An urban mystery adventure for 1st-level characters. (Tier 1-2)
Murder’s Mark is an adventure of mystery, illusion, and mob justice for 1st-level characters, written for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game and compatible with the 3.5 edition of the world’s oldest RPG. This volume also contains a gazetteer of the traveling Umbra Carnival and a brand-new monster pulled from history and mythology, all of which can easily be adapted for use in any campaign setting.

Player Name: Pirate Rob
Character Name: Encara
PFS#: 757- 39
Dayob if applicable: N/A
Email address: vcRob@pfsprep.com
Specialty: Encara is an oracle, but gets inspiration for skills like an investigator.
Encara is currently in a pbp that I expect to be done long before October and make her level 2. If not I have several other characters available. I have played Murder's Mark before but not at level 2 and was several years ago and I barely remember anything. If that's at all an issue I'm happy to step aside.

That's fine, Encara. Thanks for letting me know. Just let the others take the lead and stay true to your character and we're golden. Any other players have already played or GMed this scenario, please let us know. Sticking to first-come, first-served for signup. It is an evergreen, after all.

This is more than interest, as I have never played this yet, but it will either be a brand new character or one that is currently spoken for and needs to finish up, possibly being a lvl 2 come game day. Is that ok for now?

grimdog73: I'm willing to add you as 7th PC, since you were the first to respond and it was my faulty link-fu that led to confusion on your part (who knows, come Oct 1, we'll see if we still have 7).
Post here from the alias that you want to run in the scenario (and mention 'grimdog73' in the post).

I will bring this guy. He will have his first chronicle sheet finished soon.
Player Name: Tundran
Character Name: Jerb
PFS#: 161871-12
Faction: Grand Lodge
Dayob: none
Specialty: Jerb uses the misdirection mesmerist trick to give his teammates flat-footed targets. He will focus that on sneak attack/precision damage dealers if applicable.

Just asking for information because I've never played an official pathfinder event. For argument sake, since this is a first level, would you be forced to use a pre gen if you have never played in an official event, or would it be the time to get your own character through the door because it starts at first level?

GM Uktar |

Sorry for the lag in response, but Leppin is correct. That being said, this table is full, so I'm afraid you'll need to look elsewhere for your first game.
In terms of playing a new PFS (Pathfinder Society) character, you're welcome to create any kind of PFS legal 1st level character you wish. (There are a couple of specific beginner quest/scenarios that require pregens, but most don't.)
Starting Gold is set at 150gp. Starting HP is max for first level of your class (plus Con Mod, Toughness if you have it, and possibly Favored Class Bonus).
To have anything out of the ordinary, in terms of race, class, feats, etc, you need to own the appropriate sourcebook, and it must be PFS legal.
go to this page
Pathfinder Society Page.
Read the Roleplaying Guild Guide, and check out Additional Resources and Campaign Clarifications links for more complicated rules questions about how they work in PFS. PFS games are supposed to be Rules As Written (RAW), so no homebrew, 3rd party, etc.
(Also, FYI: discussion thread for a game isn't really the place for this. I suggest you check out other areas of the discussion boards for rules, PFS info, etc.)
