I know PbP is new for some of you, so I will from time to time add stuff here for your benefit. Sorry to those who do not need this, I hope it does not come across as patronizing.
I'm not sure how to position Torgat, as I can't tell from the map which of the scaled creatures Dorgun is attacking. I assume that Dorgun would provide cover to the creature he is engaged with, so Torgat targets the other one.
My emphasis. Due to the slow nature of PbP this is the best we can do. If something is unclear, please ASK. At a table-top game I might be able to see your bewildered face and ask you what clarification will help. Secondly, make assumptions and post an action based on that. But please note what assumption is being made. I will also assume you are acting like trained (if not very experienced) adventurers.
Torgat moves to the doorway to get a clear shot, then fires an acid bolt at one of the creatures.[dice=Acid dart (ranged touch)]1d20 + 2; 1d6 Nat20!
There (EDITED for grollix homonyms) is a preview button at the bottom of the posting window. You can check what the roll is before submitting and in this case roll to confirm. Please note that the message-board system will keep these rolls active (to prevent folks from re-rolling unfavorable dice). This means that if you add a second 'dice' command it can change what is below it. For example: 1. attack dice (nat 20), 2. save dice (nat 18).
Becomes: 1. attack dice (nat 20), 2. confirm dice (nat 18), 3. save dice (nat 1 you die). It is best to add confirmation rolls to the end of the post.If still allowed to act (though I suspect he won’t be), he’ll try to Snowball the enemy he has the clearest shot to.
As young creatures their stench is less than expected so you made the save. However, due to the crit, even though you can act you didn't use the spell. Similarly Z didn't have to shoot an arrow. Again due to PbP it is better to post an action and keep the game moving, than it is to wait for every single action to play out. If/then statements are also useful. :)
Drogun has healed58 from the previous fight[dice=CLW]1d8+1
Due to the fact that UMD is needed for cure light wounds (in this party), and something bad can happen on a bad UMD roll, we shouldn't take averages. Also opening the door, not only triggered the trap, but started the next combat and averages should not be taken in combat. Personally, the game is about dice, so dice should always be rolled. Also, taking the average is about saving time & posting once a day means a lot of time to fill between posts.
Finally, when making a long post like this one, you may get timed out. Copy the text of your post before hitting 'submit post' so you can paste it back in should you get dropped.

To make things easier at the end when we get to copy spells, I've uploaded Torgat's spellbook to Google Drive as a spreadsheet. The formulas for calculating the scribing cost are built in (not that it will matter, but the formula for calculating the cost to scribe a cantrip is different and will not work for any other level spell).

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

Cool. You should add that link to your profile.
It will be beneficial if everyone has something like this. Again I recommend having two copies of your spellbook for face to face tables; one for sharing with other casters, & one for use in game. A link with appropriate access is even better. :)
Sorry for missing yesterday. I will be back in a bit.

GM, can you roll for iniative, this is the second time I feel like I am getting left out of things, not because I am not posting but because things take place after I post.
I am not sure what you mean 'things happen after' you post, as Initiative is cyclical. Do you mean more people post after you in their daily posting cycle? Or too many things change after you post & your actions become unnecessary? Or is it something else? Can you please expand on this? :)
Because this is a game of dice, I think players would rather make their own rolls.* I am open for improvement though. If folks convince me there is a better or easier way, cool. :)

![]() |

Uh, not to contradict the GM or anything, but I do not believe our elf needs to roll to stabilize. She has 6 non-lethal damage meaning that she isn’t bleeding out. Only if her lethal damage exceeds her maximum HP does she have to start rolling for stabilization.

![]() |

Ylania: please roll to stabilize.
Just to clarify, Ylania isn’t unconscious, or hurt - Voarima is the one who is unconscious.

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

Oops. 4 of 6 hp is not -2 hp. My bad.
Also on the missed names. Arrrggghhh! That means however I need an action still from ylenia. Please post both round's actions if you would like.

I believe that ylania means that everybody else had already posted initiative and their actions before she got to post so they missed an action.
I personally share their opinion that in PBP the DM should roll initiative. It makes it easier for PC’s to coordinate actions (we don’t seem to be doing that very well this game, either)

Give benefits based on the number of goals completed.
Unless you have already checked off a box on a previous season card, you must use the current season card, season 9.

I would be happy for the GM to roll initiative - it tends to speed things up in PbP, and none of us appear to have any feats or other abilities that would impact initiative beyond the ordinary modifiers.

I can roll initiative for everyone, as long as noone has objections.
Once I post the initiative order I will have to wait for an action to be posted right? I can't say I see the difference between that and posting an action with your initiative.
I think any lack of coordination is due more to the 1-round combats. :)
though the barbarian did ignore the wizard's attempt to lure the creature away.

I can’t seem to use the google slides
What are you having trouble with?
Meantime, go ahead and post what your character does in the Gameplay thread. If you would like someone to move your token on the map, just let us know where to move it in an out-of-character statement, like this: Someone please move my token one square up, and two squares left.

Though it helps, you do not have to be that specific even. Just let us know you want to close with nearest/bloodiest/least armored character and attack. Or move to a safe spot to shoot/cast/hide. I will always assume you act in a responsible fashion and not intentionally put you into a lava flow or flanked or into threatened space (if your listed action will draw an AoO frex).
But to your original post: Can you see the slides and not manipulate them, or can you not even see them? What can I do to help?

After some google searching I realised what I was doing wrong on my ipad. It doesn’t let me edit after I click the link, only if I hold and wait for it to come up with the option to open in sheets.

Gameday VI officially ends next Friday. I think we can be done by then, but due to the site outages last month we have been given a little more time. The extension is only to finish I still need to report, by the 17th.
Please give me your character's chronicle information (RL name, Character Name, PFS number, faction, slow track). I will worry about day jobs & purchases later. Since PbP Gameday is officially a convention, everyone has a chance to win a boon. Please roll a d20 and a d4. If you get a 19 or 20 please also include your email. If you do not want to put your email on a publicly viewable page please put 'private message' then send it to me in a PM or I can send you my email and we can from there.

Woot! Not sure what it means either, but Gaderffi is afraid of horses. He's more of a camel guy.

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

We did a season 0 this week at the local gathering and the 'Society has provided you with camels.' The cavalier was seriously considering a rebuild from warhorse to camel on account of the fun he was having with the camel. :)

Drogun & Ylania, I need your PFS numbers.
We are very close too finishing and then can put the experiment of 'Wizards Wanted' too its test and trade spells. :)
Noone has died, which is how I reported it. Let's keep that up.. Otherwise, reporting is done. :)

For what it's worth, I am not traveling over Thanksgiving weekend (for those of you outside the U.S., that's the next 4 or 5 days, depending on whether you are taking today off). Other than Thursday afternoon and evening, I am likely to be able to post more frequently than usual.

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

Should we do our Day Job checks now?
Sure, but next week is fine too. There is one floor not yet approached, and one that was unapproachable so currently bypassed.
EDIT: fortunately the found prisoner allows for most of the exposition of the story :)

Everyone should have a list of what spells they will be trading from each other caster. There are seven players, one with no spells and another that is you. There should be five other people you can learn spells from. The cost to learn a spell from a fellow Pathfinder is 5 gp (cantrip), 10 gp (1st level), 40 gp (second level) in rare inks and special materials. Learning a first level spell requires a DC 16 Spellcraft check. Since Spellcraft is trained only (+1) a class skill (+3) and based on Intelligence, everyone with a 16 or better Intelligence can take 10 to learn a spell. Other modifiers might exist (+/-2 for school/opposition school). If you cannot make this by taking 10 a roll is required.
I would like to see something listing which spells you are learning from which player (with a roll as necessary) and the total gp.
For example, if I am a conjurer with abjuration as an opposing school it will look something like this.
from Torgat: shield spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 6 - 2 = 11, summon monster I 20 gp
from Gaderffi: mage armor, magic missile 20gp
from Ylania: gravity bow 10 gp
Total gp: 50
Again on a long post it is a good idea to copy and paste a lot and I recommend typing it into text document first. This might be a good time to add in the dayjob roll if you haven't done so already. :)
EDIT: Please note that on a failed Spellcraft the wizard can't learn that spell and has to wait a week to attempt to learn it again, thus: shield spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 6 - 2 = 11. Since there is not time limit between adventures we can make another attempt, EDIT EDIT: shield spellcraft: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 6 - 2 = 18 but I may have to GM fiat some limits here. (*phew*)
