Aéron Skáh |

I look at the Dragon slightly confused, "But ya've already spoken it ta ne. How'd ya speak it, if ya don't know it?" I am interrupted from saying anymore by the guard that has just run into the office, "We got there afterwards, but killed the creature who did it."
I spot Shalelu come back in and watch her in silence, when she mentions the Longshanks I look around to the group and the guard who had just arrived, "Some more long than others." I quietly chuckle to myself.
I listen to the rest of what Shalelu has to say and once she has finished I smile at her, "I'll stay 'n' help anyway I can ..." I look to Zara, "...if that's alright with Zara? I'm under his employ."

Draken Shar Black |

"I can piece it together, but that doesn't mean I can speak it fluently, I am a linguist, the more languages I know the better I can speak any language." Draken says before or after all the hub bub, he knows his manners after all.

![]() |

Eryda absently scratches her wound and mumbles in agreement. Sure, I'll walk around and watch the town for a little.

Tarinhilliberanavius |

Tarinhil says, "I was planning on staying around anyhow. No problem."

Tiazara Tyrneamitore |

Laughs at Aerons statement. That was only to get you out there before your tribe tried to kill you and besides I have nothing better to do. So I will stay also.

Unalaq |

Unalaq nods, "I'm planning to stay as well. Should we be looking for more signs of goblins or their pets hidden here in town or do you think this was the last one?"

Draken Shar Black |

"I am sticking with you unique individuals, I sense a story following you and many more shineys to come." Draken says sitting on Aeron's shoulder, he flaps his wings and stretches a bit, then settles back on Aeron's shoulder.

![]() |

Eryda raises an eyebrow at the pop, chuckling lightly to herself. She tests her arm with the weight of 'Bass' and grimaces ever so slightly. Off we go, then!

Draken Shar Black |

"Heeee!" Draken attempts to catch it with a large smile on his mug.
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6 Dex check.
"Noooooo!" He squeals as he misses the coin. Does someone else attempt to grab it?

Aéron Skáh |

Dexterity Check (To catch coin) : 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12
I nod at Zara's reply, "Looks like we're all stayin' ta ..." I cut off what I am saying as a hand plants itself on my rear with speed and a pop, I jump ever so slightly and let my eyes follow Shalelu out of the office again.
I then look to the others blushing slightly, "Lets go see the Father then."

Tiazara Tyrneamitore |

Chuckles and smiles unseen behind his mask. Yes and we should also see what we can do to make things easier should the little pyros attack again. If the father will help I would like to get people practicing being bucket brigades and such. We should also look for any tunnels the wretches may have dug in and out of town

MiniGM |

The young priest smiles as everyone approaches.
Thank you for coming. It is probably just another hiding goblin but the door to the burial vault for our fallen priest is ajar. I am afraid there is still something inside. Would you all mind taking a look? He says as he directs you to the large vault.
Map is up. You do not have to enter right away you can certainly do other things outside the vault if you so choose.

Aéron Skáh |

As Draken misses the coin I manage to swing my hand underneath the falling coin and catch it in my large hands. I roll the coin between 2 fingers and hand it to the little dragon, "I'll teach ya then, would be nice ta speak ta someone in ma own tongue for a while."
At the Church :
I walk up to the door and draw my hammer, I look back to make sure that everyone is ready to proceed, once they are all ready I push the door open with my foot. I make sure that I am ready to swing my hammer down onto anything that rushes towards me once the door is open.

Fernus Stonecall |

Fernus draws his crossbow at the mention of trouble downstairs.
"I've got your backs guys" he says with a little uncertainty in his voice.
Going down a dark basement or vault, doesn't sound like a good idea, but if I must...

Unalaq |

Unalaq joins Aéron and after drawing his sword, gives the other side a push, "Let's see what we've got in here."
Perception 1d20 ⇒ 13

MiniGM |

Unalaq points to the tracks in the mud. He realizes that both goblins and a human, or elf were involved.
The door creaks open and in the center of the room is a pile of cloth, in the back of the room are 4 skeletal figures. Zara you can keep that roll, but you are out of range.
Giving the heroes the init on this! map updated soon
Go heroes

Aéron Skáh |

Seeing the figures I charge at one of the creatures at the flank, my hammer trailing behind me just inches off the floor. As I get to the skeletal form I raise my hammer and it connects with the creatures ribs and head with a sickening crunch.
"Crusher" Charge Attack : 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
"Crusher" Charge Damage : 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 6) + 3 = 14

Fernus Stonecall |

Fernus moves just inside for backup and readies a Grease spell for when any of the creatures gets close.

As Eryda sees Aeron charge into the crypt, she jumps slightly and attempts to follow suit. Bumping into Unalaq as she goes by she runs with a battle cry. Alelelelelellah!
will kove when i get home. Just a flat out run to Aeron.

Tarinhilliberanavius |

Tarinhil runs toward the skeletons, ready to mix up a bomb to blast them to cinders.
Can't move myself from here -- double move of 40 toward the baddies...

Unalaq |

Sword in hands, Unalaq moves as quickly as he can through the mud and stone ready to begin attacking. Just a double move straight ahead.

"Crusher" Damage : 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 1) + 3 = 10

Tarinhilliberanavius |

Tarinhil moves forward more carefully and draws upon his feygift, causing his hand to burst into flame. He cocks back his arm and throws forward, hurling a small sphere of flame at the skeleton to the right of the dwarf, and using a rather unplesant sailor's curse as the fireball misses.
Trying too hard not to hit Eryda, and I overcompensated!
Produce Flame (Ranged Touch): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Eryda ends her sprint huffing in front of two skeletons. As she braces heself against their atacks, she winces as a scimtar comes dangerous close to her ear. Thankfully, she manages to twitch safely and grins as she prepares to clobber the living bones. As Eryda hefts 'Bass' in her hand, a fire blossoms near her, causing the poor startled dwarf to jump. Little close there! she yells over her shoulder. Squaring herself up, Eryda takes careful aim and drops 'Bass' on the skeleton that nearly took her ear off with the scimitar.
1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
Her attempt to crush the ivory skull pitifully goes wide but she uses the momentum to scoot to the east, facing the enemy proper.

MiniGM |

Aeron shatters the skeleton into a million pieces, while the flames from Tarinhillactually lick Bass's head causing it to take on a bright red sheen, but also causes it to fly off target. Unalaq meanwhile chops the skeleton into two pieces.
Fernus moves forward trying to get into position to put the skeleton on it's rear
Zara sends his blob of acid, it strikes the skeleton on the ribs melting one away. used your roll from earlier
The skeleton attacks Eryda again.

Aéron Skáh |

I step towards the final remaing skeleton and raise my hammer up again, hoping that I will be able to defeat it in a single blow.

Combat Over
The heroses look around and they find. They notice two things, one is that Father Tobyn's remains are missing. The second is that there is a small robe lying crumpled in the middle of the room.
--------
Where to?

Unalaq |

"This is terrible. Someone stole a body and surely did something to disturb the rest of the other deceased. We should tell Zanthus at once so we can put these remains to proper rest once more and find out how this happened."
Perception for other clues 1d20 ⇒ 13
Edited to remove the Sheriff since he is out of town.

Aéron Skáh |

I smile as I rest "Crusher" back onto my shoulder, "I'm getting used ta the new weight. It's a nice weapon." I look around to see the robe in the middle of the floor, then look up at Unulaq, "So ... someone stole a body 'n' left the robe? Why'd they do that?!"

Fernus Stonecall |

Sorry for the inactivity, had a small MtG tournament today that was unscheduled for me
"Well it could be someone else's of course, but why would they kidnap father Tobyn? Perhaps this was father Tobyn's and he got transported except for his clothing."
Fernus does not try to identify the robe, this is just him wild-guessing.

Aéron Skáh |

Intelligence : 1d20 ⇒ 5
Wisdom : 1d20 ⇒ 14
I look around nervously, "Uh, what if this were a diversion? Not sure why they'd want the body though..."

I am not going to be able to look at the book all day today so I am spoilering the next bit, I can reply to questions and posts once it is up.
Also note that the Sheriff is gone...perhaps you should keep this to yourself for the moment...
[b]Ameiko's brother was a bit of a scandal when he was born, after all he is a half-elf and neither of the parents are elves. Ameiko's mother never told who the father was, and only his legendary stubborness kept them together. Their father sent him to the Turandurok Academy outside of town, but once Ameiko learned of him she has been secretly visiting him, against her fathers wishes.
She pauses then continues. If that is all that had happened it would be alright, but Ameiko and Tsuto had a fight, and he hit her. Then she left Sandpoint for a year and only came back for her mothers funeral. That was even worse. Tsuto accused his father AT THE FUNERAL of throwing his wife off a cliff. He almost broke Tsuto's jaw with his cane for that. Tsuto left town and has not been seen since. He cannot be up to good.
She grips Aeron's hand. Please get over to the glassworks and check on everything
