Ragnar Lothveld |

Ragnar has his dagger out.
Ragnar curses as the tiny creature squirms out of his hand. He takes a swipe at it with his dagger as it flies away.
AoO w/ Cold Iron Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Round 2 of Lingering Performance
Ragnar moves toward orange to D-18 and attempts to grapple the fey creature that hasn't cast Color Spray.
Grapple: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

GM Deadly Secret |

Creed misses
Creature 1 (orange) attempts to escape the grapple CMD 13 (grappled condition)
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
The creature gets out of the grapple and 5 ft flies back.
Creature 2 (purple) 5 ft flies back and fires an arrow at Kilava AC 16
Shortbow Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 91d2 ⇒ 2 x3/20 piercing damage
Misses
Hargo is unconscious, blinded & stunned.
Up next, Yessena!

GM Deadly Secret |

Kilava holds position.
The atomie flies up closer and casts a spell.
Ragnar Lothveld Fortitude: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 Negates the effect.
Spellcraft
Andrei Kovacs 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Creed Baguette 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Neither of you are sure what spell that was.
Ragnar’s Inspire Rage fades away.
Up next, Ragnar!

Ragnar Lothveld |

Ragnar moves into the same square as orange and readies his dagger to attack the fey creature if it attacks, casts, or attempts to move out of his reach.
Cold Iron Dagger: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7

Ragnar Lothveld |

I was under the impression you could set multiple conditions for your single triggered action to go off, but if I have to choose one, I chose spellcasting.

GM Deadly Secret |

Creed misses.
Creature 1 (orange) does a full withdraw and flies deeper into the woods.
Creature 2 (purple) attempts to escape the grapple CMD 13 (grappled condition & reduced size)
1d20 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17
Succeeds to get out and begins to fly away. This would provoke from Yessena, but you don't have a usable weapon in your hands.
Hargo is unconscious, blinded & stunned.
Up next, Yessena!

Ragnar Lothveld |

Is that Sylvan voice the same as the atomie or something else?
Ragnar will regroup with the others to F-18 and pick up his scythe. "Creed, do you have a weapon you can loan Yessena until she's back to her normal size?"

Andrei Kovacs |

Andrei awoke.
”Oh, we done?” Kovacs asked groggily, as he got back to his feet, dusting off the snow and surveying the scene, ”Well, I doubt we’re in any shape to continue pressing on, and we won’t be doing anyone any good if we get killed out here. I suggest we find ourselves someplace reasonably sheltered and secure to spend the night. Wouldn’t mind a fire either, not like half the forest doesn’t already know we’re here...”
Assuming no one objects, Survival to look for a good spot: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21

GM Deadly Secret |

Andrei was able to find a suitable location to set up a camp.
The greatsword falls unto the snow covered ground.
If you set up camp, make sure you're specific about what tents you put up, how many can stay in it. Who will be on watches. What is the watch order and for how many hours and once you get all that figured out. Go ahead and roll a nighttime Perception

Ragnar Lothveld |

"Does anyone need healing?"
I have two CLW spells I can cast.
Also, I believe once the sword is dropped on the ground, it reverts to its original size.

Ragnar Lothveld |

Ragnar offers Yessena his dagger, "You can borrow my dagger until you find a more suitable weapon if you like."
Then looking at everyone, "It might be time to find a place to camp. I think we're all a bit drained."

Andrei Kovacs |

"Well, Kilava and I can take the first watch," Kovacs said.
Perception for the night
Andrei Perception: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 2 - 4 = 14
Kilava Perception: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 6 - 4 = 14
I have the Light cantrip, it can be assumed that I keep it active on one of my starknives once it gets dark. Both Kilava and Andrei have Low-Light Vision as well.

Hargo |

Sorry, it's been a really long work week, and after being knocked unconscious I figured I had a day or two before I would get to act again.
Hargo grunts as he wakes up.
"W-what happened?" he grumbles as he starts to get up.
After realizing what is going on:
"Perhaps we should start a low fire, so as to not freeze to death?" he suggests.
Is it even possible to start a fire in this weather? If not it may be pertinent to just continue onwards.

Ragnar Lothveld |

"Hargo, you know these woods. Is there a more sheltered area to camp around here? Somewhere we might not freeze to death?"
Are we doing 5 two hour watches? I'll take 3rd Watch.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23

GM Deadly Secret |

The location is The Border Wood - Trail 6:30-7 pm
Perception
Hargo 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 5 - 4 = 13 +1 traps; +2 humans
Creed Baguette 1d20 - 1 - 4 ⇒ (19) - 1 - 4 = 14
The party sets up camp and starts their watches at 7 pm. It is very uncomfortable to sleep in the snow. You did your best to create a shelter for yourselves at the base of trees. You think to yourself that investing in a tent will be a good idea if you have to sleep like this again. Though sleep was rough, you will get your full nights rest.
Due to being in dangerous territory, there are chances of random encounters. I will be rolling those chances in secret. Your perceptions are for those possible encounters. If there is something specific you'd like to do during your watch, please specify. This will influence what occurs during your watch.
Though it is not that difficult to build a fire in the snow, it is rather hard to keep a fire going while it is actively snowing non-stop. This is a painful part of the RoW campaign that we will kinda hand wave a little. I will assume you are doing your best to keep the fire going. The nights are also very cold, ordinarily we would be rolling fortitude during this time as well but I will assume you just warm off the non-lethal as sit by the fire. If you don't sit by the fire, you will need to let me know because you will get cold and will have to roll.
Any non-lethal damage you took from the cold earlier will go away when you start to warm up at the fire.
Watch 1 passes without incident.
Watch 2 passes without incident, but at some point during the watch Ragnar does hear a hooved creature pass by the camp about 60+ feet way. It didn’t seem to approach or stop.
Watch 3 passes without incident.
You wake up at 7 am. Those who need to prepare spend 1 hour preparing.
The date is 4713 AR on Fireday, 18th Earstus at 8:00 am - current moon cycle: waxing crescent
The location is The Border Wood - Trail
After you prepare and pick up camp. What would you like to do?
If you plan to continue up the trail, go ahead and roll new perceptions and a survival to prevent getting lost. Add any bonuses you have for this kind of check. The snow is filling up the tracks as it doesn’t seem to stop snowing ever. If you do not continue up the mountain trail let me know.

Andrei Kovacs |

Andrei yawned, "Morning all," he said, getting ready to move out, "Hope you all slept well. I suppose we should get moving again. If anyone is still in need of healing, now would be the time to speak up."
If we move out: Andrei's rolls
Perception: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (12) + 2 - 4 = 10
Survival: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
And if they're relevant, Kilava's rolls
Perception: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (18) + 6 - 4 = 20
Survival: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4

Yessena |

"I could do with some more healing. That stag really got me good." Yessena groans and holds her more severe injuries. "But i agree we should be off now."
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
Survial: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24

Andrei Kovacs |

"Well, in the future, don't try to ride animals that are trying to kill you," Andrei chided lightly, as he cast Cure Light Wounds on Yessena.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Ragnar Lothveld |

Ragnar attempts to shake the cold off as he wakes up from a somewhat restless sleep, "Good morning everyone! I trust everyone slept as well as I did." He'll tell the group what he heard during his watch.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Survival: 1d20 ⇒ 12

GM Deadly Secret |

The location is The Border Wood - Wishbone Creek 8:15 pm
Perception
Creed Baguette 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12
Hargo 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14 +1 traps; +2 humans
Survival

Hargo 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 +1 track; +2 humans; +2 compass
Your party is able to continue down the trail that is getting covered by snow. It is becoming a little harder to move through the snow. You reach a creek and you don't see or hear anything that would alarm you.
With the sustained wintry weather over the past several days, a small stream called Wishbone Creek has frozen over. A human-sized snowman stands in the middle of the trail before a frozen stream. A crude wooden sign leans against it and bears the words in common, Trespassers Turn Back.
Current Map:
Wishbone Creek

Andrei Kovacs |

"No trespassers, eh? Is anyone known to live out here?" Kovacs asked, looking to those party members who might be more familiar with this area. To find such signs in the wilderness was a bit odd, to say the least. Kovacs scanned the surrounding area, casting a Detect Magic spell on the off chance there was, well, anything really.

GM Deadly Secret |

1st Round
You detect magic.
2nd Round
You detect 3 magical auras. The strongest is faint.
3rd Round
You detect the auras on the snowman. Andrei does not have knowledge arcana and won’t learn anything more.
A solid sheet of ice extends across this frozen stream, while snow-covered rocks line its banks. The stream is 20 feet wide at this point, but its surface is frozen. You might observe from your position that this appears to be the safest place to cross due to the mountainous wooded terrain surrounding you.

Andrei Kovacs |

"Well, the snowman's clearly a magic snowman. Can't say what the magic is, but, unless one of you folks can identify it, I'd assume it's some kind of trap, considering how the rest of this expedition has gone so far..." Andrei said.
