Thank you all for your patience. While it no longer feels like I'm trying to swallow hot coals every time I swallow (now it only feels like a large rock) I'm still not at 100% but should be able to keep up with regular postings from here on out. With the three of us being sick within a two week span I've really had my hands full and appreciate everyone's understanding.

It's actually amazing how many cultures believe in eating the heart (albiet normally cooked) soon after a kill. Many hunters I knew growing up would cook that the day of the kill for supper. I could totally see Taki thinking it gives strength and poor Aero, being more educated as such, thinking "Eww.. where's the cook pot??" heh.

What are you talking about?!?! Aerodus just saved her life, and the stress from being in mortal danger just hit her all at once. Obviously she is weeping tears of joy at being saved, and tears of fear at being so scared.

Oops! Yeah - hit points are statistical average: d6=3.5, d8=4.5, d10=5.5, d12=6.5. Round down this level, then up next level (personally I find it easier to just record the '.5' of a hit point, even though it does nothing in game, to remind me when I've accumulated two of 'em for an extra full hit point... if that makes any sense...).
