I am a bit confused now. I thought we were moving but last post seems to assume we are still in the snowman.

If we are staying Samuel proposes to shot the beast from afar, then walk around whatever remains, crossing the river.

Oh yeah! I am enjoying a lot the interplay so far :)

I have no plan to make Samuel attack Letitia, but I thought the revelation deserves some drama moment.

In the end, if any of you thinks it's bogging down the game or causing problems, just let me know and I will find a way to hastily move out of the situation and have things moving once again.

I'm enjoying it as well. These first few encounters/chapters are always interesting to see how groups come together. Major plots aren't always enough to keep individuals together since people see things differently, but this one has been pretty unique so far. Not just the typical 'must kill bad guy plot because he's bad' mentality. We all seem to have our unique reasons for being along and that's really entertaining to see it evolve and how it affects the group dynamics.

There will always be combat just around the corner. I like to take advantage of the opportunities to role play and have those character defining moments.

I was pretty sure you weren't going to shoot, but Alec isn't quite as sure.

I am having a grand time of this; this is what makes play-by-post so good. I feel, especially for how this adventure is starting, that finding some conflict and then resolutions for that conflict will be excellent. I'm trying to play up Baradim as the "wise but strange" druid, so I hope it hasn't been too annoying or too focused on what people are doing; he's just a wise man.

I'm glad that we're also talking about it here, so that way we all have a proper idea of where we are as a group OOCly. I never thought Samuel was going to shoot her but I think it was an excellent thing to do just to ensure there is no confusion on our intentions.

Oh, yes, this is fantastic! I absolutely love this interplay so far. That's the best part of PBP, with good role players. The witch reveals herself and gets a barrel of a gun to her face. And Samuel, that's brilliant about the potions maybe bewitching them. Hadn't thought of that. The two who drank a potion are coming to her defense! So I wonder what Greadra is thinking about all this. :-)

This is a wonderfully tense moment. I'm so glad to be the center stage for this!

Is your scheduling issue a temporary thing, or would it be better to find a replacement for you? I'd be happy to have Greadra sit out for a while and work her or a new character for you back in at a later point if your schedule gets better.

I've botted you a few times already, as you have been the last one to post a few times now. Your last post was almost a week ago now, and your party is in combat.

I totally get real life being in the way of regular posting, but this is much less than I asked you all to commit to, and is affecting the game

I have yet to hear back from Greadra's player, and I feel I have given sufficient notice.

I have reached out to another player who had given a great submission to my original recruitment thread and was just barely passed up for the original party. That character will be worked into the story very soon after this combat resolves.

I was trying to think of a good way to write Greadra out of the story, but sometimes these things just work themselves out so nicely....

If any of you are having trouble keeping up with posting, please reach out to me. if there is something going on I am happy to keep things moving and bot as needed. But if you don't tell me that you have something going on and just stop posting for a week I am going to remove you for the good of the game. If you disagree with my choice to remove Greadra please feel free to contact me about it.

I do understand, online campaigns require a minimum commitment. And it does not seem a temporal problem anyway.

I am excited to see whom else will join. May I request this new character brings in a minimum ability to spontaneously cast healing or channel positive energy? :P
(I recently found this strange healer's hands feat)

Being us in the High Sentinel's lodge just now, it would be very easy to find one of the Sentinels, and it will ease her into the group by having some ties to Samuel already. In the end for us freeing some prisoner in the lodge will fit almost any character background, so anything can work!

Agreed, Games do require at least a modicum of commitment, and I apologise for my sporadic work Schedule as well as Life overwhelming me, I didn't expect it to hit me so hard.

But if you see it proper to drop me, I won't object your decision

However it saddens me to see a character I was dedicated to die, and it disheartens me that if it is established I am infact dead that i should not be able to join back in, as my schedule has finally cleared up and I should once again be available full time.

You all have been exceptional companions either way, And i do hope to continue to play with you all in the future.

In addition to recover ourselves, Samuel will need 1 day to use Gunsmithing to repair his battered musket (it seems the snow has frozen it and that's why it does not work that good nowadays :D) and make it masterwork.

Because we are probably not going to find anyone to trade with in a while, would it be possible for Samuel to consume some of the loot we found to get the materials required to repair his musket? That would be at a basis of 50% value as if we were selling it, until he reaches the 300 gp cost required in materials.
