Rina is only grumpy for about a day ... then she's much better tempered and her usual sarcastic self to Chadwick's talkative. As they come up on their destination, though, she's quiet and falling into line behind Kale.

Kale lets the others scout, keeping them in sight as he moves around the property looking for anything that might be relevant.

thanks guys and gals, I hate advancing without everyone aware.
Chad and kid- as you scout, you see much of the damage is old but some is recent, a faint old trail made by something small leads away to the Northeast.
Everyone else- you don't spot anything else that stands out, no enemies are visible

Chad, I think we might want to call the others over to take a look at this trail. I bet the goblins are down that way and I'd rather not face them alone.

Naldoc tries to get the attention of the others in the group so that he can show them the trail that has been discovered.

Kale sees Naldoc waving and nods. "They have something."
He trots his horse over and looks around. "What did you find?"

"Besides the kid is bad at sneaking, we found a trail they used"

Not my fault! Its all these leaves and twigs and stuff! We don't have this in the streets of the city. I bet you couldn't find me back home even if I gave you clues. Naldoc seems quite embarrassed about the entire affair. Idiot! I should of just kept quiet instead of whining like a child. So what if I snagged a few branches, no one was here to hear it. I'll be more careful next time.
Anyway, yeah, we found a trail leading from the house, or what's left of it. Do you want to follow it?

"Should we check the house before we go? I admit, I'm not much of a tracker. I don't really know what the next step should be."

"The local area outside the house is clear, so I say we check the house take any valuables and then take the trail."
I thought I made it kinda clear but since I didn't let me restate.
The house is basically a foundation and outer walls...most of those have been messed up too so there isn't much of an inside to explore (or loot)

Kale glances over at the decrepit ruin that was once a building and chuckles. "From the other side, I assumed the house would have more than one wall..."

Not much to protect, is it? Guess they didn't get too far. Perhaps they should have cleared out the goblins before they started?
Naldoc stares down the trail. So, do we go in there now?

Yeah, I suppose so. Umm, I guess Kale should take the lead and we just follow him in? Naldoc readies his rapier and dagger, just to feel safer.

Chadwick with a club in hand looks around.

If he doesn't find anything he'll draw his bow and look? to the trail, "Ready when you are?..........unless you all want to try and set up an ambush here?"

"And wait for what, exactly?" Kale says with a shrug. "The off change they might come this way today, sometime?"
Is the path clear/wide enough for a horse, or am I leaving my mount behind?
It's not a real path, it's a trail of prints left by the goblins

Kale moves his horse to the ruined house and orders him to Defend it, planting his lance in the ground in the center of the ruin.
Defend trick. The horse will stay put and guard the house and himself. Basically, this is just a more agressive form of "stay".
Walking back to the rest of the group he pulls his hammer from it's loop on his belt and begins moving down the trail.

Rina trots after Kale, her hands curled into fists. She shuffles her feet along the way, peering about her for goblin tracks as she goes. She doesn't see many herself, but seems content to follow the less than shiny knight.

Naldoc follows in after Rina, deciding that he'd rather be as close to the knight and monk as he can.

As the others begin to fall into step, Corinne takes her spear in hand and takes he place behind Naldoc, eyes open for any sign of trouble.

"I'll take the lead since my eyes are sharp and I'd rather see the tracks before you all stepping on them. He takes to the front of the group and tries to find the freshest goblin tracks.

Your eyes tell you that the tracks are just over two days old and there are are around ten members.... They lead off toward a wooded area

"My keen tracking abilities tell me there are at least 10 gobos and they headed towards the woods over here." He points the direction.
"Lets get going before it gets dark and our prey gets the advantage in the dark."

"Go ahead." Kale says. "Naldoc, watch our back and keep that bow ready."
We start moving.
Ok, you all follow the trail...
As you go into the forest the trail branches into two
To the left is a game trail where there is heavy use and to the right is a less used path that 4 goblins went down
The left path also leads deeper into the forest the right path heads toward a hill

Chadwick examines the 4 tracks a little closer to tell if their deeper or any other signs that they were carrying the loot.

The party going into the hills (4 to the right) is heavily laden with equipment... The tracks are just over two hours old

Chadwick Rises after examining the tracks, "Looks like these 4 goblins were caring a large amount of stuff and they came by just 2 hours or so. So do you all want to check on them or follow this trail and hope we run into goblins? I vote we take this small group and try to pry info from them or at least get a few extra trinkets for our troubles." Chadwick waits for a response from the rest of the group.

Naldoc nods to the bowman in agreement. Makes sense to me.

Chadwick nods to Sir Kale, "Keep your eyes open and keep the talking minimal." He moves forward with his bow drawn and ever vigilant.
The party moves upward through the edge of the forest, and spots a rickety watchtower on the side of a hill

He responds to Kale, "I know I am, Naldoc not so much." He gives a sleight chuckle, "Though I do need a good shoot watching my back." He pats Naldoc on the back as he says that, and begins to head towards the tower, "Give me a few and I'll be back with the info and maybe a few gobo ears."

Naldoc grimaces at Chad's comments. Great, he thinks I'm a clod. Maybe out here I am.. Assuming he wanted me to follow, Naldoc tries his best to follow in the ranger's shadow.

Rina just trails along after the others. She glances around when Stealth comes up - somehow, the wide-set Monk just does not look like the stealthy sort. She grins at Naldoc, though, and winks. Then she stays with Kale while they sneak. Or not.

1d20 - 1 ⇒ (12) - 1 = 11
Almost immediantly there is yabbering from the tower and a few chunks of rock are thrown in your direction

The ranger lets out an annoyed sigh as he hears Naldoc stepping on most the twigs instead of all of them. He whispers, "By the mercantile last copper, this isn't the city streets be mindful of where your stepping. Forest can hinder as well as help you mask you from others. Move like me, see don't disrupt the brush you move along it."
Try it again buddy, if okay with DM. Also your stealth should be a +8 like mine. I think you forgot the +3 class skill bonus.

Rina covers her mouth with her hand to stop herself from snickering. She is mostly unsuccessful.
