Oh damn!
The touch is light but firm, and Salubri finds his will being rapidly drained! He stumbles on and manages a hit on the lamia, but he thinks that he might have suffered more than he dealt.
Seizing the opportunity, Wayreth darts forward over the table and attacks the lamia from the other side, delivering a painful strike to in her back. Prig continues his attack on the other lamia, but is unable to get his lance to pierce her hide. But at least he avoids being charmed by them for now.
Jani conjures a swarm of insects from her gullet that swarms over the lamias.

But she is not falling for it either!
The nearer lamia sees that her sister has been able to substantially drain Salubri's will and decides to try her wiles on him instead.
"And you, angelic one? Will you suffer two ladies to be brutalized by your allies?" Salubri, DC 15 will save or be charmed.
"Help us! her sister chimes in, hoping to even the odds by charming another of your number. If Salubri made his first save, this one is against him as well. If he failed, this one is targeted at Wayreth.

For what it's worth, they also need to make DC 11 fortitude checks against poison: Swarm—injury; save Fort DC 11; frequency 1/round for 2 rounds; effect 1d2 Str; cure 1 save.
The swarm continues in the direction it moved last, stopping when it reaches the lamia. 1d6 ⇒ 4 damage and saves vs. distraction and poison again.
Jani enhances their spell with a boost and holds out a hand, and a cone of flame engulfs the lamia nearest to them. 4d4 ⇒ (4, 2, 1, 3) = 10 damage, Reflex save 19 (using the Eastern Mysteries trait) to halve.
Rowanna Nachtalus |
Rowanna didn't try to put one of them to sleep, she used Ear Piercing Scream to do damage and try to do Daze the one closest to her. It should have made a Fort save, not a Will Save.
GM Aram Zey |
Sorry Rowanna, my mistake. But with that roll she made the save anyway. I'll add the damage.

I do have constant Protection From Evil up, which should block Charm and similar abilities completely, assuming the Lamia are evil.

Salubri gives the lamia a left-right, but only the right hits, and Salubri's ki has been weakened to the point that she easily resists his attempt to stun her.
Wayreth attacks her from the other side, and is able to strike her twice in the kidneys. Prig has a little less luck at the other side of the table, with both his lance strikes missing their mark.

GM Aram Zey |
Caught between Wayreth and a very fed-up Prig, the second lamia finally falls.
With the invaders dead, you are able to use Aram Zey's notes to seal the portal, ensuring that no more invaders will be coming out of the tapestry again. For now at least.
You investigate the body of Zey and find that his body has been looted, and the body itself has a strong lingering aura of necromancy. Rowanna and Jani are able to ascertain that whatever has been done to Zey's body has made it impossible to bring him back to life or communicate with his soul through conventional spells or tools.
Will try to rush you all along to see if you can finish the third area before the deadline. You can roll for your healing in-between areas in your next post.
Not being able to accomplish any more here, you move on to the last area you were instructed to check - the Sky Key Chamber.
This tall library is ringed by a walkway around its perimeter, which provides access to a second level of towering bookshelves. A broad Qadiran rug leads to a short pedestal within a tall glass case that itself sits within an inscribed circle—all cordoned off by a velvet rope suspended by brass poles. Several plush chairs and a few low tables bearing curios line the lower floor, and two decorative suits of armor stand at attention, each with a crossbow resting against its shoulder. Heatless torches blaze with remarkably even light in sconces throughout the room, and a tall pendulum clock against the eastern wall ticks each passing second as its hands move erratically.
The pedestal itself stands empty, which presents a concern, for it is where the Sky Key should be. In its place is a strange dimensional forces that causes the space in this room to bend in an uncomfortable way.
Once you enter the room proper, you must make a DC16 fort save or be sickened.
Within seconds of you opening the door to the chamber, a ghostly image of a Pathfinder appears in the center of the room, where his likeness eerily begins to slide through the display case. His voice echoes as he speaks to an unseen party.
“Oh no, they’ve stolen the Sky Key. It also appears they disrupted the auxiliary stabilizer, too.” He pauses before continuing. “Do you feel that? I feel kind of sick all of a sudden. I hope they didn’t try to disassemble it—or worse, bring it too close to the tapestry. Wasn’t that why Zey kept them so far—” The figure’s words go unfinished as he begins to scream and dissolve, fading from view in a matter of seconds whilst two more figure warp into view. Their skins are flame-red, and they appear to be a strange mix of insect and reptile, with four arms and twitching, fanged mandibles. They chitter as they look around, then upon seeing you adopt fighting stances.

Jani's charge from her mage armor wand instantly pays off as the force armor deflects several of the Xill's blows aimed at Salubri, although one thrust of the Xill's shortsword manages to punch through. Prig's heavy armor fares a little better, warding off all the attacks against him.
Initiative order:
Jani (sickened 1 round)
?????? (-16 + fatigued + evil eye 8rds,-)
-----------------------------------------------
Salubri (-9)
Rowanna
Prig (-, sickened 2 rounds)
Wayreth (-2)
Your turn again. Prig and Jani need to keep saving against the sicken effect until they pass a save.
Rowanna Nachtalus |
Rowanna tries to place a Misfortune hex on the northern Xill that Jani hexed with Evil Eye.
DC 18 Will save, or roll d20 rolls twice, take worse result for 1 round.
Wayreth |
Exiel keeps doing what he does best.

Prig Lil |
Unfortunately since I charged, a shortsword and a claw hit me.
Fort Save: 1d20 + 10 - 2 ⇒ (4) + 10 - 2 = 12
Prig feels a little nauseous from the shifting dimensions, and decides attacking is probably not best. "You silly creatures - you xink you're so cute with you're millionz of attackx. Well, you are nothing compared to Prig! Ze great frog prince!"
Dazzling Display, -4 for the size difference, -2 for sicken, +2 for the smine lance.
Intimidate: 1d20 + 13 - 4 - 2 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 13 - 4 - 2 + 2 = 12
Well, that 3 wasn't doing anything anyway.
Jani Lee Two-spirit |
Fort: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Jani still looks bleary. Nonetheless, they focus their mind on the other creature, and attack its defenses as well.
Another Evil eye, this one on the southern Xill, also against Saves. DC 18, yadda, yadda.
