk here and if I need to tone it down.
Ithylia Nassym |
Hm, perhaps we can send a link via pm and talk someplace else? A google doc or something perhaps?
GM MT007 |
Sorry for the delay, I got sick over the weekend. You can just PM me if you have a favorite. Ithylia already did. Van did you friends submit a character or do they still want to? I'll post on the thread and tell them I will have a decision by tomorrow.
KLS, I honestly don't remember that, I went with pretty much what was on your original requirements post.
GM MT007 |
Hey Everyone, I read you suggestions and I went with Charde Flaskbreaker, the alchemist who will have some barbarian levels, for both ranged and up front damage. It was a tough call between him, the paladin, and the ranger. Please welcome him to our group.
Charde, I will roll you in shortly after we finish this night of celebration.
Ithylia Nassym |
*firing the party canons* *streamers and confetti everywhere*
Hello Charde! So glad you could join us. ^^
Ithylia Nassym |
I know. Was working on it when I posted the above. Yesterday was hectic and I got called away from my desk while typing it out.
Charde Flaskbreaker |
"That'd be me. Charde Flaskbreaker. Nice to meet you. Heard about what you did at the Swallowtail Festival; anyone willing to risk their lives for the people of Sandpoint is a friend in my book."
