I'm sure Kalim realizes that Grung, but he has a philosophical issue with the dwarfs wanting to kill orcs "All the time." This is actually how he separated from the party. The group rp'ing conversation that occurred was memorable.

This is a cold calm pool of fresh water it is relatively clean and you can see the bottom at 25 feet. There are a few small fish swimming in the pond but most of the large ones have been eaten by the orcs.
Malcolm you are going to sink unless you make a DC 10 swim check.
Any character can swim in calm water only requires Swim skill checks with a DC of 10. Because you are in combat you can't just take 10. Remember, however, that armor or heavy gear makes any attempt at swimming much more difficult (see the Swim skill description).
