Andrei Kovacs |
Fort: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
Since it will be relevant to Kilava's actions, do our attackers give off a scent(As my intention would be to order her to attack, as she can simply go to the location pointed out, and then, once within 5 feet of the enemy, use scent to pinpoint and attack without dealing with miss chance). Assuming that this all is the case and I haven't misunderstood the scent rules, I'd like to delay my turn till after Ragnar's.
Andrei Kovacs |
Scent is a move action only to determine the direction of the target. I was under the impression we already knew that from Hargo's perception check, and thus, one would only need to use scent to pinpoint(which, so far as I can tell, requires no action beyond being within 5 feet). Regardless of whether this is the case, consider my turn delayed till after the rest of the party.
GM Deadly Secret |
You can have her move to the location of that one creature that he pointed out if you want, so yes if you want her to move to that area she can scent it and attack the correct square. Keep in mind that she will still have to roll vs concealment 50% and the creature is behind cover, unless she were able to roll a perception to observe it. If you want her to seek out different target let me know.
Ragnar Lothveld |
It's close enough to my turn, so I'll post now.
Ragnar, scythe in hand starts to sing about cowardly sprites hiding in the lights. Inspire Rage
He'll also take a look around for the hidden fey, but can't seem to spot them from the other lights around.
Perception: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 - 4 = 4
Morale Bonuses: +2 STR,+2 CON, +1 Will Saves
-1 AC
While under the effects of inspired rage, allies other than the skald cannot use any Charisma-, Dexterity-, or Intelligence-based skills (except Acrobatics, Fly, Intimidate, and Ride) or any ability that requires patience or concentration.
Reminder: Don't forget the boost to your FORT Saves
GM Deadly Secret |
Yessena can see one of the fey and can target it with weapons or spells on your next turn. You are currently staggered. You see one of them hiding in the trees using branches for cover.
Ragnar rages, but can't seem to find any fey. There are too many things going on with the lights you're distracted and can't find anything to hit.
Up next, Andrei Kovacs!
Andrei Kovacs |
Perception: 1d20 + 2 - 4 ⇒ (11) + 2 - 4 = 9
Kovacs raises a hand into the air, and casts a spell, washing the area in a wave of silvery moonlight.
Bless spell, allies get +1 to attack rolls and saves vs fear
Kilava accepts the rage, and switches to Total Defense for now(+4 AC).
Her perception: 1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (15) + 6 - 4 = 17
GM Deadly Secret |
Andrei Kovacs can now see one of the fey and can be targeted now.
Kilva spends a moment to find the creatures. She catches a scent but not only that she see's one and can target it next round.
The lights move and shift among the trees and branches.
Creature 1 fires an arrow at Hargo AC 17
Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 91d2 ⇒ 2 piercing damage
Miss
Creature 2 fires an arrow at Creed Baguette AC 13
Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 221d2 ⇒ 2 piercing damage
The arrow hits Creed, please roll a Fortitude save DC 11 or be staggered from the numbing cold (Su) for 1 round.
No 3rd arrow this round.
Up next, Hargo. You can see creature 1 if you would like to target it. However, it is still in cover from the branches.
Hargo |
Hargo accepts the rage. As a side note this round is probably going to go to complete waste :(
Hargo looks at the creature that he can see, then begins walking toward it while drawing his bow.
10 foot move action while drawing bow
Attack: 1d20 + 3 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 3 - 4 + 1 = 17
Concealment: 1d100 ⇒ 19
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
If they just have cover ignore the concealment dice I guess.
Yessena |
Sorry for the delay, last night kind of got away from me.
Extra standard action:
Yessena will study creature #2 as per the slayer feature. (It's a move action, but I'm substituting a standard for a move action.)
"Yeaaaaaarrrrrghhhhh, your puny wings will look great as a necklace, I can't wait to rip them off of you!"
Not raging, just angry.
Yessena will charge towards creature #2 and draw her greatsword, if possible also attack it. If it is possible to attack, she will be using Elemental Assault as a swift action.
[-2 Charge Penalty to AC this turn]
If I'm not close enough to attack, ignore the following rolls.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 4 + 2 + 1 = 11
Damage: 2d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (4, 1) + 4 + 1 = 10
Elemental Assault - Fire: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Ragnar Lothveld |
Ragnar will not maintain the song, but Lingering Song still keeps Inspire Courage active for 2 more rounds.
Ragnar looks around for the enemy, but can't seem to discern the lights from the fey creatures.
Perception, 1st Move Action: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 - 4 = 7
Perception, 2nd Move Action: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 - 4 = 5
GM Deadly Secret |
I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but you can't charge in snow.
Yessena moves up to the creature and misses.
Ragnar let's his Inspire Rage linger and at this moment can't see the targets yet.
Up next, Andrei Kovacs! Andrei can see creature 1 and Kilva can see creature 1 and 2. They are on the opposite side of each other on the trail within the tree branches.
Andrei Kovacs |
Andrei accepts rage and spends two move actions to skirt around fey 1 and move behind it, such that he would be flanking when Kilava moved up and attacked it.
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
GM Deadly Secret |
Due to cover, Kilva misses.
Creature 1 fires an arrow at Kilva AC 17
Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 171d2 ⇒ 1 piercing damage
Miss due to firing into melee and provokes an attack of opportunity from Andrei Kovacs & Kilva.
Creature 2 fires an arrow at Andrei Kovacs AC 16-1 (inspire rage)
Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 161d2 ⇒ 2 piercing damage
The arrow hits Andrei Kovacs, please roll a Fortitude save DC 11 or be staggered from the numbing cold (Su) for 1 round.
Creature 3
A vivid cone of clashing colors springs forth from behind the party and Ragnar Lothveld and Creed Baguette are at the edge of it. You look behind you and you all see creature 3. Roll me a Will Save DC 12; If you fail, you are unconscious, blinded, and stunned for 2d4 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4 rounds, then blinded and stunned for 1d4 ⇒ 2 rounds, and then stunned for 1 round.
Knowledge (Nature)
Ragnar Lothveld - 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Unfortunately, you still are not certain what these are but they seem to be some sort of diminutive blue fairy. Definitely a fey.
Up next, Hargo. You can see creature 1 & 3 and Andrei Kovacs and Kilva have creature 1 flanked in a tree.
Ragnar Lothveld |
Ragnar turns around to the bright colour array coming at him, but he's able to shake off the effect.
Will Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 16
Andrei Kovacs |
Kilava makes her attack of opportunity with a bite attack
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Kovac's Fort save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Hargo |
Hargo drops his bow and draws his greatsword while moving towards the fey nearest him.
"You will regret attacking us!" he yells in Sylvan.
Attack Roll: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Damage: 2d6 + 7 ⇒ (3, 3) + 7 = 13
He brings his sword slashing down.
I guess he's so angry he can't focus well.
Yessena |
Yessena will make a power attack against creature #2.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 1 - 1 = 7
Slashing Damage: 2d6 + 4 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (3, 4) + 4 + 2 + 1 = 14
I fixed the damage phrase even though it's a miss :p
Ragnar Lothveld |
Ragnar sees the gnome fall asleep in the snow and growls at the fey creature. He moves forward to #3 and slashes at it with his scythe.
Scythe: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (3, 1) + 6 = 10
Andrei Kovacs |
Andrei draws his starknife, and attempts an Aid Another action to aid Kilava's attacks.
Aid Another: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Kilava attacks Fey 1 with a bite and two claws.
Bite Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9
Bite Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Claw Attack 1: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Claw Damage 1: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
Claw Attack 2: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
Claw Damage 2: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
GM Deadly Secret |
Andrei was unable to assist Kilva, but her claw 1 attack proved effective as she knocks the little bugger out of the tree and it falls unconscious. Her second attack also damage it even further. This creature seems to be resisting some of her damage perhaps due to DR.
Creature 2 gets nervous and flies away and will provoke from Yessena. If you don’t down him, he will fly high into the sky deep into the snow fall and won’t be coming back.
Creature 3 also gets nervous and flies away and will provoke from Ragnar Lothveld. If you don’t down him, he will fly high into the sky deep into the snow fall and won’t be coming back.
Ragnar Lothveld |
As the creature flies away, Ragnar swings at it with the flat of his blade in frustration.
Scythe: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 - 4 = 17
Non-Lethal Damage: 2d4 + 6 ⇒ (3, 2) + 6 = 11
Ragnar Lothveld |
That will not confirm and Creature 2 gets away. Out of combat.
The two creatures are bleeding out atm.
I did non lethal to creature 3. It should just be unconscious, not bleeding out.
Andrei Kovacs |
"So, that's the fey, eh? Lovely, already hate 'em. Still, in case any of you want to ask these twits something..." Kovacs said, before casting Stabilize on the first fey and then doing the same to the other(if necessary).
"Everyone in one piece still?" he asked, casting cure light wounds on himself before going over to where Creed was lying to check on her.
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
Ragnar Lothveld |
Ragnar will use his rope to tie up the fey he knocked unconscious.
He looks over at the ranger, "Hargo! I heard you speak its language. Care to help question this thing once we wake it up?"
Creed Baguette |
when Creed eventually comes to consiousness, is unblinded, and unstunned
Creed yawns and puts her arms back "morning everybody, did ya kill all the Get? Sorry to doze off on you like that, the damn fey are good."
Hargo |
Was going to post last night, but by the time it was my turn, the battle had been won and I was exhausted.
Hargo calms down as the battle comes to a close. He looks around behind him to find his bow, and then picks it up. Turning his attention to Ragnar, he says, "That I do. Learned it from mother, who learned it along the borders of the Venduras. If they are truly as cold-hearted as Yuln said, however, we likely won't get much out of them. I say we kill them and carry on. We have won this fight, we should press the advantage."
Then he looks at everyone else. "If anyone is hurt, perhaps it would be best if we take care of them for a moment," he remarks, realizing not everyone may have the same single-minded determination he does.
Ragnar Lothveld |
Ragnar smiles at Hargo, "Perhaps they won't tell us anything. Perhaps they'll lie. Anything they tell us could give us a bit of knowledge."
Ragnar searches the feet creature and takes all of its weapons. Then once he's satisfied the fey is tired up good and tight, he'll cast Cure Light Wounds and wake it up. (or two CLW if it doesn't wake up after one.)
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
Reminder that it has NL damage as well, so will heal both.
