Mr. Whiskers |

mage armor for Mr Whiskers are already up. Take it out of your daily resources.
I have put it in my bottling section that I just use one of my Runestones and one use of the Extend Rod to do Mage Armor each day. 14 hours should be enough.
I need to update the other sections of my botting area. I'll do that at the same time as I put in the proper BB Code.

Iron Will (so we are less likely to have to fight Einar).
Hi five! *raises paw*

Raises paw and taps!

Hirah Cheran |

I'm at work for the next 5-6 hours GM but if it comes back to me, I'll probably have my cats attack again

Mr. Whiskers |

Updated the profile. Decided not to buy anything at the Fey Court. Have slightly under 3K money and didn't find anything that called to me.

Mr. Whiskers |

Longarm is nice for the additional reach, but you may have enough of that already. Shield is also nice.
Second level almost everyone picks Mirror Image first.
Got a game that is starting. May be able to check in periodically, but expect it to be very short and sporadic for the next four or so hours.

GM Mort |

Oh no! We need our riddle solver! It's all riddles! :P That's why I was trying to push this part fast because it's mostly a riddle show.

Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson |
ok, the last first level spell I forgot to post was 'feather fall.' Falling bad/floating good. Actually it's just that I don't like heights.
The first 2nd level spell was bulls strength, can't have too much of a good thing. I'm thinking about resist element or see invisibility. I would like it to be something for an emergency (Like feather fall) just haven't found the right one yet.
Ok going to go reread the last fifteen in game posts, someone asked about drinking... I'm thinking Einar's your man Tiefling.

Mr. Whiskers |

Bull's Strength? When everyone told me to not bother to take Bull's Strength when mine can give +6 Strength? Really?
See Invisibility could be taken care of via scroll. Mr. Whiskers can scribe them if given time. Still that or Resist Energy can be very useful.
Still surprised you don't want Mirror Image.

I hate heights too...I can't look down more then 10 storeys without being a twitch.

I don't remember telling you not to take bulls strength, but it seems like something Einar would want. I agree Mirror Image is good defense and so is shield, he might take it latter maybe.
With just one or two spells a day, he's not going to use it a lot. So, I'm looking for that 'oh dear god were all going to die... never mind, I have a spell' kind of spell, like feather fall.

Hirah Cheran |

I'm not concerned about invisible opponents. Mr Whiskers said he has it covered, and I'll probably get Invisibility Purge which is like an AOE "no" to that tactic.
I think Inquisitor's have one of the coolest spell lists in the game, but that's just me. I wish they got flight spells tho :/

GM Mort |

The activity requirements for this part on the GM are bloody rough. The sheer amount of text I had to paste >.<

GM Mort |

Also, to get to the library you need to just place the "Tome of knowledge" against any wall, and flip to center page. Cue extradimensional portal leading to the library.

Mr. Whiskers |

Oh! I hadn't realized that is what was meant! I thought perhaps the book sucked everything into itself.
Well, hopefully we will be at someplace where I can experiment with the library a little bit tomorrow.

GM Mort |

Zorka was demonstrating for a reason....but ok. There's always a gap between what the GM knows and what the player knows.
Any wall= any wall in the Dancing Hut.
You'll still need to think of what you want to do with Ratibor.
And what questions you want to ask the animate dream.

Mr. Whiskers |

Is it possible for Mr. Whiskers to Aid Another on Crummock's bluff? I imagine that would be a standard action.

GM Mort |

Could, but declare which bluff attempts you're trying to help out, and dialogue it in game.
If its after the first piece of info has been fished out, then you can't do haste.
Sorry if conversation wasn't very inspired, I haven't had much practice lying to myself before.

GM Mort |

Also, I will retcon Crummock's conversation with Ratibor since he can easily take 10 and hit 20 diplo, and give you the relevant info.

Mr. Whiskers |

Just realized why I couldn't Aid on Bluff. Dang Aklo!

GM Mort |

Oh ya. You dunno what is being said:(
Earlier rounds can aid but probably wouldn't do much good.

Mr. Whiskers |

From the sounds of it, all it does is bring on the combat sooner.
Seems like a pretty specialized test too. It isn't like Bluff was stressed leading up to this point. There are a lot of groups that don't have anyone really skilled at bluffing.

GM Mort |

Actually what I'm giving you is the easy version(at least I think so.)
Exact text of mod as written:
"To complete the challenge, the party must determine the animate dream's desire before destroying her. The dream doesn't want to share her desire with mortals, however, so the party must trick her into revealing information. Each round, the party may attempt to trick her into answering questions by attempting an opposed bluff check against the dream's sense motive check. If the party is successful, the dream answers the question honestly. However, each time the creature gives an honest answer, she becomes more enraged and more violent."
That's why the whole thing ends up in a brawl in the end. And I know I'm due so yeah let me go get moving.
I get the impression that you're supposed to start fighting and talk each round to do it...this isn't the "Trial of endurance" for nothing...

Mr. Whiskers |

Let's see how things play out a little longer. Hopefully Crummock makes his second chance saving throw given by the protection from evil.

Mr. Whiskers |

If it doesn't work, then it doesn't work. They ran screaming and so Mr. Whiskers could either give that a try or run with them. I chose to give that a try.
Had he recognized the spell, there might be reason to say he would have known it wouldn't work. As is, seemed like an emotional effect and many of those are enchantments.
Hope I survive.

GM Mort |

Well, you could let me cutscene the whole thing. It'll be fairly amusing and I'll consider that a trial pass.
*snickers*

Mr. Whiskers |

Fine, cut scene then.
I don't know all that is going on. You need to figure out what works for your campaign.

Hirah Cheran |

Worth noting that I have a small bluff modifier, and I speak Alko, so I can still aid on bluff checks if required.
Recapping though.
I'm still in the room IIRC, unless that Fear DC is DC 20 in which case I don't.
I can aid on bluff checks
I can speak Alko.
I'm also under the impression that we need to destroy it but hey, thats just the impression that I'm getting.
Also, after watching the Vampire Diaries finale, I bet this undead dream wants to find peace, kinda like evil construct doll did in Book 1. That's just my opinion though.

GM Mort |

Not really worth the trouble killing her.
A)No lewt
B)There's potential for a big mess.
I'm pretty sure you guys can kill her. But at what price?
So I won't be retconning.

Hirah Cheran |

speaking of cool PFS builds though (earlier), has anyone actually ran into an Underground Chemist Rogue with the Bomber Talents?
A friend showed up to a non PFS oneshot with a Rogue / Rose Warden and just deleted everything with bomb + SA + his Smite ability :/

GM Mort |

Please come up with ideas on what you want to do with Ratibor.
Not sure how rose warden/underground chemist get bombs.
Edit:Found it, but SA is hard to pull off as a ranged class, unless greater invis.
Or ranged fient tree which doesn't occur till high levels.

Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson |
Please come up with ideas on what you want to do with Ratibor.
If we can't or won't free him Einar would rather kill him now than latter, nothing personal, unless of course he just regenerates.
Mort, You said that the ritual was "contained in her cookbook of arcane augmentation" have we found that?
Is there anymore information about Ratibor or his curse that we can find in the Library?
Would Einar be able to find that information? Or would he need help from someone smarter like Nivean?

GM Mort |

Ratibor says the last time he saw the cookbook, it was with Baba Yaga, who "went to the northeastern mountains." Then she came back without it.
The book is not in the Hut...

Einar 'Kinslayer' Bjornson |
so assuming we find it, and we have it with us, are we going to have to fight him to subdue him just so we can free him, or will we be able to go "Look we have the book" and he will let us in?
Or will we have to ask him in game?
Of course we could exit, come right back in, that way were not fighting him out of resources.
Also if we kill him and leave and come back does he return to life to guard the door?

Hirah Cheran |

Mort, you go Scout archetype and 'Charge' to get SA every time you bomb.

Mr. Whiskers |

We should probably ask in game if he has a preference. Just tell him where we will be going. He is a man of honor, so treat him with respect and don't attempt to deceive him.

Mr. Whiskers |

Spells I would like to scribe into my spellbook:
1: Heightened Awareness (10 gp)
2: Acid Arrow (40 gp), Create Pit (40 gp), Knock (40gp), Share Language (40 gp)
3: Daylight (90 gp), Heroism (90 gp), Tongues (90 gp)
I will not be able to use Create Pit until I can get a miniature shovel for the focus, 10 gp value.
---
Given what we have for rations, we can afford one day of downtime before we need to go out into Iobaria in search of the maiden. Since a scroll of a third level spell costs 375 to scribe, it would take all day.
Do people think we need a scroll of Tongues to be able to talk to people in Iobaria, or does someone have a better way to deal with that?

Crummock-i-Phail |

Just popping in to say that if we want to take a couple of days to craft a bunch of scrolls, I am okay with that (especially since I have some crafting on my own to do).
Sadly, I do not have any easy way to speak Iobaran :-/
Dead tired now, as I have just finished a 12.5 hr 'night shift', but I will try to post something substantial after I sleep...
Re: The door guard, I say we leave him for the moment - it is useful to have someone guarding the entrance whilst we are away...
Theoretically, we could probably use Invisibility, Dimension Door, or even something like Glitterdust, in a pinch, to bypass him, so he doesn't see us 'enter'.

GM Mort |

There's a minature shovel to be found in the library, among the casting supplies. And I'll give this one FOC.
You had like 40 days of party rations the last time I looked, so if you want to hole up, you're fine,

GM Mort |

Mr Whiskers. I'm currently trying to decide if he's allowed a bath. He'd be several months, if not a year, overripe ;)

GM Mort |

Right- Decided what to do about it - just waiting for Crummock or Einar to post on what to do with Ratibor.
