This campaign is set in the mythical land of Raithun, where an evil is brewing, the clouds of war are starting to gather throughout the kingdoms, and Heros are needed to answer the call of good and fight!
Male Human Rogue/1
Naldoc gave a quick "Ah" and briefly nodded. I know how that can be, being in a family shackled in debt, struggling to stay in business and afloat. Hopefully the both of us will be able to earn enough to aid our families.

Rina clambors out of the cart. She seems to have nothing on her for making camp, instead shuffling to the wagoneer's campfire, and digging in her tattered bag. She has ... some jerky. Which she sits and gnaws on, watching the others.
"I can sleep out here." She offers. No need to treat her like a lady! Her eyes stray to Corynne, though, curious what she'll do.
Male Human Rogue/1
Once my camp is set up I'll gnaw on some trail rations and use my whetstone on all my weapons, starting with my rapier (15 minutes per weapon, +1 to damage roll on first hit). Of course, I'll be listening to Kale and whoever else that might speak while I do it.
Rina is like no lady I've ever seen. Then again, I don't think I've ever seen a lady monk come to the shop before. Maybe that's how they all are.

the old man looks at her oddly... "you can sleep inside..... It's warmer..."
F Human Monk 1
In her tattered bag, Rina also has what looks like a little flagon of mead, which she cracks open and happily slurps some of. Tastes good with the jerky, "I just mean if somebody needs." Rina shrugs, not above taking an advantage when its given to her. But she's more interested in her jerky and drink at the moment. After a moment's thought, she wipes the mouth of the bottle off with her sleeve (not very clean) and offers some to the poor wagoneer, and Naldoc. At least she's trying to be friendly?
The old waggoner sips lazily from the flask before passing it on... "good stuff..."

Mead? I guess a little taste couldn't hurt? Naldoc flashes a smile of gratitude and takes a careful sip of the liquid, grimaces a shade, then passes it back over to the monk.
"So, um, Rina is it? You've been an adventurer long, huh?"
F Human Monk 1
Rina takes another happy slurp before waving the bottle at Kale and Corynne. She doubts they'll be interested, but, it can't hurt to offer, right?
"Rina is it. I'm not an adventurer, I'm a monk." She laughs at her own distinction, "Good to make a little cash though. Keeps me in the mead. Though, uh, I guess I haven't been out before. Training in the monastery. Or something." Rina is not sure it was really training sometimes. Just was fighting to her.
Male Human Rogue/1
"Oh! Sorry, but I really have no idea as to what a 'monk' is to be honest. So, what exactly does a monk do? What did you train in?"
F Human Monk 1
Rina considers this, thinking she should probably answer meditatively and calmly, as most of the monks do.
"Well, ours was a monastery of Irori. That's ... self perfection. So, I guess, Monks study perfection of the body and mind and stuff. Its very relaxing usually. The idea is you don't need equipment or anything fancy to fight. That your body is a weapon the way it is." Rina nods a bit, satisfied with how scholarly this sounds; for her its downright poetic.
"I'm not sure I'm a very good monk." She adds, in case that wasn't clear.
Male Human Rogue/1
"You don't use weapons?" Naldoc seems intrigued by this fact. "So, you are like a brawler or something?" That might explain why her hands are all scarred up. I really could have used her as a friend as I was growing up. I bet she could have bullied a bully for me.
F Human Monk 1
Rina examines her hands as if just now noticing the bruises and cuts on them. Then she shrugs, "Yeah, probably." She smiles though, almost proud of her roughness.
"Monks eschew personal possessions, including weapons. So, we train without them." She takes another swig of her mead, looking a bit smug about using the word 'eschew' properly,.
Mhmmm..." The old man vocalizes... And as you look at him you notice he had fallen asleep sitting up, his hat tipped sideways ....
Male Human Rogue/1
Naldoc nods to Rina, seemingly satisfied with the explanation. "You might have to show me sometime. I've been in a few fights myself but I wasn't always very good at hitting back with my fists."Geez, here I am always complaining about what we never had and there are people out in the world that actually 'eschew personal possessions' and think that's the best way to live. Sounds crazy if you ask me. You gotta have stuff, otherwise we wouldn't own a trading post full of things people need. And you gotta have money in order to get the stuff you need... unless you're a thief.
And that's another thing I haven't figured out. I have the training of a thief but I've never stolen anything more than a piece of fruit or a loaf of bread, and only because of hunger. Can I really be a thief and hang around with the likes of a monk or a soldier?
Male Human Rogue/1
Master of the Campaign wrote: Mhmmm..." The old man vocalizes... And as you look at him you notice he had fallen asleep sitting up, his hat tipped sideways .... Oops, I had completely forgotten that the old man was here with us. aybe I should have asked him a few things too. "How much of that stuff did you let him drink? He's out like a snuffed candle."
F Human Monk 1
Rina shrugs, "Just a sip. Guess that means we'll have to keep watches."
Male Human Rogue/1
Keep watch? I hadn't thought about security."Oh, ok. Um, well, I just I can take first watch if that's alright with everyone else. Just tell me what to do if I see something."
F Human Monk 1
Rina laughs, "Yell real loud?" She doesn't mean to be mocking, really, but might seem that way.
HP 12/12, AC 20
"Quietly wake the people nearest to you, and set yourself for danger. The people you wake up wake the people next to them while they arm themselves. Casters need more sleep than the rest of us, so they get first and last watch."
F Human Monk 1
This seems like a better idea than Rina's, so she grins and nods at Kale's suggestions, though then she is curious, "Do we have a magic user with us?" She's curious to meet one.
Male Human Rogue/1
"Right. OK then. You still want me to take first watch then or should I wait?"
Male Human Ranger-1
A bellow of a yawn comes from the wagon and Chadwick arises from his long nap. After he does a long stretch he takes off his hat and scratches while looking around the group with blurry eyes, "Now did someone mention a drink?"
Male Human Rogue/1
"...or maybe Chadwick should take that first watch?" Naldoc had forgotten all about the boastful bowman. "He seems... well rested."
Do Not Forget: nobody trusts magic users, so you would keep out secret until absolutely needed.... Then hopefully saving everyone convinces them to trust you...
F Human Monk 1
Rina waggles her flagon at Chadwick, sniggering at Taldoc's 'rested' comment.
HP 12/12, AC 20
yes .... Army is more understanding than civilian though... Most healing was "miracles" to common folk
Male Human Rogue/1
Last post for me tonight, so Naldoc is off to bed assuming its late and such. He'll take whatever watch is appointed to him, though he'd prefer to take the last watch since he is sure there are no "casters" among the group... whatever a caster is.
Male Human Ranger-1
"WHAT?WATCH?.........." Chadwick gives a confused look to Naldoc then slowly looks around and starts to figure it out, "Awe yes watch, never fear the vigilant eye of Chadwick "SureShot" Nor'vell is watching over you!" He gives a slight bow as he finishes.
F Human Monk 1
Rina just snickers harder, comfy in her warm spot by the fire.
HP 12/12, AC 20
"Good. You can take middle watch then." Kale says to Chadwick.
Male Human Ranger-1
"Very well then that will give some to scrounge up some food." He takes the offered flagon gratefully from Tina and takes a drink. "Thank you my dear, you are truly a blessing sent by Cayden himself." He returns the drink to then starts checking his bow and getting ready to do a little hunting. He looks around the area and tries to figure what he could find to eat out here.

The area has been plundered of all natural, or easy to get food sources... You find nothing nearby that could be eaten with any satisfaction....
Male Human Ranger-1
Chadwick frowns slightly as he realizes he's going to have to dip into his trail rations, he mutters as he gets one out. "Spending extra money already." He chomps away on the rations, "So if I'm taking middle watch whose got first and last?"
HP 12/12, AC 20
"Usually there are four watches, two hours each, First, Second, Middle and Last. Don't ask me why they're called that. I've never met anyone who knew."
"Naldoc volunteered for first, I'll take second. You have Mid. Tina, would you take last watch?"
F Human Monk 1
Rina ruffles at her hair. "Shore" She says, with a slight yawn.
Male Human Rogue/1
Naldoc takes his post, after asking for advice as to the best place to take position from Kale and the others. Once I do and assuming the night as started, I'll scan my surrondings with eyes and ears.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16

Male Human Rogue/1
So its morning then, assuming you meant all four watches.
The old man rises an hour before the sun attempting to hustle everyone into the wagon...
Male Human Rogue/1
Geez, where's the fire, old man? Give us some time to wake up and remember where we're at, ugh...
In a groggy voice Naldoc asks, "What's the rush?"
Assuming everyone else awakens I'll get my gear together, hop in the wagon and munch on my morning trail rations.
HP 12/12, AC 20
Also an early riser, Kale starts his morning with a short prayer and has his horse saddled and ready by the time the teamster is ready to move.
F Human Monk 1
As the last watch, Rina was already awake, yawning a bit and stretching as she comes out of her slumped position to get moving. That's easy enough for her to do, not having anything to pack. She hops into the wagon, finding a comfy corner to curl up in again, and maybe go back to sleep for a bit.
Male Human Ranger-1
As Chadwick awakes he looks over the group and comments,"See I told ya'll that good ole Chadwick would keep you all safe." He rolls back up his bed roll and gets on the wagon, "I'm with you old man lets get away from this boring place!"

Corynne quietly listens to the conversations of the others as she sets up her bedroll in the most comfortable space offered, glancing oddly at Sir Kale and Rina when they mention spell casters.
Seeing the watches already settled, she eats some of the rail rations she carries. making a point to plant her spear within easy reach before going to sleep.
Rising after some of the others, she greets the rest of the group with a cheerful smile as she packs her belongings to prepare for the road.
The next day passes with boring simplicity.... Climb in wagon, ride wagon all day... Until.
"Dagnabbit! Look over there, green skinned little bugger!" The wagon driver shouts, pointing at a goblin a hundred feet off and rapidly scrambling away
F Human Monk 1
RIna perks up. She was starting to get bored. She stands up in the wagon, swaying a bit with the movement of the wagon. She seems to be considering jumping out and running after it.
Male Human Rogue/1
Naldoc turns toward the direction the old man indicates, hoping to get a glimpse of the creature much like a tourist would try to spot a wild beast on safari. He has never seen a goblin before.
Naldoc then considers the fact that there could be more than one in the area.

okay I don't quite understand how you did an extra 2d8 on the critical hit....
Naldoc, you see two more hidden in the trees to to each side of the road....
