Here is the place where you list your Character Information for Signing Up!

![]() |

Hello, this is the character I have signed up with although I have various other options at high tier.

![]() |

This is the character I signed up with.
(I also have a level 13 investigator, if that would be better.)

GM Chie |

Well Well, this looks like a pretty great team!
As the Scenario isn't out quite yet, I think General Tactics / Character descriptions would be a great thing to start with!
Also, it's looking like Everyone is 15, which should make for a Fun High Level Adventure!

![]() |

Currently I count 3 oracles, a sorcerer and an inquisitor. Should be great.

KULIK see no way this could possibly go wrong.

![]() |

OK, so Jin-Goro is an oracle of bones with a focus on various necromantic spells. He can animate the dead but rarely finds it worth bothering doing. He is happy to hang out in the front lines and has a reasonable AC, better when buffed. He has a large range of spells due to the FCB but his go to is breaking peoples bones with persistent boneshatter followed by quickened boneshatter.
Outside of combat he has decent knowledge skills across the board, social skills galore and a lot of buff, scouting and utility spells. Shadow walk, heroes feast, shadow evocation/conjuration, life bubble, fom death ward etc. I see a lot of overlap on our spell lists but that should be fine. If nothing else it means everyone will be covered by key buffs like freedom of movement or air walk.

Looking at our various spell lists we should be fine. I suspect any fight might start with a barrage of debuffs, dazing shadow evocations, waves of ecstasy, multiple boneshatters, chain lightning. Magic immune critters like golems might give us a bit of an issue but greater sand whirlwind should leave them hopelessly vulnerable to your archery.

![]() |

There is a fair amount of overlap. Of course, no one really says no to multiple heals in a round either. Nice thing about all these CHA casters is we have face skills handled as well.
If we think we need more melee, I could bring in my investigator, but I have a slight preference for the oracle.

![]() |

Stick with the oracle. We can hang around in melee and heal tank our way through with the "squishies" protecting the inquisitor damage dealer.

3 Oracles, a Blaster Sorcerer, a Ranged DPS Inquisitor and a Melee Hellknight. I thought that sounded pretty balanced!

![]() |

/\/\ what he said
I hadn't noticed the Hellknight signed up. That gives us a nice full on high tier group. I can still make a few adjustments if needed, Jin's last two levels are GM credit. Are there any spells people think we are missing?

![]() |

Finally realized there was a link to the thread in the spreadsheet!
This looks like a really solid party - DEFINITELY a fan of a bunch of Oracles being around while I am swinging around a vicious weapon. Vargo here is a DPS, but obviously not as efficient as a high end archer. His main things in combat are sundering and Demoralizing, though I think my Smites may come in handy too based on the adventure description. He's also immune to fire so feel free to drop your delayed blast fireballs just RIGHT on top of me.
I may actually get my bonus damage from my challenge for once too, these are exciting times.
If someone here has the mending orison/cantrip or the ability to pick up mending or would allow me to spend the money getting them a level 0 page of spell knowledge learning mending I would appreciate it!
I have an ability that requires me to break my armor but a mending from a caster this high level gets me back to functional between fights

![]() |

I have mending covered. (Just added my orisons to my profile.)

![]() |

Bear in mind mending does have a 10 minute casting time and only restores 1d4 hp. I have it as well. Make whole would be better but also takes 10 minutes but it does restore magic items fully depending on caster level.

![]() |

Yeah its a strictly between battles deal.
I only need mending because I am not dealing hp damage to my own armor, I am just inflicting it with the 'broken' condition which mending fixes.

![]() |

I'll throw my helm into the ring in case the GM takes on seven players for this one. Haven't seen many adventures yet for my 12th level dwarven ranger (he's my oldest and my favorite), so I hope it works out! Could be helpful to the party if we need to do any tracking or the like, and grants +2 Favored terrain bonuses to the party in underground and forest environments. Radek is also pretty good with his shield and axe in melee.

GM Chie |

Hey Radek!
With a table full of 15s I think it might be best to hold off for a moment. That being said, Running for 7 players is pretty tough, especially for Seeker Level content.
I can offer another session of it later if you would like? Or any other Seeker Level Adventure if you want. I'll give you Top Priority!

![]() |

Thanks GM Chie, that'd be awesome! Whatever you're willing to run is fine with me, as I'm not familiar with any Seeker Level adventures. I'll keep an ear out, and have fun with this adventure! :)

GM Chie |

Mission Briefing is up! Feel free to talk Tactics here, and do introductions there!

![]() |

Jin casts a fair number of buff spells at the end of each day. I noticed a couple of couple have the caster level boosting ioun stone, if I could borrow one for buffing that would be much appreciated. He generally maintains the following:
Extended heroes feast: Temp HP: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Extended Life Bubble: He can cover two people for 24 hours with this. Depending on spell slots left at the end of the day he will get everyone although I think others also have this.
Extended Magic Vestment: He uses this on his armour and shield. With the Ioun Stone this goes to +4 and I am happy to cast extra for other people.
Extended False Life: for an extra 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (7) + 10 = 17 temp HP
Extended Delay Poison: Happy to cast this on others as well
Extended unseen servant: For general helpfulness
While travelling Jin will generally keep extended freedom of movement active. With the Ioun Stone each casting lasts 5 hours 20 minutes. For out of combat knowledge checks he generally uses Page-Bound Epiphany for an extra +10 to the roll.
In combat he prefers to try and disable enemies quickly with a range of different spells. If we encounter undead then he can control them. He tends not to keep undead minions around and is happy for people to destroy any controlled minions after a battle is ended. He is particularly good with haunts, being able to both calm them so they cannot attack and speak with them so we can learn how to lay them to rest.

![]() |

Vargo is really simple.
He has two freebie 800 gold items from the Dark Archives which I can retrieve after the briefing.
Unless it sounds like this is going to be a multiple day adventure i typically use those on a Snapleaf and a Potion of Displacement.

![]() |

Bellum generally does the "support" stuff in combat, opening with blessing of fervor, providing condition removal and healing if we need it, and forcing re-rolls on critical threats with Divine Interference. I also have communal delay poison and freedom of movement to give out, so we should be able to cover everyone pretty well.
My blockbuster combat move is dazing shadow evocation, but I try to use it sparingly. (Dazing can get a little un-fun IMO.)
Outside of combat, Bellum's a master of disguise, expert on world religions, and charming fellow.

![]() |

I will update KULIK's profile over the weekend.
About the only thing KULIK does in daily prep is cast greater magic weapon each morning on his bow.
In combat, he typically keeps himself between baddies and squishy casters, on whom he is very reliant to use his bane ability effectively. (Please call out monster types!) Otherwise he's very see-bad-thing, shoot-bad-thing.

![]() |

*waves to the rest of the party*
I am excited to knock the dust off this PC :-)
Essentially, he is a party face, and blaster, but enjoys locking down opponents with Dazing Ball Lightning, and if there is a particularly tasty humanoid opponent, I wouldn't say no to Quickened Ill Omen + Possession for a little ablative armor ;-)

![]() |

Everyone should take note of the extra 16 temp HP from Heroes Feast as well as its other benefits. I know three of us can cast it but as I have extend as a feat it is probably best coming from me so we get the benefits for 24 hours. It looks like we have prep time so I assume the HP roll is simply the one from the day before we travel to the location.
Does anyone want an extended delay poison or magic vestment (+4), again cast the day before we depart? Same question for life bubble? Again I think several people have this. I will definately be covering myself the day before we head out but can cover others as well.

![]() |

Happy to take the life bubble and delay poison, thanks! I'll make a note of it.

![]() |

Vargo is a Grump who distrusts magic but he will begrudgingly accept helpful buffs.

![]() |

Oh hey, this is a thing.
Jin, if you’d like to borrow my extend metamagic rod to save the level increase, feel free.

![]() |

I am casting my long term stuff at the end of each day so if I have the slot spare I just use that. If I dont then I will nab the rod thanks.

![]() |

No problem, if we need it to restore some buffs after a dispel, that works too.
Sierra is my white mage, so as long as you protect her, she will remove whatever statuses you might incur. If nothing gets through our defenses, she has life link to manage damage, and a few offensive spells to apply on point targets. Things like Particulate Form and Energy Body tend to keep her from catching a bad case of the dead (unless you happen to be a monarch in Varisia). When she had absolutely nothing else to do, she managed to cast greater restoration in combat, so that's a thing.

![]() |

I remember, it was quite a thing and probably saved all of your lives.

![]() |

On the other hand, Kurik has bonuses within sky citadels, and will probably get on with our contact better. :/ Have to think about it today. Any preference from the party?
Edit: Nope, Sierra has too much history for this one. Kurik will have to be the replay.

GM Chie |

I am greatly entertained by your herald, GM Chie, and its likely inspiration.
As with most things, there is a story behind that.
Now, the last (And most important) part.
Let's talk about Hard Mode.
There is a Hard Mode for this scenario. For hard mode, the decision MUST be unanimous. Additionally, I prefer to make this a private vote, ensuring that those that are not interested in Hard Mode do not feel pressured to do so. Please send me a Private Message with your preference for Hard Mode. (A simple Yes or No is fine)

![]() |

Oh my god, that Aura of Doom mixes so well with Vargo.
You may be the first divine caster he has ever gotten along with!

GM Chie |

Well my friends, It appears that you are in for a Walloping.
HARD MODE ENGAGED
Slides should be up tonight!

![]() |

On the up side, it can make for a very short PbP!

![]() |

HARD MODE ENGAGED
Slides should be up tonight!
Oh my, this should make things interesting.

![]() |

Jin will purchase a scroll of restoration for 800gp before we enter just in case. I know Sierra can cast it but having extra's seems like a good idea.

![]() |

I'm here! Come and kill me! Do it now!

![]() |

Me too, I can take it!

![]() |

Anyone else's formatting going wonky at all? I had my last gameplay post all in ooc tags, but half of it is showing up in normal text.

![]() |

OOC tags seem to cut out over returns for some reason. I usually have to start a new tag each time.
Sierra will hit a BoL if needed on Nikolai, which will hopefully be enough after DI.
Kulik, hopefully you can help remove the threats instead of burning glove charges.

![]() |

Eh. DI, although appreciated, won't do much, in the long run, since those other attacks will just come my way.
The thought is appreciated, though :-)

![]() |

I have 1st levels to burn, and it would be less damage to heal. Fate seems to conspire against us, however.

...
Thanks, that sorted it.
