Excellent! I am glad to be part of this group. We are ready to delve into Thornkeep!
Lazlo shows as level 2, but he's level 3. He might even make it to 4 by the time we get rolling.

![]() |

I'm ready, as is Hugo!
The halfling stands, bow in hand, beside a small black bear.
Firmly level 3 here. Looks like we've got a solid mix.

Will get started on this shortly. I'm traveling today. How familiar are folks with Thornkeep? (Do you want to jump straight into the dungeon?)

![]() |

I am not familiar at all with Thornkeep, so I do not really know what I am voting for. I understood that this module is mainly a dungeon crawl, so in that respect I do not mind entering the dungeon right away.
Is there any information that we will miss if we enter the dungeon right away?

Lirianne Dahmok - pregen |

Not familiar with Thornkeep either. I'd be interested to know more about Thornkeep, but like Eolowyn I don't mind jumping straight into the dungeon.

![]() |

Will do a little backstory and stuff, but plan on jumping into the dungeon crawl in a week.
IC thread started here

Could everyone put their short statblock in the race line of their character sheet? Something like Eolowyn "Female Elf Ranger (3) hp 25/25 | Ac 19 T 14 FF 15 | Init +6 | Fort +4 Ref+7 Will +2 | Perception +9 Sense Motive +1 (+2 vs humans)"
Also, Seelah, can you start yours off with Seelah so we know who you are? :)

Quick heads up:
I will be on a business trip out of country on Monday and Tuesday, I hope to get a post in from the hotel, but can't guarantee anything. Please GMPC me if necessary.

![]() |

Lazlo, bookish Arcanist
Seeleh, melee Paladin
Lirianne, ranged Gunslinger
Eolowyn, archery Ranger
Jasper, ? Hunter (tho his Dex is high so I assume more ranged)
HP-wise, Seelah should certainly be in front; and if Jasper isn't melee-focused Lirianne should probably join her.
Considering our stature, Eolowyn might be best off in the back rank behind Lazlo and Jasper, since she can easily see over us to fire her bow. (Besides, having my squishy caster alone in back makes me squeamish, LOL.)
Thoughts?

Fine with me Lazlo. Eolowyn guards the back.

Lirianne Dahmok - pregen |

I thought Lirianne was in the room, my bad >.<
Lirianne makes her second attack with her off-hand weapon. This off-hand weapon is light. Because Lirianne does not have the Two-Weapon Fighting feat, she took -4 on her main hand's attack roll and -8 on her off hand's attack roll.
"If you wield a second weapon in your off hand, you can get one extra attack per round with that weapon. When fighting in this way you suffer a –6 penalty with your regular attack or attacks with your primary hand and a –10 penalty to the attack with your off hand. If your off-hand weapon is light, the penalties are reduced by 2 each. An unarmed strike is always considered light."
By using a paper cartridge, which is an Alchemical Cartridge Lirianne reduced the time she needs reload her pistol from a standard action to a move action:
"Alchemical cartridges make loading a firearm easier, reducing the time to load a firearm by one step (a full-round action becomes a standard action, a standard action becomes a move action, and a move action becomes a free action), but they tend to be unstable."
If Lirianne would've had the Rapid Reload feat she could even reduce the reload time to a free action when using cartridges :)

![]() |

If you make 2 attacks, doesn't that make it a full and not let you do a move action?

Lirianne Dahmok - pregen |

I had forgotten about that...
Meaning Lirianne took both attacks, but was then out of moves. So if she's going to reload Lirianne will have to do it next round.
Thanks for pointing it out!

Lirianne Dahmok - pregen |

Indeed it is! I really like the gunslinger class, and I'm pretty sure I'll create one. What I've just learned gave me some nice ideas for my character! ;)

![]() |

Just so long as you please, please, PLEASE don't become one of those gunslinger players who whine every time someone else "steals a kill" cos they want their grit point back.
On my short list of three players with whom I'll never, ever table again. >.<

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Oh, I hate spiders! Seelah shivers and runs out of the room running her hands all over her amor as if trying to shake something off.
And I am now inspired to make this PC. :-D

Apparently I need your full name (if you want) and email address (for possible boon winnings) as well.
You can PM that to me.

![]() |

The boon winning for this gameday is controlled by rolling a plain d20 for everyone (including the GM). Your call if you do that or we do. If a 20 is rolled the player chooses the boon, if a 1 is rolled a d4 decides.
If a boon is won, then you need the email adress, because the online VO has no access to Paizo's records.
Eolowyn's PFS is 24861-3, Faction Andoran.

![]() |

oh yeah. if you are going slow progression, or putting the chronicle sheet on a lvl 1 PC, let me know. I need to get you a different one.

![]() |

GM, can you put a note on my chronicle that i retrained to archetype beastmaster, costing 5 PP for retraining class skills?
Thanks

StephNyan |

I'd like the chronicle sheet of this scenario to go to Shayla Amye.
PFS#: 115025-1
Faction: Grand Lodge
Shayla will have to wait a few levels before she can apply the level 4 chronicle sheet, but that's fine with me! :)

![]() |

the chronicle sheet will be blank. you can put that in :)
I really would like you to initial the retraining, I can initial the change myself as I am a GM but I think that is dodgy behaviour and should be avoided.
After 1st level, if you own a copy of Pathfinder RPG Ultimate Campaign, you may use the retraining rules that begin on page 188 to alter your character. Such changes must be made in the presence of a Pathfinder Society GM, the GM must initial each change, and each change must be noted on an official Pathfinder Society Chronicle sheet.
You can use the retraining rules to acquire an archetype for your class or abandon an archetype you have.
To gain an archetype that replaces standard class abilities you already have, you must spend 5 days for every alternate class feature you would add, subtract, or replace by taking that archetype. At the end of the training period, you lose the standard class features and replace them with the archetype's alternate class features (if any).
Acquiring Beastmaster archetype will only replace the standard skill list for Eolowyn, as she is lvl 3 when retraining. Therefore costs are 5 PP and 10*5*3=150 gp.

here are the chronicle sheets. i just completed the form for logging the game on paizo.
