Hi Guys, I have been told you GM is AOW, and they you may need a replacement GM. Before we go to far, I need to ask, has anyone sent DM DoctorEvil a PM or seen to is other games for Activity?

If DM DoctorEvil is absent and once I have read over the game threads. Ill come back with some ideas of running this for you. I intend to change nothing that DM DoctorEvil has done as they may come back.

I have had a long hard think about this. Looking over the game and the full senorio.

Then looking at my RL commitments and the time I think I must put into this maintain post rate and Quality of this game. I have to be honest, I don't feel up to the task of GMing this one. I just wanted to say this now and not get started only to pull out at some point in the next mouth.

Your a great group and if my life was not the way it is. I would love to run this. I'm sorry and I wish you all the best is finding a GM that can do this Game justice. I just feel I am unable.

A little about me:

RoW is my favorite AP, and I've read all the books several times. I'm currently running the AP for my spouse.

I have 8+ years of experience GMing Pathfinder, and have GM'd play by post on Mythweavers for about 6 years. I quit Mythweavers about a year or two ago due to life commitments, but am willing to run this one game.

I have never done PFS and really don't know anything about it, but I'm willing to get accredited or whatever.

You guys seem to have ended in a very tight spot. You're under level and fighting the equivalent of a CR6-7 encounter.

What I'd like to know from you:

Who all is still here?

What are your expectations of posting rate?

What balance between roleplaying and combat do you prefer?

Like I mentioned in my PM, it's not that hard for us to get PFS credit. We can just keep the game "as is" making adjustments as the GM sees fit.

There's no "accreditation" you just sign the chronicle shet (our record of playing the game) and I can report it online.

At least once a day, maybe once a weekend. I'd like to get the game moving as we were "stuck" in Book 1 for a LONG time.

As per a "regular" AP. Fifty/Fifty? Maybe more towards the combat depending on the part of the AP?

I post daily or more, but I have games that are 2 gm posts a week and I have other that are very reliably daily. I roll with the group and try to never be the one that hold up action.

I love combat and role play for pbp I tend to not want to slow games down so I wait for specific in game moments to drop RP so it has the weight and context I think is needed. I keep the rp to the situations related to the narrative and try to use them to keep the momentum of the story. I like to indulge other people RP but I'm likely over cautious about seeming self indulgent.

Gm, for other games I'm in I do things like track the loot so the gm just has to post it in the thread as well and prepare maps. I have played and gmed enough pfs that I can prep maps without spoiling things or taking advantage of the situation. I also update rollers for group perception initiative etc. If any of those option help your decision I'm happen to do them.

I'm happy enough to do this. Once a Gm decided we can figure out a system that works.

The way it works in my other games is the gm gives me either the pages or names of the maps and I put them up with the player tokens and they take care of the enemy tokes. I can also put up images of the monsters from the book though I prefer not to as it is easy to accidentally see the stat blocks. I won't metagame but it takes away some of the surprises from the combat.

For loot, the GM puts up a list in some predetermined format. Something like.

Loot:
thing 1
thing 2
3x thing 3

I put it in a tracking sheet, find prices and take care of the selling when we are in a settlement.

Don't worry about any of the PFS stuff. Pretend it is not there. At the right time I will fill out the sheets for you and Qsotr will report it. I do this for my other games as well.

I'm still here, folks. Just had a busy weekend. As for posting commitments, I think the others have summed it up nicely. I think the RP/Combat tradeoff should just be played by ear. I like RPing, but not so much that it seems to bog the game down.

As the newest player to the game it's nice to see I'm on the same page as everyone.

Go ahead and level your characters up to 4th. You should all have 9,000 XP. That puts you a little behind the AP, but I think we can make up the difference.

I'll narrate our way to the next book, but in regards to the witch Radosek, I'm not going to kill him offscreen any more than the PCs. He will escape the encounter and you'll inevitably run into him again. This actually won't make much difference in the structure of the AP, if any at all. Presume you eventually either manage to destroy the animated ice statue or the spell expires (it lasts 11 rounds).

In regards to Ruso and Radzislau, I'm going to leave their fates ambiguous but assume that they aren't coming back. Nadia will continue with the party as an NPC.

A few expectations:

I will expect minimum 1 post per day except on weekends and holidays. If you can't post, give warning ASAP. You can expect the same from me. After 24 hours, I will NPC your character if in combat or otherwise needed to move forward. If you wish, you can create a priority list of 3 actions you'd like your character to take if in combat and I have to take control (using my best judgement obviously).

I will be running the AP as written. No fudging rolls or bending rules either way. All my rolls will be hidden by spoilers and I would prefer that you don't check them unless there's a good reason (to prevent unintentional metagaming). That said, they will always be available.

We will all make mistakes (or I will anyway). Pathfinder 1e is a complex game even at low levels. But once the hand is off the chess piece, 90% of the time that's final. I will make exceptions for extreme or extenuating circumstances such as PC death. Speaking of which, PC death is a thing that may well happen. I am not out to kill your characters, but will play as impartially as possible and parts of this AP are very lethal.

If a disagreement on rules is reached, I will (usually) resolve it on this order:

Written rules > FAQ > Group consensus > My judgment.

Any ruling is not setting precedent. If I find out I am wrong, I will use the correct ruling going forward.

I will be posting from my phone primarily so there will but typos and some grammar errors. I will try hard to minimize this but can't promise perfection.

Unless I'm missing something, a witch cannot add spells to her familiar from a spellbook, only from scrolls and other familiars.

Sometimes it takes a while to take control of the game but nothing stops us from posting in it as is for the time being. We will likely want to make copies of the loot sheet so it is in one of our Google drives. I will do this. And I will make it part of goliath's header.
