qwerty71 |
the large man looks at you for a second and says in a whispered voice "We have to fight. it is what they want. We have to obey, there are worse punishments. Fight me...he watches us"
and takes another swing at the archer...
SAP: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21...DMG: 1d6 ⇒ 3
Tametomo gets hit but notices the man did not put all of his strength behind the blow...
Tametomo Buruzuai |
Darn, I thought I could change something!
Tametomo nods, smiling. He tries to hit the man with his bare fist.
"You will bite the dust!"
Unarmed strike: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Fahd Bin Stavain PFS |
"C'mon, my mother hits harder than that! Put it on him!"
Tametomo Buruzuai |
No clue what to do right now. Were you waiting on me GM?
Disarm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Tametomo tries to disarm the man, grabbing the club.
Fahd Bin Stavain PFS |
"I think we have to let them settle this between each other," Fahd whispers to the others.
qwerty71 |
Apologies, did not register the updates to the thread.
Tametomo misses with his unarmed strike, and the initiate says to the archer..."They are watching, one of us must fall. i am sorry." and he swings again with the sap...
Sap: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16..DMG: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Tametomo disarms the man...who then tries to grapple Tametomo...
Grapple: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14... but does provoke from Tameto
Tametomo Buruzuai |
Unarmed strike AoO: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Tametomo tries to hit the man but misses.
"Fall then."
The palarcher picks up the sap and provokes and tries to hit the man with it, without hurting him too much, though.
Sap (two-hands), NL: 1d20 + 4 - 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 - 4 = 17 for Blugeonning: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
qwerty71 |
Tametomo lands a good crack on the side of the mans head and he falls down a little woozy...
"About time! I would have figured it would end the other way around. should have sent in the winner from yesterday to do this." Krant says as he walks up to the dazed larger man. "No more sneaking into the kitchen. Now get up and go clean the prayer hall." Looking at Tametomo Krant tells him "You should not have danced around with him for so long. But you will learn. Stay awake next time. OK Everybody get back in line so we can do some training."
Krant once again goes over how to interact with the public when the acolytes go out to mingle with the people.
*After training is dinner of meager portions again.
*After dinner is evening prayer with everyone lead by Egarthis again.
*After evening prayer Krant calls your group over and says "I misjudged you all. Two of you have proven useful in the yard and the others have gotten decent at their daily tasks, even staying up late with no complaints. You can be trusted now so we will give you back your gear. After transcription tonight we will use you all when we go out tomorrow to interact with the people and 'get' donations. Be ready." He hands you all back your gear taken after you were drugged.
*Late evening you are all brought back to the transcription room. Once again you will need a DC 10 Linguistics skill check or a DC 15 Intelligence check (you may take 10 on these checks) if you decide to stay and do the work.
Tametomo Buruzuai |
Tametomo stays emotionless on his face and just says "Thank you, Master Krant."
Intelligence: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (6) - 2 = 4
Intelligence: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (11) - 2 = 9
Intelligence: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (11) - 2 = 9
Intelligence: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (4) - 2 = 2
Intelligence: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (12) - 2 = 10
Intelligence: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (19) - 2 = 17
OMG, not this time...
Tametomo has a much more harder time copying the texts. Surely because of the fight. I didn't have to hit so hard. Poor guy.
Darvik Willowbrook |
Darvik simply nods to Krant. Faced with the transcription work again, Darvik hopes he gets the simple pages again.
Intel: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (3) - 2 = 1
Intel: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (18) - 2 = 16
Struggling at first, Darvik manages to complete the task.
Tyranius Bel-Baator |
Int: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (13) - 1 = 12
Int: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (19) - 1 = 18
Once again Tyranius has a difficult time initially copying the texts but quickly catches on once again.
His head is beginning to hurt as he becomes impatient and furious with this group of false-believers.
Fahd Bin Stavain PFS |
If Fahd can take ten on Linguistics even though it is untrained, he will do so, giving him a ten.
Having his gear in hand, Fahd felt better about things. He whispered to the others. "So, let's go out tomorrow. We can either see how things go, or we could just jump in and pound Krant. Knock him out and question him maybe. What do you all think?"
Fahd Bin Stavain PFS |
We have been given our gear back already.
qwerty71 |
It is in the room you are using to sleep in waiting for you after evening prayer. apologies for not making that clear. so you have your gear.
Tyranius Bel-Baator |
Oh ok. I thought that was just some of us. Well then. Shall we take over the fort? :). I will RP it out of course. Just want to make sure our course of action first.
Tametomo Buruzuai |
Shouldn't we sleep beforehand? We are all fatigued... And if he can try to avoid copying the texts, Tametomo will avoid to do so.
qwerty71 |
you will need to do the text copying if you want to sleep. Which means Tametomo would get 2 hours of sleep based on your rolls. Although I will allow someone to do a stealth check to do the copying for the others when senior acolytes are not looking. But the penalty of getting caught...
Tyranius Bel-Baator |
Tyranius stretches his tired muscles as he gets done copying the texts once again. As he sneaks off to gather with the rest his eyes burn with a dark fire.
Now that we have our equipment back, lets put an end to these false gods.... His body begins to be wracked by a vicious cough. Taking a moment to recompose himself he wipe a little spittle on the corner of his dusty robes and stands staright, well as straight as his body will allow hi to, once again as he smiles. ...Before they hurt anymore of these innocent people of course
Fahd Bin Stavain PFS |
"Do we want to take everyone out now, or do we want to isolate Krant tomorrow on our travels, and force him to give up all the secrets of this place?"
qwerty71 |
as soon as there is a consensus, i will continue, right now two votes to don gear and wreck vengeance.
qwerty71 |
Well you have your gear so you can don it and begin forcefully checking the temple for evidence if you so desire. Although i was hoping to catch Chella in some infraction and have her fight someone else with saps.
Fahd Bin Stavain PFS |
Fahd would have preferred to learn more about the place before willy nilly taking everyone out. Too bad, I guess, he thought as he quaffed his mutagen, increasing his already formidable strength and gaining a tougher skin. "I've got half an hour of increased strength. Let's do this then!"
+4 to Strength + 2 to AC.
Tametomo Buruzuai |
Tametomo puts back his gear on and take a little moment to pray and meditate to Shizuku. He then stands up and nods to the others. "Ready. Let's do this."
Chella Heireen |
Although i was hoping to catch Chella in some infraction and have her fight someone else with saps.
Glad that it didn't happen ;)
Chella is pleased to get back her holy symbol and the rest of her gear. She frowns a bit at the idea of taking everyone out. "Listen," she says, "I am aware that you have been badly treated, like me, and you want to get revenge for this, but, perhaps some of these men are willing to abandon their evil ways and to repent. Let me talk to them and try to convince them before any attack is made. And if they are really irredeemable, then I will help you to get rid of them."
I think I will be in a minority on this one...
Fahd Bin Stavain PFS |
"Smart, Chella. We have to remember to keep some of them alive, so they can tell the authorities about their misdeeds. As our evidence of their evil."
Tyranius Bel-Baator |
Tyranius ponders.
Yes, Maybe the woman is onto something. If we keep some alive. Perhaps after she speaks to them of this... this repentance then maybe I can convince them to continue working in the ways of Mephistopheles.
Tyranius begins to grin as he clasps his hands together. That is a wonderful idea. I agree that all of these men cannot be... bad as you say. Maybe they just need a true god to follow.
qwerty71 |
i updated the map and placed you all in the barracks room. just move yourselves to where you want to go first
Fahd Bin Stavain PFS |
How about 7, 10, 9, 8 in that order?
qwerty71 |
The group dons their gear then step out into the hallway (area 7)
just provide me an order of march on the map. i placed you all near area 11.
Fahd Bin Stavain PFS |
Let's go through the door north to the smaller gray room. Then we can come back to 12 and explore the other gray rooms.
Darvik Willowbrook |
I'll go second in line as I'm not the best trap-seeker and perception-fella.
Darvik follows Fahd as the brawler suggests a course of action.
qwerty71 |
Fahd:1d20 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Chella:1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Rye:1d20 + 0 ⇒ (2) + 0 = 2
Darvik:1d20 + 0 ⇒ (7) + 0 = 7
Tyranious:1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Tametomo:1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
As the group begins to go towards the northern door they realize the last time they checked the outer door to this area it was locked, now it is unlocked..
Fahd Bin Stavain PFS |
Fahd tries to locate any possible traps on the door. If there are none, he opens the door.
Perception 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Tyranius Bel-Baator |
Tyranius follows from the back of the group. This almost seems like a trap. Like they knew this was going to happen. Tyranius says as he sneers, curling his upper lip.
qwerty71 |
Though unlocked, the door leading into this staircase takes a bit of work to open...DC 10 STR check
assuming you get it open
The iron door opens with a screech to reveal a staircase that leads down, curving away to the east. There is a musky odor in the air, like that of a caged animal.
