Vicard, hopefully with Urbar's help, pile the various bits of rubble and furniture into a rough barricade over the door.
Tereze, is it so bad if they run off? If they think the Almsman can hire fighters, they are likely to leave him alone. Better to not not have to kill anyone, as I'm sure you agree." He says as they finish piling the items.

While you know I applaud zat zinking, some zing gives me a bad feeling about zis.
If ze temple can hire mercenaries, zat could make zem think the temple has more money to give and make zem more insistent. Zey could also run off to get more help. We lose ze element of surprise if we do not deal with zis now.
We want to help zese people not make it worse.

"Tereze is right," Fiona whispers. "We don't want them to come back. Ever." She then turns aside and sees if anyone else needs healing or help and does her best to stay focused.

Gwen assists with making making a barricade near the door, to make only a single lane to access the inner sanctum of the Almsman sanctuary. (Indicated by the black rectangle.) Gwen shrugs when it comes to discussion gears towards disguises. "I am not skilled in such things. Fighting is my forte. I think perhaps it might be best to catch them as they come through the bottle neck here. We could even put another barricade in front that they must climb and open them open to our ranged attacks."

Urbar starts shifting the rubble with the others and then stands ready with his wand again.
"When were you expecting them?"

There's no rubble in the sanctuary. To find rubble you had to travel a bit back, to where you encountered the spiders. While walking back and forth to gather rubble, you've not yet seen any sign of the Steel Wyverns.
"I asked for them to come over and evade the place at exactly 2 pm," the Almsman replies sarcastically to Urbar.
"Like I know... They could come within a minute, they could at the end of the day."

"I'm going to hang out... Do things that make sense only to the highest of authorities..."
With that, Ery takes a couple cups from his set...smashing them on the ground with a look that could only be disgust upon his face. With great regret sinking into his eys, the elf then begins tossing small bits of glass outside the intended fight zone along the walk way. He returns after a moment.
He remains silent there after, resuming his previous position.
He's just setting up a make shift noise alarm for when they come near.

He says as he still holds his wand ready.

Laughter and footsteps can be heard approaching from the west. A voice calls out "Almsman! What say you? Are you resisting or giving us what we want? I hope you're resisting!"
"The hell, someone here didn't like tea cups..."
Going with the defense you were able to set up on the map.
The doors are thrown open and some thugs step inside.
"The heck's this?" one of the thugs says, looking from the pile of rubble to you.
Urbar's readied action triggers, and he casts lead blades on himself with his wand.

One of the thugs charges forward and hits Vicard in the face with a spiked chain. "Wrong place to be, chap!"

Another one of the Steel Wyverns moves up to Gwendallyn and tries to hit her with his spiked chain, but he misses her.

The moment the thugs step inside they see Urbar grinning. He takes a step towards them and draws both his swords.

He says as he swings his sword.

Gwen ducks beneath the spiked chain aimed at her head and as she straightens, she grabs hold of the length of chain and attempts to rip it from the thug's hands!

Fiona, completely lost, tries to make the southern thug in the room sleep with a lullaby. She softly whispers.
"Lullaby, and good night, in the skies stars are bright.

Fiona casts her hex and the disarmed Steel Wyvern falls asleep.
"Do I hear singing?" you hear a man's voice ask from the hallway. "Well we can't be left out now, can we, men?!"
The same voice then starts singing, with the other Steel Wyverns backing him up a cappella:

Vicard spits out blood and teeth as he reels back from the direct blow to his face. Nearly blinded with pain he steps back, but only a few feet. After finding his footing, he jabs his spear right at the already wounded Red thug.

His pain has blinded him though, and it goes wild. His blood starts to pool in his eyes and he wishes he had healed first.

Vicard steps back and jabs his spear at the already wounded thug, but the attack misses.
One of the Steel Wyverns in the hallway walks up to his sleeping mate and gives him a shove with his foot. "Wake up, you have to sing with us!"
The man on the floor wakes up and jumps in at the chorus.

Eryzule magic missiles slam into the red Steel Wyvern and turn the man into a bloody mess.
One of the Steel Wyvern's just outside of the sanctuary delays.
The prone Steel Wyvern goes total defense and tries to stand up, which provokes attacks from Gwendallyn and Urbar.

Fiona's eyes widen with horror as Urbar takes a massive blow to his neck and collapses almost instantly, his blood flowing onto the cold floor. Having a Steel Wyvern so close to her doesn't make things better and she decides to retreat, taking a step backwards and casting another hex at an interloper.
Fiona will delay till after Gwen's action, giving her flanking bonus (if she wants it) on Green. She'll then take a 5 ft step backwards and cast a Slumber hex, DC 14 vs. Will. If Gwen takes out Green or seriously hits him, she'll cast it on Yellow; if Green will be lightly wounded or still at full strength, she'll cast it on Green.

The man who's singing in Skald enters the sanctuary, still singing. He weaves the incantation of a spell in between the lines of his song and casts the spell on the Steel Wyvern next to him, fully healing the latter.

As she arrives next to Urbar her hand glows again and she softly rests it upon his wound.

Vicard tries to stab the yellow Steel Wyvern as the man passes, but misses.
Tereze heals Urbar back into consciousness. He finds himself lying on the floor, his swords next to him. (It's a move action to pick an item up, and it'll provoke an AoO.)
Eryzule fires two magic missiles at yellow, hitting the Steel Wyvern so hard he's nearly knocked out of his socks.
The blue Steel Wyvern pokes his (green) sleeping mate, waking him up. Blue then stands up from his prone position, provoking attacks from Vicard and Gwendallyn.

When the blue Steel Wyvern stands up, Vicard and Gwendallyn immediately attack him. Vicard misses the Steel Wyvern with his spear, but Gwendallyn drives her knee into the thug's face. The thug immediately drops back to the floor, this time unconscious.
While Vicard and Gwendallyn are focused on his blue comrade, the green thug quickly stands up from his prone position without any danger of provoking attacks. He snatches his spiked chain from between Gwendallyn's feet as he gets back on his feet.

Gwen glares at the audacity of the thug yanking the discarded chains from beneath her feet. "I'll take care of you in just a moment, after I deal with your friend here!" She then shifts to her left, flanking with Vicard while she turns her attention to the thug standing above her. She deals a vicious uppercut punch into the man's groin! "All of you drop your weapons, or you'll be next!"

Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7
Actions: Free - 5' step into new position on map to Flank Green with Vicard. Standard - Attack Yellow.
