"Ohhhh, THAT spell." He grabs a better handhold, swinging himself up. "Yeah that one is expensive. Couldn't you just use it to solve the problem instead though? Open up the wall, or teleport us out or something?"
Karnog Kegmeister
"If you can drop this invisible barrier, Kalim, do it! Wish, disintegrate, dispel, whatever you got! I'm gonna try and smack the giant if I can!"
Karnog finishes his summon spell, switching from his planned dinosaur to an earth elemental. As it come forth just shy of the barrier, he orders it to earthglide underneath and head towards the giant.
This hulking, roughly humanoid creature of dirt and stone explodes up from the earth, faceless save for two glowing gemstone eyes.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Earth Glide (Ex)
A burrowing earth elemental can pass through stone, dirt, or almost any other sort of earth except metal as easily as a fish swims through water. If protected against fire damage, it can even glide through lava. Its burrowing leaves behind no tunnel or hole, nor does it create any ripple or other sign of its presence. A move earth spell cast on an area containing a burrowing earth elemental flings the elemental back 30 feet, stunning the creature for 1 round unless it succeeds on a DC 15 Fortitude save.
Earth Mastery (Ex)
An earth elemental gains a +1 bonus on attack and damage rolls if both it and its foe are touching the ground
As the massive rock monster shows up, it immediately drops back into the stone and attempts to move towards the giant.
"I hope that thing can at least allow the giant down, maybe force him off that lever?"
"Desmond, if you can find out how the water is gonna come, I can probably walk it off. Keep looking!"
Finish summon. Delay for now.

I don't have a climb speed. Just a big climb check.
I didn't know if you had a rogue talent that increased your climbing speed/distance.
With a successful Climb check, you can advance up, down, or across a slope, wall, or other steep incline (or even across a ceiling, provided it has handholds) at one-quarter your normal speed.
Desmond double moves and scurries up the wall, finding plenty of handholds and footholds as moves. He get us 15 feet and looks up. The netting is another 15 feet higher.
Karnog Kegmeister
Nope, no Terran. Silly dwarf and his silly 2 skills/level.
"In that case, I can probably fix it! Move back, Desmond."
Karnog casts wall of stone, creating a ceiling over the group just below the nets and loose stone.
baldwin the merciful
So the creature appears and looks at Karnog, it makes gravelly guttural sound. It seems Karnog's mouth moving but it doesn't quite understand that the dwarf is saying, but it does get the gist of the meaning as Karnog points towards the Firegiant. It doesn't understand your language but it understand the pointing.
At first it takes a step towards the firegiant but it soon discovered the invisible barrier, it nods its understanding then burrows under the surface.

Firegiant RD 2
The firegiant tugs at a second lever then he moves that hand over to the a third lever. He is holding his Warhammer in his dominant hand.
There is creaking sound coming from the tunnel (around I:47) as the rock wall busts open with a gush of running water. The tunnel begins to flood. Imagine a sewer line breaking and flooding the area.
Anyone have knowledge engineering or dungeonering?
Desmond Aeros
"Huh. Turns out Karnog's wall is going to make this room flood faster. Less than a minute."
"You know I hate to ask, but could somebody make me able to breath underwater? Not sure how else I'll be able to get out and pawn that gem off later."
Nym Omriwin

Ugh don't know what to do

Duncan Does. Current Spells: Chain of Perdition, Divine Favor 9 rounds left
Engineering: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10Duncan didn't have alot of options at this point. He Did have a single scroll of WATER BREATHING but getting everyone together would take a moment.
Ta Me, everyone. I can make ye breathe water
He uses a MOVE action to draw the scroll from his pack.
Looking at the Giant, too far away for anything else and his friends needed someone to reverse that lever.....
Duncan uses his SUMMON BATTLE COMPANION BLESSING to bring forth a HOUND ARCHON.Using a Blessing is a standard action
When it arrives he instructs it,We need ye ta reverse the downed lever ta free us, wait fer the Earth elemental to attack tha Giant
At 10th level, you can summon a battle companion. This ability functions as summon monster IV, but its duration is 1 minute, and it works only on a good outsider or an animal with the celestial creature simple template. This ability can summon only one creature, regardless of the list used. For every 2 levels beyond 10th, the level of the summon monster spell increases by 1 (to a maximum of summon monster IX at 20th level).
Duncan Redhammer
Duncan your Hound arrives and assesses the water on the ground. It quickly realizes the room is flooding and he is to move over to the giant.
"How do you want me to get over there?
Duncan's heart fell a little and he remembered the conditions of a summoning.
Don't s'pose ye can smell yer way acrossThe Scabbard piped up at that moment, You fool. Any half learned Priest should have known that. If the only thing your good at is hitting things, then leave the higher prayers to your Kindered. HE at least makes decent spell choices...

Anyone even remotely looking towards the giant can see a huge section of the cave floor collapse. The floor is gone where I put the yellow template.
Note: the winged creature on the map near Grung is the Hound Archon that Duncan summoned. His chain is on the other side of the Grung and Nym's cold sphere is the red object on the map.
Also the water is now up to your shins and it is clearly being blocked by an unseen wall.
Karnog Kegmeister
"Well, that could have been us, so there's some good news at least."
Moving towards the invisible barrier, Karnog brings his hammer down with as much force as he can.
1d8 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 bludgeoning damage & 1d6 ⇒ 1 fire.
"Something must be able to bring down this barrier!"
baldwin the merciful
Initiative: RD 3 update
Desmond -
Karnog - strikes the barrier with his hammer and does no damage to it
Nym - uses his air bubble wand on either Duncan or Kalim
Kalim -
Firegiant -
Grung -
Duncan -
*I added a thin blue line to show you where in invisible barrier is located. Its holding the water that is pouring into your area inside your area and this is obviously visible to everyone in the party.
Karnog Kegmeister
Honestly, disintegrate the barrier. Or at least a cube of stone on either side, or underneath, so we can get through
Kalim Gudlavaletti
Kalim points at the ground near the barrier and straight up disintegrates that s+&+. rta for ground: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (13) + 10 = 23damage: 30d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 5, 2, 3, 1, 4, 6, 4, 5, 1, 3, 5, 2, 6, 2, 2, 6, 6, 6, 3, 6, 5, 5, 4, 1, 6, 6, 4, 2) = 117
"Giant! Next I'll do this to your balls!"
Duncan Redhammer
Don't forget everyone to get within touch range of Duncan. I am going to cast Water Breathing on Everybody
baldwin the merciful
Kalim green rays smashes into the stone at the base of the invisible barrier and the stone crumbs and dissolves away creating a 10 foot hole in the ground. Water begins to flow into the hole but you can see a path forward and under the barrier.
*I put a 10 x 10 token crossout token on the section of the ground that is disintegrated.

Look at my last post for the most current map.
desmond do you want to act before the firegiant? Remember you are up on the wall.
Karnog what is the elemental doing to do? continue towards the giant or emerge topside into the cavern?
baldwin the merciful
Initiative: RD 3 update
Desmond - jumps down and gets next to Duncan for the water breathing spell
Karnog - strikes the barrier with his hammer and does no damage to it
Nym - uses his air bubble wand on either Duncan or Kalim
Kalim - disintegrated 10 by 10 section of the ground
Firegiant -
Grung -
Duncan - I assume you will be casting your water breathing spell. Are you going to have your hound act?
The Giant will hold his action until Grung and Duncan's hound begins an action.
Karnog Kegmeister
Elemental will approach the fire giant and attack, if he can earthglide up to him and slam, will do so. Otherwise will double move and remain underground to 5' up and double slam next turn.
Duncan Redhammer
Seeing a whole open up allowing some passage through the barrier, Duncan delays (till after Grungsdi)
to allow the hound to move close enough to touch and Grungsdi.
He then directs the chain of Perdition to move 30ft in a diagonal to R44, calling to the hound,
Follow the chain, wait till the giant is Occupied then get the lever.
He then uses his standard action to cast WATER Breathing on Himself, Desmond, Karnog, the Drow and Grungsdi if the Dwarf bothers move over before the charge fades...
My level is high enough for 2 hours each
baldwin the merciful
Duncan: Nym has already cast water breathing on himself and Kalim.
Duncan you move your chain under the hole and beneath the wall and it reemerges on the other side of the invisible barrier. As you direct it towards the giant it runs smack into another unseen barrier. this barrier is between the "O" and "P" hexes. i'll update the map the next time and show you how far the chain was able to move.
Karnog the earth elemental can still earth glide or burrow, so I will move it forward on the next map. It will still be underground but angling upward towards the surface.
Grungsdi
Grung moves to Duncan to gain water breathing and then activates warrior spirit for a +5 shocking warapon
Grungsdi
. Thanks brother. Would be a less than heroic way to go to drown
He slams Croaker on his shield and shouts at the giant Enjoy your last breaths!
