Dimitra

Dimitra looks around in the entrance, trying to see if there is anything that might be of help.

Kreighton Shane said it was a private room, which suggests it is one of the rooms on the second floor. •All of Arliss Hall radiates moderate magic when studied with detect magic, but currently only the door to F8 radiates strong conjuration magic.
As you begin to search the building, you soon notice that there is a guest registry near the entrance, identifying which rooms are available. Currently the registry lists nine rooms, including both room 8 and “room 8A”, even though no such room appears to exist. Room 8 is currently registered to the Pathfinder agent Osprey, while Room 8A is marked “Reserved — do not use.” At the top of the page are words written in delicate penmanship and red ink. “Arliss Hall values your privacy. Simply lock your door and we will see to it that you are not disturbed.”

Zeno accompanies them, an otherworldly gleam in his eyes.
I cast see invisibility.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
Ash - Eric de Vries

I actually know the answer to this, so unless you guys come completely stuck here I'm going to let you guys try to figure it out. If you want Ash to do something, just let me know and I'll (try to) do it
Ash follows the others around
Dimitra
|
Dimitra also casts detect magic, scanning the rooms
I also know the answer, so I am limiting myself to actions Dimitra would normally take
nightdeath

GOod call on all those who already know the answer. I'll leave it to you to figure it out then for those who don't.
As the party enters the rom, they see that the door is closed, but unlocked. Looking inside you can see a bed, a small desk, a chest and a mirror. There seems to be a key in the lock inside.
nightdeath

The mirror looks exactly like a mirror when Titus peers into it. There doesn't seem to be anything changed within the room.

Overseer Announcement
**********************
The floating tower begins to shift, tilting slightly to one side. A shower of debris rains down on the lawn and buildings below.
Ash - Eric de Vries
|
Since it's something that Ash would do, especially when he sees someone looking around he'd join in
'Oh, we are looking for something hidden. Let me help!"
Ash start to look through the room, picking up things Titus just moved to make sure he didn't miss anything.
(Casting guidance and then take 10 on perception for 10+15+1 = 26)
Dimitra
|
"What was that thing with 'privacy'? If we are all together in the room it isn't exactly private is it?"
nightdeath
|
Dimitra's words echoes in the very air. There seems to be a ring of truth in it.
Ash searches every inch of the rom and finds a secret passage way that leads to Room 7.
However the tower lurches and everyone's footing is compromised.
Early Request = Reflex Save DC 12 or fall prone.

I'm about to push everyone through if the party doesn't get it soon in order to make the deadline......hence the rather early request for a reflex save.

Reflex save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (6) + 6 = 12
I like puzzles, which is why it's frustrating me that I feel like I don't have enough information about this one; what are we trying to do with this puzzle, and what have we got to work with?
nightdeath

As Everyone Piles out, Titus locks the door.
Inside the room, Titus feels nothing different.
Outside the party waits.
nightdeath
|
There is no change in the mirror what so ever as Titus notices, having desired privacy, he hears nothing outside as well.
nightdeath
|
Lymwin doesn't hear anything while Titus is inside.
The door opens once more with a rather disappointed Titus.
The party considers what they have right now.
The Room has a key on the inside to be be locked.
There is a hidden passage in the room that leads to Room 7.
The mirror has to be doing something but so far has done nothing.
The ledger points out a Room 8 and 8a but there's no room with an 8a.
Zeno Loxley
|
Zeno looks over and through (if there is any 'through' to look) the desk.
Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24
He also looks in the mirror, and tries holding it at various angles to see if the reflections reveal anything strange.
Recall that I can presently see invisibility too.
nightdeath

Zeno finds no changes in the mirror despite what he tries to do so.

Titus once more locks the door and leaves the room via teh secret passage and finds himself in Roon 7 where he can hear the others outside.

After much fustrating trial and error, the party manages to figure out that the puzzle needs to be solved by having one of their number inside the room and locking it.
Once the door is opened as if never being locked reveals an empty room minus said member. This member would also not see the door being unlocked either but exiting via the secret passage would reveal his/her remaining party members outside the door.
Once this is done, the mirror starts glowing and as the party examines it discovers that it acts as a portal and one by one they step through.
Rail road Time. My apologies but time is running short.

The southeast corner of this room has broken off along with part of the floor. Rubble, loose bricks, and masonry litter the edges. Beyond the opening, blue sky and the Absalom’s city skyline are plainly visible. A solitary door is closed to the south and a full length mirror is bolted to northwest wall.
Forcing their way through the door, the party continues making their way forward aware that time is of importance here.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------- --------
The top floor of the tower is an open, undivided by interior walls but for the small space partitioning the stairwell. Windows large enough to step through line the exterior walls. Immense magical circles are permanently etched into the floor, their lines and curves inscribed and filled with several types of metallic powder. Faint, multi-colored mist roils within the southern circle. Two strange contraptions stand near the northwest and southwest windows. Each device is a large, red-tinted crystalline lens mounted in a frame so that they may be angled in all directions.
Agents look up as you enter, stunned as you make your entrance.
In the South within an enchanted circle a mist lies within writhing as if straining to get out.

Reflex Save DC 17 for half 6d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 6, 2, 2, 6) = 21
Meanwhile Dimitra once more raises her voice to give her party a morale boost as Titus uses his wand on himself, encasing himself in its protective magics.

Ryskovich is unable to move out of the way, a gigawatt of electricity it seems like coarses through his body. He nearly passed out but stands firm for now.
