Saera is part of the Cheliax faction, does that mean she recognizes/knows some people of the faction that are in the Chelish embassy?

![]() |

No, not all Chelish Pathfinders know the embassy staff, your are presumably acquainted with your faction leader - who is The Disappeared in this scenario - but at this point its a met briefly she might remember your name kind of deal. Probably more helpful not to know them, or rather be known by them, for this scenario in truth.

![]() |

Have done some of the background, will fill the rest in tomorrow. I'll then also post my introduction! So for this day good night and see you tomorrow ^^

![]() |

So, it has been suggested to me (ha, ha, get it?) that I might be able to contribute to this fight from the doorway. As long as I don't come back into the bedroom, I might make ranged attacks. What do you think about that, GM?

![]() |

I had a solid hit on the gargoyle headed one earlier. He is the most wounded then. The other one has minor dmg I believe.

![]() |

Did you intend to switch targets then Boderus? If so its 5 damage to each.
I would advise you to make use of flanking and concentrate your attacks, you can always delay until someone flanks with you and talk to one another.

![]() |

Essentially since Saera and Vanya were forced to go in and serve Bevek suggested that you all do the same and exit in the far corridor - right next to the waiting room. Since I am ruling that the unifroms mean you do not need to make a check in that corridor I skipped you ahead to entering the waiting room. Please feel free to retcon anything you wish I am happy to deal with it, etc. Basically you bypassed the garden by going through the curtains of one side of the ballroom and out the other side.

![]() |

No retcon request here, all sounds great so far :D
That's presuming the chess-longe in the waiting area doesn't try to eat us...

![]() |

Nope, pretty much done at this point. Can people please roll their day jobs if they have them and ensure they have their PFS number are in their alias or post them here.
I will roll for boons once we are actually done.

![]() |

PFS#: 115025-7
Day Job - Craft (Alchemy): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Is there also a scenario where we have to rescue Zarta? I'd love to play that as well :)

![]() |

I believe there is but my understanding is its higher level and I have yet to play it - which I wish to do before GMing it. Yes its level 5-9 Fortress of the Nail.
I had Library of the Lion in mind for a follow up if anybody is interested. Its another low combat scenario, 0 in my run through, so might be good for this group. It does lean towards knowledge skill though and I would say be sure to stock up on PFS essentials - to my mind healing wands, alchemists fires and/or acids, etc.

![]() |

I'd be up for it! I have Library of the Lion on my want-to-play list. I really like this party combination, the characters work well together. Knowledge checks shouldn't be a problem with a bard aboard, if Starlene's also up for it.
If we receive the full 2PP for this scenario, Saera will spend it on a Wand of CLW. Since level 1 characters are allowed to change stuff in between scenarios I'll take Use Magic Device and will change some other things.
GM, thanks for running this game! It was very fun!

![]() |

I'm down for a follow up. This group has been a lot of fun. Although, I do need to pick up a couple of things before the next adventure.

![]() |

Yup I'll add my voice to the general praise for the group, it has just the right amount of posting speed for both players and GM, and a nice amount of humor too :D
Thanks Broken GM for running this and wanting to follow up with another, Library of the Lion sounds great.
I am going to take advantage of the free level 1 retraining though and put CLW on my spell's known!

Just to give you guys a heads up the game does not seem to be on the list, though I definitely submitted the form and there seemed to be no issues. I do not imagine it will be a problem, I've contacted Jesse via the Gameday 2 thread and will PM if I do not get a response today. I guess its only an issue if one of us actually wins a boon though so lets see...
Bevek Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 1
Boderus Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 3
Saera Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 7
Starlene Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 6
The Broken GM Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 11
Vanya Boon: 1d20 ⇒ 8

Okay just got the reporting tool, I need Bevek's email and the form requests real names rather than handles, though I am allowed to put down Anonymous if you do not wish to give them. Please either post them here or PM me if you do not feel comfortable with an open post.

![]() |

The form asks for Player Name and PC Name. In the game I reported a few weeks ago I used everyone's default forum name as the Player Name. So for me that was StephNyan.
The game reported as normal (I also submit default forum names as Player Names when normally reporting games), and I got a confirmation that the game was succesfully submitted. It also shows in my PFS credit list.

![]() |

The instruction email asks for real names, so I am going to follow it, but like I said its fine to enter Anonymous if you are not comfortable with that.
If a player wishes to not enter their own name enter "Anonymous" as the Player Name.

![]() |

@Saera, do you know if we are meant to report games via the normal method as well, or do we just use the reporting link?
Bevek Chronicle
Saera Chronicle
Starlene Chronicle
Boderus Chronicle
Vanya Chronicle
Here are your Chronicles folks, let me know if there are any issues and I will correct ASAP.

![]() |

@GM: Only the reporting link. The event organisers will report it to paizo and make sure the game shows up on our lists. Since all Gameday games have the same event number I think they created 1 event, and all the games being run for the Gameday are reported as sessions.
Question: would it be possible to get a higher resolution of the chronicle sheet? I can barely read what's on it. If google Docs doesn't allow for it I could send you my email, and perhaps you could send it to me?

![]() |

Sorry for posting here this late, my screen didn't show any new posts here, oddly.
Thanks again for the game, let me know when you want to start Library of the Lion please.
Also, a question: cloak of elvenkind costs only 1500gp? Shouldn't that be 2500 gp? Typo?

![]() |

@GM: That's also what I do, except it ends up bigger. Perhaps 'cause I have a rather large screen. Anyway, I downloaded it again in as png instead of jpeg, and I can read the text better now! :)
@Vanya: If a chronicle sheet shows another price than the usual price, that means you can get a 'discount' ;)

![]() |

Looked it up, and apparently PFS never has any spontaneous discounts: we always ought to go by the standard price.
Bummer :(

![]() |

This was my first PFS game, and I'm not quite clear on how equipment purchases between scenarios works. Am I supposed to submit a list to the GM for approval, or is it run more on an honor system?

![]() |

I was looking into a CLW wand, but I'm not really sure on how to use it. It says that I am able to use the spell, so far so good. I will need to roll, that will be 1d20 + 3 for me, and I need to pass a DC of 20. I also read that it would not be possible for me to take a 10 or a 20 on the use magic device skill. So would it be useful for me to buy the wand? I would barely be able to use it with this set-up, well I would be able to but I would fail a lot :(

![]() |

Yes, all prices are standard unless specifically noted otherwise, a fair number of Chronicles do have errors sadly.
I would recommend every character take a healing wand, you are going to need one at some point and many players consider it almost rude not to have one - why should they spend there wand charges to heal you when you have not bothered to get one, etc. Almost every group will have someone able to use a cure wand for you, and if there is not then it becomes even more valuable, UMD is the second most valuable skill in the game and keeps getting better as you level.
