Vargouille Have always freaked me out. I have a friend who just loves to throw them at us when he DMs.
Steph tell me when the time is up and I'll role play out what is needed.

The good news! Remove Disease only cost 150gp per casting! So we can get the transformation reversed after the adventure. And does anyone have Know - Planes??
Vicard Inck
|
Vicard knows almost everything but not Planes...sorry Tereze.
Do we tie her up to stop her from hurting us/ourselves?
Ery has Planes.
EDIT: Fiona has UMD, she can use that scroll of Break Enchantment on Tereze!
Tereze Amnell
|
Ahhh too bad that Tereze still has the scroll...
It was in her hand, and so far she hasn't dropped it....
In the Immortal words of Queen:
I'm going slightly mad
It finally happened
I'm slightly mad...
Hee, Hee

Scroll was clutched in Tereze's off hand so Urbar's should have seen it when he tied her up.
Eryzule, Lord of Tea
|
Oh.
Tereze Amnell
|
FYI Ery, you can target up to 9 creatures witching 30 feet of each other with that scroll. So you may want to update your action to get the crazy guy too.
Tereze Amnell
|
Does the scroll have any effect on my vargoiulle curse?
What about sleep?
| StephNyan |
The vargouille's kiss didn't inflict you with a curse.
Letting Ery finish the sleep spell and then use the scroll felt like giving him way too many actions before the enemy decided to attack. I decided Ery had to break off the spell from his earlier post, so he could do what was in his most recent post.
Tereze Amnell
|
I ment the sleep spell on me.
Tereze Amnell
|
Did I miss the exploration of the second small room off the store room?
Tereze Amnell
|
Ah that's why I missed it. At that point I was looking for things to play off being mad with, so the actual practical stuff didn't stick. :)
Gwendallyn

How does a average sized woman grapple a Large angry primate?
Carefully.
I think you mean to say: "like a boss" lol
Eryzule, Lord of Tea

I'd test and take your bet...but Gwen is in the way.
Tereze Amnell

Oh sure always blame the Women Ery, I see how it is ;)

Am going to change archetypes on Vicard from Sleuth to regular Investigator. Might take me a few days. I'd also like to spend some fo this money I have leftover. Do we get paid for these jobs or what? I don't recall.
Really fun sessions guys! No dragging undead fights.
Favorite Moment: Tereze climbing a dinosaur fossils.

So, GM, anything to say to use players? Has posting been good, RP good, anything you want to note?
Was going to do that once the scenario's truly over, but sure :P
First, I'll say I share the relief about this scenario not having a battle that dragged on and on! Pesky undead! There's been some brilliant roleplaying, and I hope you'll keep that up in the games to come. I continue to enjoy reading your posts, and I hope you enjoyed playing this scenario as much as I did running it! :)
Also, I'm curious to see what exactly Ery and Vicard will do with their characters. There'll be one more scenario at level 1, so don't feel afraid to test something that may not work: you can always change it again, one last time, after the next scenario.
Eryzule, Lord of Tea

I bringing the Magic Missile barrage to us. Some consistent Dmg by yours truly.

job roll Perform:Dance: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Obviously the Infection Tereze has interferes with her dancing. So the day job Roll only nets 1 GP.
Going to spend on PP on Cure Disease to remove this Vargoyle Curse. Other then that, I'm pretty happy with my character. I will probably pick up a masterwork Morningstar but that's the extent of my buying this time.

No job here.
The scenario was fun! Although not really Urbar's thing I guess... I will keep Urbar as Urbar. I like him as he is ^^ Cutting things up.

Sorry about the delay guys, my home PC took a crap on me yesterday... So I'm posting from my work notebook.
Also, Vic, I would highly suggest looking at the Empiricist archetype. Less additional daily points to have to track and you get to replace a worthless ability (Poison Use) with a some very nice abilities. Also, you get back Alchemy, which is awesome!
Eryzule, Lord of Tea

And set.
Ery is now an capable of 3d4+3 dmg with magic missile. Giggity.
Eryzule, Lord of Tea

Yes.
Tereze Amnell

I have a feeling the DM of the next session will understand the delay ;)
Vicard Inck

Vicard altered heavily to be stronger, faster (but not as smart). Society demands more battle useage then skill monkey.
Not done, but soon!
P.S. Still not happy, may do another re-think after this next scenario. Sorry guys for being wishy-washy!
Tereze Amnell
|
Hey they let us change our character at first level for a reason. It's hard to know what concepts work on the first try with these characters.
So not Wishy-Washy think of the character as becoming more refined.
Vicard Inck

Pondering playing a pretty Jekyll and Hyde Alchemist. High Int and stuff out of combat but going with Enlarge Person and Reach weapons for combat.
Any comments? A reach guy would really complete Gwen's grappling and Urbar's attacks and help defend the back rank casters. As well as having fun RPing the same strong silent Vic transforming into a roaring giant.
Gwendallyn

I think that would be really cool, Vic. You're limited to Longspear or Boarding spear obviously, but both make for good times. Also, make sure to pick up an Inspired weapon whenever you get a chance.

Awesome find, Gwen! So yeah, Next adventure will be a stronger Vicard Investigator (with a reach longspear) but I have a back up that goes even more into melee if I'm still not satisfied.

Yeah, couple that with Combat Inspiration and you can get some good results. You go through your Inspiration points faster, but it's for a good purpose. I actually made a potent combat focused half-elf investigator due to their awesome FCB for this class. Once he was able to pick up an Inspired weapon, he was adding 2d8+8 as extra damage on top of everything else.
For other weapons, rapiers are always good. Doesn't hurt to have a blunt weapon for that pesky DR, as well as a slashing weapon. Unfortunately your choice of slashing weapon is limited to sickle and dagger... That's it.
You'll be good a Coup de grace as well. 3d8+Strx3 is nothing to sneeze at.

My new weapins are...Longspear, Morningstar and a Composite Shortbow. More variety for those endless undead fights. I also packed lamp oil and alchemist fire. I'm loaded for bear.
I'm thinking, maybe even if I like this new build take a rank in Alchemist? I know multi-classing is sub-optimal but it might be fun? I, mean, to be fair, these adventures haven't pushed us to our limits. Since we have Gwen, the One Woman Army.

I, mean, to be fair, these adventures haven't pushed us to our limits. Since we have Gwen, the One Woman Army.
True they haven't pushed us to our limits, but That's pretty normal for Low level adventures in Pathfinder. I expect the difficulty to ramp up quickly, although I'm not sure what to expect from Season 0 as it was a 3.5 based adventure and Pathfinder characters are in generally more powerful then the old 3.5 characters were.
So multi-classing with probably be OK to a point.
And yes Gwen and Urbar have been golden on combat so far.
Urbar Anden

Mutliclassing should be possible. You will be less strong than a single class character but most of the time the first are more fun :) That's what the games about in my opinion. I also believe another player will join our group.
Vicard Inck
|
That is true Urbar, I forgot all about another guy. And I don't think any of us plan on leaving this game?
@All: Yeah, so my current plan (I change so Much) is to make Vicard stronger and more melee based (already done!) and take a dip into alchemist for next level. Throwing bombs is fun and useful.
